Gm mode have been updated though first round picks are worth more you can also find 4 gold star people in the later rounds players grow differently then nhl 14 so if loved nhl 14 gm mode then you will love nhl 15 gm mode for 360 or ps3
You'd think Johnny knows what 1 and 2 way deals mean. It doesn't determine if the player can be sent down without waivers it means the player has different salary in the NHL and the AHL. You can see if he doesn't have to go through waivers on the left of the contract type column. For example at 25:35 Lessio and Schlemko both have two way deals but if Schlemko is sent down he has to clear waivers but when Lessio was sent down he didn't have to.

I don't think Johnny realizes we're paying $70 for this game when it basically does the same amount of changes as a GTA DLC and that's for free.

Love coming back to these and seeing the old Menus. I played 13 and 14 a ton but I feel like 15 on Xbox one was so damn good. So many memories coming back from my first job at 2am and getting high as fck and doing gm modes while watching Johnny
As per the CBA: 1-way and 2-way contracts refer to the salary that a player makes whether he's playing in the NHL or the AHL. 1-way contracts make the same amount of money regardless of if they are in the NHL or the AHL. 2-way contracts, on the other hand, have one salary if they are in the NHL, and a separate (often much lower) salary if they are sent to the AHL.
EA Sports tries to simplify the waiver process by claiming that 1 and 2 way contracts determine a player's eligibility. It doesn't. Whether a player has to go through waivers or not depends on several factors, including age, salary, number of games played in the league, number of years in the league, etc. - basically too complex a system to code into a video game like NHL. Instead, EA simplifies this by stating that waiver eligible players are those on 1-way deals. As per the CBA, whether a player is on a 1 or 2-way deal doesn't influence whether a player is waiver eligible.

Johnny, you should bring the injury occurrence back up to the standard level since all you are needing to do is hit best lines.
Also, you should sign a high 70 player to sit on the bench in case of injuries. Rather than constantly doing roster moves.
Johnny I'm pretty sure for the xbox one you can check out players that match your trading block by going to each team in the trade players screen and filter by matching trade block.

I'm sure if any of us regular people who work a 9-5 job did something wrong at work we'd be punished for it, so why isn't EA? Their staff does a shit job and they get rewarded with "Sports game of the year" every single year only because of sales.
They know you will continue to buy it so they release shit and get away with it.

***** Doesn't mean you should give them money if you don't think the improvements are substantial enough. This isn't an investment for later. You don't buy this years games in hopes that they will fix their mistakes next year with the money you've given them now.

CanEHduh88 they have for the next gen. I don't like what they have done for the next gen but the current gen improvements have been what I have been waiting for.

It isn't realistic because in this game there are injuries every other game
Same with last game, I had two of my first line players play a combined total of 4 games and both get injured until February/march.

The waiv column is important for calling up or sending down not the one-way/two-way contract

Anyone else think that it's hilarious that Crosby and ovechkin have the same shooting rating (in hut anyways)? Most of crosbys goals are tap ins or garbage goals.
It's because EA has a hard on over Crosby, I don't know why his rating is so much higher than everyone else, 96 is too high... At most 95

Hey 2BC. Im just wondering what your opinions are on player overalls in NHL 15. Because I remember you did your own player adjustments in 14 because you didn't like some current overalls and stats. Do you feel like the stats are pretty accurate in this game? Or will you be making your own custom corrections again?
I usually keep 1 or 2 forwards, 1 or 2 defense and a goalie with one way contracts on the team but not dressed. These players are usually 78-81, 33 or older, and are used for subbing in for injuries. I like to have 1 offensively D and forward, and 1 Defensively minded as well. Also if I look at my team I like to have 1 player on each line that can jump up a line and still be good for the position.
If injuries are still an issue, I suggest turning them on at the draft deadline instead of the playoffs. This makes you have to make some trades for depth at the trade deadline and if a sub does really well, maybe he can earn a fulltime spot come playoff time. The injuries will also help keep the standings more in flux for the last run.

I started one with Arizona to see how my team would compare. Except I got rid of Marc Savard, Chris Pronger and Mattias Ohlund and changed Brent Burns and Dustin Byfugliens positions I left the rosters with the first update

I want to buy NHL 15 for my PS3 and I was wondering if I will have the same GM Mode that Johnny has on his XBOX 360? Or if it will be a bit complicated as it is on the XBOX One?
Then I wonder if you can see the full statistics on a player from when he started his career. Can you see it when you play GM Mode? Hope you understand where I'm going with this?

I would do like a Win a cup in the first 3 years run for a team that is set to win now on the 360 and then switch over to the X1 version for a new GM Mode with the updated draft.

How good is dauphins potential?
Doan is the heart and soul of that team. Trading him is like trading Messier to the fan base
only problem with this series is that eventually you will have to make the switch whether it be this year or in 16 you will have to learn the new format and i guess you will just get a late start to it
Next GM mode should be the Red Wings and Johnny needs to extended the playoff streak how ever long the series is.

Keep an eye on Alfredsson and Doan's points... Alfredsson had more points on line 2 than Doan on line 1.
What you should do is when the xbox one update comes out with the draft you should go straight to that GM mode but play out this one on the 360 but put all your efforts into winning the cup since you will move to the Xbox one GM mode.

It would be smart to just keep it rolling like this but if you get a major injury like Doan out for 3 months + I would trade for a 83 overall player who can kind of step in with 1 year left
I noticed the second line is a TWF-PLY-PLY line. I suggest trading away Korpikoski, the LW on that line, for an equal-skilled sniper. Snipers work much better with a couple of playmakers (99 chem) than a twf does.
I think you should do the next gen gm mode as a Ottawa senators live the life. play as the rival of your favorite team as the player coach and a little bit of gm other then the draft as playing for the whole year and try to win the cup!
Johnny do the Arizona gm mode on the 360 do a few years and then start up a new one on the new console when the draft is patched in

SliceofBread123 Because they had to prioritize. They were improving the next gen draft and they couldn't get it done so it is better to patch it in when it's stable compared to having it in the game unstable.

Focus on the best Right Wings because you have 3 older right wingers in Doan, Erat, and David Moss (correct me if hes 30 or younger). Your centrers are fine with Boedker Sam Gagner and Vermette because Vermette has a good contract which means he is easier to trade and hes also 30. So hes got a good 4 years

You have a shit ton of cap. Sign up a ton in free agnecy. Upgrade whatever positions you can. At the deadline trade players picked up on FA with the player they replaced for an significant upgrade. Next year repeat. Year 3 have an all star team. Then have to fight to keep cap down for 20 years.

Although your centers are producing i`d change Gagner and Hanzal other way around. Then you`d have one playmaker in both lines as Gagner and Alfredsson.
Is it just me, or does everyone else when u do a gm mode that you dont care how your team does in the first year so you can get the high draft pick and then the 2nd year aim to make the playoffs?

Is it just for me, but I find the Coyotes are usually has a really good record in NHL games even though they have a decent team. Yet a team like the Blackhawks usually do bad...
No Chicago usually always makes playoffs in first year but I find pitsburgh does bad a lot.
