I think I misspoke and said "steel frame" for the M&P. It is not steel, but an aluminum alloy. My bad! Still heavier than polymer, which was the point of reference, but certainly not as much so as steel. Apologies.
🤔. That would be cool to see. I'm still waiting for Smith&Wesson to come out with their 4.6 inch M&P 10mm is steel frame. That! Be. Bad ass. I'll buy
Love the "Song of my People"!
Great comparison Justin enjoyed it thanks
I own them both and love them both for different reasons but in truth the echelon is a far superior value with more upside.
You don't feel the metal frame of the M&P is beneficial? As far as shooting goes
@@lon242the M&P Carry Comp has an aluminum frame. Not enough added weight to make enough difference when shooting (like a steel gun would). The Echelon's polymer frame flexes which could potentially help with felt recoil. Not sure why Justin called it a steel M&P. As far as I know, S&W doesn't make a steel frame variant.
Great video. I have and love my Echelon. I have the original one, and I got it ported. I absolutely love the way it shoots.
Love the Mantis data!
Great comparison 👍🏻…I would love to see the Echelon come with a metal frame as a like heavier pistols. I guess we can always get the Icarus frame.
THANK YOU!
How long have I watched this channel and laughed at the “Toy Ducks on a treadmill studios” ? The world may never know
I own both brands but more Springfield than S&W and I really like my Echelon and mines not a comp one. I like the feel of the Springfield's and little better. And you always do a great review.
should use the plastic frame m^P with comp slide to vs echelon comp
There is no sexier gun than the M&P 2.0
That slide does it for me, & the grip is amazing
Why on earth would you show the full details of the less relevant bag test, and not on the standing test?! With that said, great video man. Thanks
People were having accuracy issues with the Echelon comp. Did you notice any of that? Like shots weren't grouping as tight vs the M&P comp?
Own the M&P10 2.0 Perf Cernter, and have an Echelon with TB on the way in their Gear Up package. Another song of my people SHALL BE played soon, SA come sin to FFL tomorrow. Good times, great vid!
nice ending .I do like the Springfield.
Thanks for the video. I'm looking for one just don't know which one.
COMParison? lolol. I love it! And I love my Echelon -- became my favorite handgun the first time I fired one at a release/demo event; I just can't say enough good things about it and I absolutely bet my life on it as my EDC.
Echelon is modular . Gives more options. Better feel in the hands as well.
I don't own either one of these models. I do own an XD 4" compact first generation. I feel comfortable and confident but would like more handguns. I am not a fan boy to any company. I am however a fan boy to all guns and 2A. I have compared many handguns. I feel Springfield slide is smooth when racking it back. There is no grit like i feel with Smith and Wesson, FN and Glock. My XD hasn't been treated nice but there are no scratches, rust or wear and tear. I think the quality is decent with Springfield. I do want other handguns.
Solid review as usual. I really like the whole S&W M&P 2.0 line, but I have not interest in the metal frame striker tools. Polymer w/ manual safety and I would really consider one. I noticed the Echelon is now available wth a manual safety option... when it hits a full tactical version in a G19 size, I'll probably get one. The comp version is wall cool and functional imo, but you loose the ability for a suppressor / thredded barrel.
We need a echelon in 10mm
Makes sense the M&P has a slightly smaller angular offset. It is a steel frame and has more weight than the Echelon. Both looked pretty good so whichever you prefer in ergo, company, etc.
*Aluminum
Can you try and compare echelon and walther pdp pro x?
If I can get my mitts on the Walther.... absolutely!
I've been on an M&P kick for a bit now and have picked up a few in different calibers. I would love to see a comparison of the .40 2.0 polymer frame vs the .40 Metal. The modularity of Echelon intrigued me but I wasn't really impressed by the two I've handled.
Man you got yours out just a few days before mine! I'll be posting one soon with the polymer (compact) Carry Comp and the Echelon Comp. I'll also be using the Mantis, and I'll also chronograph velocities. I wonder if there will be any noticeable difference with the polymer grip.
Love my Echelons! I like the Smith, but I’m just not a fan of the aggressive sand paper like grip texture.
Just moved to a new state and haven’t gotten a new DL. I want to buy the comp echelon so bad
Buy both !
Problem
Solved
As you already stated, it’s not steel-framed, but aluminum. That said, there’s a huge difference between steel and aluminum! The aluminum frame looks cool, but doesn’t offer any advantages over the polymer frame, since they weigh about the same. S&W missed the mark on this one.
We need similar video but with Glock 17/19C in comparison.
The M&P is aluminum-framed, though...?
We need to get rid of daylight savings it’s just dumb tbh
Looks like the Smith is the more accurate of the two.
Echelon all the way.
That M&P is metal not Steel. I wish Smith and Wesson made a true steel pistol
..isn't steel a type of metal 💀 a alloy to be exact
Justin, it’s time for you to break out the Trump bobble head for another video buddy!👍
