i just noticed this on a run i just did, if you hover over DPS it says its the "highest 30 second dps" in the run so its just the average of the best 30 seconds in the entire run! wish i saw that earlier haha
I managed to kill the first maps boss with the cleric. The cleric is very powerful against swarm of enemies so you need to pick up some single target weapons for the last boss. I was lucky and got the Stream of fire upgrade for the Dragon's Breath (fire walls) ability that turned it into a fire beam attack.
in diablo 2 you can reset skills after you finish "den of evil" quest, then just talk to Akara and you'll see in her menu, you can finish this quest three times on each difficulty, and on each difficulty you can reset, so overall thats 3 free resets, but you can reset skills even if you wasted all of akara's resets by cubing a token of absolution, from 3 different essenses which rarely dropped by the bosses and only on hell difficulty, bosses are diablo, baal and i believe duriel oh yeah, that's true for a version of game 1.10+
You can highlight over the buffs on the side bar while your playing to see what the buff is real time. I have found stacking duration and range with attack speed is the way to go with the exterminator.
The third area is really hard so you need to upgrade and get some decent gear before trying it again. In regards to the traits, most traits can go up to level 5, but the abilities can go up to level 10. There are exceptions like multihit and piercing which are rare traits and only got to level 2 (once you unlock it). Certain magic traits can only go level 3. There are also a bunch more characters you are going to want to unlock since they strong and really fun to play as.

Pickup range is underrated. Making sure every bit of xp is gathered and not having to rely on a timely “suck” drop will equal to less than optimal progression - and then you are facing progressively harder enemies. I tend to be very aggressive and run towards the enemies for the first 5-6 minutes until I can do 100+ main weapon dmg. Also I think the metrics are not as advertised - I got cleric to health regen to 1.0 with a 50% bonus and was constantly regenerating health to a point where i was not scared of taking several hits.
D2 akara would give you one free respec after clearing den of evil, normal nightmare and hell, so 3 times. Could also respec with horadric cube but super expensive.
I just started watching and I see that he is trying area three with basically no upgrades, I'm calling it now that he will either die to the horse guy or he won't have enough damage to kill the horse guy so the next boss will show up and he will get overwhelmed by the two bosses + all the powerful minions.
I dont know why you wait so long to pick up the new abilities when you dont have a particualr build in mind. Its a waste of DPS. Less dps => less kills => less exp = easier to die. more kills = more exp = more choices when you level up+ quicker level ups. Just pick them up right away!!

I have found the archer is good but you gotta get lucky and get bunches of crit. That and attack speed means you hitting for a lot of damage.

Splinters were definitely good with more enemies on screen
There's fire damage in the upgrades section and you have a character that shoots fire 🤔

I've heard (hard to say how important it is) to hold on scrolls to try to get their upgraded version once they're level 3.
