I use Lydian b2 b6 scale for weird sound
0-1-4-6-7-8-11-12-13-16 etc
I'll definitely try that others

All 12 notes work...
I'll explain it in C Maj/Amin....or the Major scale's interval as reference
b2, b3.........b5, b6, b7 are the 5 BLACK keys
Im Pushing down from C Major towards C min.
There are 9 other ( 7 notes) scales variations.( they had to call them something)
Within each scales are 7 different modes.
b6 = Harmonic MAJOR
b3 = melodic min
b3, b6 = Harmonic min
b3, b6, b7 = Natural min
b2, b3 = Melodic min b2 ( aka N6)
b2, b3, b6 = Harmonic min b2 ( aka N6)
b3, #4 = melodic min aka Lydian dim or lydian b3 ( Iv of Harmonic MAJOR)
b3, #4, b6 = Harmonic min #4...aka double harmonic min
b3, b5 = melodic min..aka the OneEyeMonsta scale :-P
b3, b5, b6 = Harmonic min b5.....III of Hungarian MAJOR
Ion #6...
You can reverse the process...Push Up from A min towards A MAJOR.
It's still be the same 5 black notes
G#....F#, G#......D#, F#, G#.......Bb, G#.......Eb, G#........D#, G#...ect
b3, b6,b7
b3, b6
b3
b6.........ect
The trick is to mix in the different scales as you wish.
The 2, 4, b6, 7 chords are all possible FULL dimisnish.
They over lap in A harmonic min and C harmonic MAJOR
AND C harmonic min and A Harmonic MAJOR
Augmented chords are also symmetrical
C,E,Ab or G#, E, C
Harmonic min b5 AND melodic min b5 B = FULL dimished W ( b6 and Maj6)
It's 4th mode
dorian b2, #4 AND Mix b2, #4 = FULL dim HW.
You could play both WH and HW...over the Same root.
example...lets say Im in F MAJ/D min
Im going to do whatever...sort of like Sultain of Swing.
or strum the chords like spanish guitar.
D min, C maj...BbMaj, A Major
and do Bb maj..Amin...G min...,A min
And Im going to play............. D min , Eb Maj. F maj Eb maj ,D min...ect
It'll sound as if I have some motis going...but cool spanish or metal :-P
becuase of the b2
The Eb Maj chord is from the N6..
I can also play Eb maj to C min...G min...F min E min/E7 into A min
Bb maj, B dim, C maj C# aug into D min E dim F Maj F# dim into G Maj
C7 into F min..then...G full dim C# dim into D min...
Like I said...the full dim overlap in Harmonic MAJOR or Harmonic min
In other words..F Major or F min
I can play all 12 chord degree...Im just used to it.
I could had done all kind of different stuff...it's UNLIMITED
once you learn different scales..it's actaully EASIER to play and write music.
