The towel was a good idea when I installed mine 😂 definitely came in handy. And thanks for the torque requirements I tried looking for them and couldn’t find them

I just did this 2 days ago! I did it in the garage so I could suspend the bars up from the ceiling while I worked.

I just did this on my gtx. Cables look kinda tight. I'm 6'3". I tried it in the rear position first and it was ok. After I rode a few times. I moved it back to stock forward. It's almost perfect for me there. I can lean back on my Utopia backrest and go

Alan! Perfect timing! I just today received my 40mm risers from Voight. I have not installed them yet, but they seem to be very well-made and the packaging was superb. Thanks for your insights as always, and thanks for producing this video. Cheers!

I did have the same set-up: 20 mm Voigt in the rearward position.
But after I installed machineartmoto's ADVance handguards I had to swap the 20 mm for 30 mm to prevent damage to the fuel tank.

@garreltvanhall4258 I had that issue as well so I just tilted up my bars. It makes it even better for offroad riding in my opinion.

Great video, Alan! Thanks for putting it together. Judging by your video, where you placed the bars is perfect relative to your size and your seating position. Cheers!

Mine arrive tomorrow (apparently) from the same manufacturer. Some of the retaining bolts on the clamp seemed very loose 🤔, probably just as well everything got retorqued!

Hello, thanks for the video. Did I understand correctly with the dynamic key at 36Nm and 26Nm? Thanks.

Salve Alan, ho acquistato gli stessi riser 20mm WM che vorrei montare sulla mia GT pro.
Come cambia la posizione in sella ? E' piu' confortevole per braccia e schiena nei viaggi piu' lunghi ?Grazie

Hi - I have definitely found that the riding position is much more comfortable with the bar riser. I also moved the bar to the position nearer to me.

Great video Alan! Just out of curiosity, do you reckon a ~40mm risers would work with the stock cables? I'm quite a bit taller so looking to add a bit more height for standing, but can't find any good resources online that say for sure.

Hi Houston. To me it looks like it should be fine. If you look through the comments you will see that Bear also ordered the 40mm risers so he should be able to confirm. Just also remember that once you install even the 20mm risers you can also bring the bars forward on the Explorer models. On the pro models you don't need risers at all in order to bring the bars forward. You can also tilt the bars upward which will give more height and also give you a better position for the clutch and brake levers while standing. I'm probably going to move my bars forward and tilt them up soon as I was not enjoying the clutch an brake lever positions the last time I was out riding off-road. Before I put the bar risers on I had the bars tilted upwards but I put them back down again after installing the risers.

I just had the 40 mm risers from Voigt installed on my '22 Rally Explorer. They work with the stock cables and don't block the screen. I'm 6 ft 3 in and they provide me with the perfect seating and standing position.

So, you dont have any problem with stock cables? I had 20mm raiser but havent installed yet. It looks i will have cable problem becouse it seems there is not enough cable for raiser. Did you pull to cables? Or the stock cables were enough for it?

    • @vsmamik1977

      No issues. Used stock cables.

Nope. I didn't see any on when I removed the bolts, and there were no instructions to do so in the service manual that I saw. Please let me know if you have seenanything different.
