I used some of the ideas from this project in my angle grinder stand. IMO, the project has the following main advantages: 1. The cutting disc is not in contact with the base of the stand 2. Sliding workpiece table I am grateful to the author for his work.
Add metal spark catcher or sheet metal box with magnets on outside to stop the filings going all over. Collect them use for other project. Good idea no flakes of metal everywhere. Saw it on youtube:)

Does the wood not ignite from sparks? It's an ingenious way to start fires... Although it is a good achievement, it cannot be used for the processing of metallic materials that cause incandescent/hot sparks without the risk of fire, and the question is 'when?' and not 'if?' there will be a fire sometime.
