Nothing is more important to me than shelter no matter how humble. I prefer indoor plumbing, but you can't deny the gift of a roof, and warmth especially in rainy or snowy weather. I'm always grateful for my humble home, it's all I ever wanted a simple shelter.
Of all the cabin videos, yours is the one I regularly watch. It's in our human nature to want to overcome nature's storms, snow, etc. Your cabin does that.
Loved the Christmas feel with wreath on the door and the pine cones and berries inside too, as well and the fire burning and outside scenery. Good relaxing video to watch.

I lived in a log cabin for over a year on the reservation in the western Carolina mountains and it was way more updated than this. Beds, bathroom, kitchen, living room, etc,etc it was a great experience. Especially seeing the snow coming down,The mountains in the background with a big cup of coco 🍵in my hand. Such great memories!!!
Love your cozy cabin! Reminds me of the one my grandfather built of stone in the 40’s in MN. It was “Off Grid”, before Off Grid was cool. Out house, big fire place, oil lamps, no running water. Carried water from the spring ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
So pretty with the snow falling, the shot from behind the trees to the cabin is fabulous! You need one of those knobby door mats to get the snow off your feet. Great clock you hung up.
I agree with the doormat!! I had one at my camp. Made all the difference in the world! It’s actually like a straw type material that combs the snow out of the boot treads, so snow isn’t tracked in all over the floor. Cool place. Love the simplicity.
Beautiful little cabin! All it's missing is a kitchen with a stainless steel stove, fridge and microwave, plus a 75" OLED flat screen and a hot tub. By the way, I'm an American.

Nice cozy cabin set in beautiful country. Almost make me wish I liked snow and winter. Plunk that cabin down in an isolated spot on Curacao or St. Kitts and it would be perfect. "It is very hot in the cabin." I was thinking that the stove looks as if it throws off a decent amount of heat.
I have the same woodstove. I drilled a 3/16 inch hole in the little tab handle on the door. (Easy) then put the hook of a 4 inch spring through it. Over stretch the spring so it has gaps between coils. Provides a cool to the touch handle for opening and closing the stove door.
Put a small easily lit something on top of wood to create a draft up the chimney and then light the fire from below . The smoke will go up the chimney instead of in your room. I found a little diesel on saw chips or dust makes a good starter and it always works . Small shavings from a very dry wood are handy to store up as well. Sleep well and stay alert.

It seems I run into so few who really like being away from all else. I’m too close to humanity right now and long to be away again. Freedom hating people try to restrict life at every turn as if they have the answer. This guy has a home and a great story I’d bet. God bless and stay safe.
The wood stove in our old hunting camp in Pennsylvania used to keep it around 75 degrees head high and felt like 30 degrees at your feet. We put a fan in to circulate the air and it worked. We had a way too big of a wood stove and if someone loaded it up to the max, we'd have to prop the door ajar with a creek stone to tame the blast furnace down some. Your Log Cabin is very nicely put together. We moved to Florida a decade ago for health reasons, but I still miss the northern woodlands and especially the old hunting camp.
@@j.j.8741 Hi J.J., I miss the freshwater trout fishing and still can't get used to deer hunting in the 83-degree temps of these sub-tropics. I am pretty much adjusted to the temps and may have to head up to Georgia to get in some trout fishing.
