Hello, I'm Victor Dustin. Today I came to this log house that I left 10 years ago. I left this house years ago due to my workload, but when I retired, I wanted to clean and repair my wooden house. There is no better place to hide from the freezing cold than a wooden hut.

I am watching from the state of Georgia in the south eastern United States. I am in the process of building a 12 x 12 cabin on family property. It will be a dry cabin. A place to go on weekends and get away from everything. I have recently retired from a 36 year manufacturing career.
Good plan. We have a small cottage on a small lake in NE Wisconsin. It's our refuge from this crazy world. Love every minute we are there. My family bought me a used electric golf cart last summer. Can't wait to use it again. Enjoy your cabin and retirement. Am sure you earned it.

Grabbed the first apartment in town 😢 that allowed dogs. I have one and my son has three. He wasn’t able to leave hospital unless it was a suitable place. Once he healed enough I brought my dog up home, bought a small camper and did the gardens, mowing and cleaned around the burned house. Went back in town in the fall and I was SO depressed. Couldn’t even see the stars due to town lighting 😢. Came back home to the camper in alpril to do the same AND couldn’t leave. I’m still here 😊♥️🙏 and happy. The more rustic I can live the better 👍. Bought the property in 1984 - HARD place to not be. Backyard is woods, there’s a brook 🤗🥰 ,, LORD willing, I’m STAYING! Total darkness and bright stars, coywolves howling, deer passing through 👍♥️ SOLITUDE - ya just can’t beat it

Не поверю, что в минус 10, можно было переночевать там.. В домике сплошные дырки, печка отапливает просто улицу. Сугубо женское мнение😊.

Всё видео для того, что бы мы ощутили всю прелесть наших мягких диванов в квартирах с центральным отоплением. А на счёт ночёвки при минусе, это какой иметь спальник.

Great cabin, needs insulating more tho. How you made a bed, table, stool, cooked etc before you got to bed is very inspiring. The food looked delicious. The sleding was funny, good to see you make your own entertainment.
What a total getaway! I love your rustic cabin. You made it so functional with the absolute bare minimum of effort. As an Aussie, ‘roughing it’ is part of the culture (or used to be 🤷♀️) and I love that you are obviously used to doing that.

I wish you well. Keep warm. The guy who is from Lincolnshire said spring is here. I live brighton south coast and the weather is horrific in the north. Flooding everywhere. We have had 1,day without rain. My long walks is just walking on sodden ground.
Would love to build a cabin but the cost of land is outrageous and virtually impossible to buy.
Why not put a tent inside the room for added warmth? I like that you tried cleaning before using.

If this is your cabin then why not fix it up ..insulate it put a bigger stove , brick and steel , for real heat, and windows in it .
and why is there doors to other rooms? What are they like, it sure doesn't look like it's been abandoned for 10 years either.

Hi Victor. That was too bad about losing your drone. Those things are expensive. I've seen some with a "find my drone" feature on it. It gives off an audible sound that allows you to track it down. Maybe invest in one of those next time. Another fantastic video. I think it would be so much fun to have an abandoned town to hang out in and renovate. Looks like you had fun sledding. I'm looking forward to your next video.

Non sono d'accordo. Tutto ha un prezzo. In questi casi , tagliare alberi per costruire o riparare abitazioni in cui non si vive e che quindi non sono necessarie , è costosissimo. Il danno che si reca all' ambiente è irreparabile e la natura prima o poi ci presenterà il conto, e sarà un conto molto salato.

Чудовий будинок ! Знаходиться в надзвичайно гарному місці. Залишається тільки утеплити його. Бо в такому стані , як зараз , він , навряд чи може захистити від холоду і бути комфортним для тимчасового проживання.

Домик нужно утеплять,везде щели видно.Когда в домики подметали он сильно просвечивался и полы тоже,всё тепло на улицу выходит.Зачем такой большой строить,ведь долго протапливается

My sister and I used to have almost exact kind of sled as kids! They were so cool because you could use those handles to brake and steer! Seeing you on that brought all those memories rushing back! Great video!
