In 2023, Norfolk & Western Class J #611 returned to the mainline in her home state of Virginia running through the Shenandoah Valley on the Buckingham Branch. Some early morning rain made for a symphony of whistles and wheel slips as she worked hard to climb the grade in Ferrol. Thank you to the Virginia Museum of Transportation for making her return to the mainline a reality and hopefully this can be a spectacle for railfans and others to enjoy for years to come. It's always a pleasure to see the iconic 611 in action. Also, I want to add that I have an HO scale brass version of 611, imported by Key Imports and produced by Samhongsa of South Korea. It is an exceptional representation of the real thing. I enjoyed the video. 🎥
