I am still doing caricatures at the age of 91, this is not a typo, do yo remember the old guy who came into your studio and you asked to draw your caricature, but a customer came in and I didn't finish it, but did later and it is in your website now, you later called to tell me my cartoon was in MAD, you are the greatest.
Just got the book from amazon India.
I bought it for my son who is 17 yrs old And loves doing caricature and cartoons... The book is a great guide for those who wish to follow caricature as study or hobby.

Wow...my original comment really went to the left...LOL! I just wanted to say again thanks for an awesome book. And you were correct I loved the book so much I had to add it to my library. It really address some issues that I was having with my caricatures and opened up my drawing and artistic style. Keep em' coming...hopefully there will be another book that will help with drawing from the neck down and creating a scene. Thanks again Mr. Richmond.
Last month, I got your book as a Christmas present from my sister. Absolutely LOVE it! By far the most useful drawing book I have. The depth, detail, various approaches, and tons of step by step examples, make this much easier to learn than expected. On top of that, I consider you (and Mort Drucker), to be the best caricature artist of all time. This book is worth it just for the art alone! Fantastic.

I became interested in caricature mostly because of Brad Bird. He said animation was caricature, and you can see that in his movies, everyone is a little exagerated. Also, movie spoofs with these "realistic" cartoons are really funny to me and i'd like to draw some.

Sorry, but the cost of translating the book and printing a different edition is prohibitive. I'd never sell enough copies in Spanish or any other language to justify the costs. The only way this would happen is if a foreign publisher bought the rights to produce the book in another language.
