    I love the bike. As you say, the seat and the suspension is the best I ever had on a motorcycle! I been riding motorcycles for 36 years and this is the best bike I ever had!

      @@richardgiles2484 awesome 👏 never ridden the 800XCA but believe the new 900 feels better which I rode. I remember some years ago test riding a second hand tiger 1200 and hated it. This new one is a huge just on from that but yes very tall bike

    Nice trip report and summary on the bike. Definitely interests me especially as I currently tour on an MT10.
    I've finally found a dealer (Staffordshire Triumph) willing to lend their demo out for a good long test. Problem is supply of new bikes, they don't think they would have the model I would like until November. Bike season is over by then so probably hold out to next year.

    Great review nick.
    It’s good that you’ve done it after so many miles instead of a quick hour ride and a review. At least you can notice the good and the bad. They’re not cheap so having more time in the saddle will help.
    I went youles Blackburn last weekend to look around one. They’re massive aren’t they.
    On a side note. Have you seen or going to review the cfmoto 800touring?

    Fantastic trip and an excellent review! Thanks for sharing both footage and opinions with us. I was wondering if you ever found yourself in a tricky situation during your trip where the bike itself made it "interesting"? You forced through quite some hairpin curves and seemingly very narrow Alp village streets. Did the top heavy nature, or any other properties of the bike ever surprise you even the slightest?

    • @echsylon

      So all in all it’s my favourite bike of 2022, second is the Tiger 660, actually also MCN bike of the year announced today. It’s all Tigers this year! 👍 the bike took it all in its stride really, even with the boxes on no issues filtering. I just had to remember to park correctly with the heavy luggage so I could pull the bike upright from the side stand. 😂

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Roland, thanks for tuning in and the sub 👍 so the panniers release by a clip one press really easy and have indicators on rack attach area red for off and green when clipped in so visible when secured. The top box same easy one press on lever and top box removes. You need key on all to remove for security. Really well built as they are Givi really 👌 hope that helps

    Hello Nick. Thanks for your review. I’m happy that the only negatives about it are being too heavy and having a high seat. I’m currently on the 2017 Triumph Explorer.
    I just tried the new Explorer and it’s totally a different bike all together. Coming for the old version, I can live with it being top heavy, not as bad as the old one.
    One thing that impressed me the most is the heat management. The old one is really bad especially at the tank area. I had a bike for less than 20 mins.
    Do you had any real heat issues that affects you one way or another?

    • @MOTOUK1

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks 🙏 I suppose it would just add cost, tbh its one of the easiest screens to adjust one finger while riding. The GS one is so difficult from what I’ve seen as its a screw you have to turn which is difficult while riding. Yep next video on the trip drops friday 👍

    • @grumpytrumpy8015
      @grumpytrumpy8015 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not really any benefit to an electric screen, just adds weight , cost , complexity & cost. The new manual screen is the easiest on the market to adjust . Quick & simple. K.I.S.S principle !

    Thanks for the review - however, I missed to comments - 1) on vibration, 2) on engine heat. Lastly you said you'd prefer the rally explorer - though it's so top heavy? Thanks & stay safe

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Thanks for tuning in. 👍 on question 1) 15:35 mins into video no vibrations, bars or pegs 👌 2) so the side radiators have scoops that through the radiator engine heat away from the rider. No heat issues even in 37 degree C 👌. I do i like the spoked wheels on the rally explorer, so for me the rally explorer, however i am yet to ride the GT so thats to come soon to the channel, i will then give my thoughts one against the other

    Just a quick question, I twice weekly ride for breakfast and coastal routes with a few mates. We tour three times a year, twice in the UK & once European. Is this bike good for both lives in your view or something like a Multistrada due to the weekly times???? Thanks Phil

    • @MOTOUK1

      Only my opinion Phil but I would have this bike over a Multistrada. You could use it daily, weekly or an epic tourer. I used it for daily rides here in U.K. after the big trip. I just can’t justify having a third bike 😂👍

      Hi 👋 and thanks for tuning in. I can confirm having risen extensively that on the new tiger range 660, 850, 900 and this new 1200cc that there are no issues of old Tigers. Having ridden all the triumph range in the last year current models it’s very difficult to pick any of the range that I didn’t like. Very difficult to say that about a motorcycle manufacturer these days. I even put my own money into a Bonneville over Christmas 👍 hope that helps and have a great new Year 🥳🥂🍾

    I've read a lot of reviews about this new Tiger and I'm getting the distinct impression that it comes down to whether you prefer a Triumph or a BMW? Does that sound about right?

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I have not ridden the BMW yet but recently bought a tiger after taking this one from triumph on the trip. I love the bike, a lot have preferred the tiger as the bmw telelever front suspension lacks feel on front end. I would imagine both are great bikes, im just not a BMW fan. I bet there are a few bargains around next year when they launch the 1300 new bmw model

    I find it baffling that you say there are no vibrations on this bike?! Was it part of your agreement when you borrowed the bike that you would leave a positive review? This bike has serious problems with vibrations particularly through the handlebars I can say that first hand as I own this bike

    • @MOTOUK1
      @MOTOUK1  ปีที่แล้ว +11

      All bikes have vibrations but I never had any issues on the 2300 mile trip with tingling fingers or feet. I give my personal honest review and it doesn’t matter who loans me bikes I will alway say if I find something bad or good! I’ve been riding 35 years now and many hundreds of motorcycles, so when I say I didn’t have problems with vibrations it’s true.
