Love this poem I'm still a virgin &proud ...saving myself for my husband!(: even though I'm only 17 it gets hard sometimes because the guys always break up with me ,but its all worth just make me know even more they only wanted my body &looks but the men that waits for me will not only want my body but my soul too!(:
I cried literally when i saw this because this is the type of man im attempting to become.
I still bless the day my cousin introduced me to this piece. Changed my life in ways i cannot explain.
I love it. ... if more men step up and realize who they are and the power they have, then we wouldn't loose our young men to the streets.
i heard this a while back 3 years ago but i wasnt christian, i was just a believer of god but i was worshipping false gods....but i knew this m ade sense, and now i am christian and i see that god has been showing me signs all this time

This is a man of integrity. He takes responsibility for his wrongs even though he wasn't taught any better, and he admits he is not perfect, and that he needs God. Love him!

I am 27yrs old and I can say I'm still a child trying find his way. Unfortunately I have lost/ hurt many along the way, and I hope now that I realize my wrongs that I may be guided in the right direction. Not to be the perfect man but to be the man I was meant to truly be.

I'm an atheist but this poems beautiful =]. The way he rhymes the words and makes them sound as if he were singing. Describes his tribulations and triumphs. Great poem!

When a man can say he is a man for the first time - its so amazing! To stand tall like a man and smile like a man and love like a man. being a man of God is what men are made from.
I just never get enough of this video, each time that I watch it, I get goosebumps all over my body and tears in my eyes. I hope that one day, every single man will get to watch and be touched by this message. God is always doing great things.

No way? Phil Allen speaks at my church on a regular basis. I had no idea he did youtube stuff. This is great! Such a great pastor. He has made some of the best points in the bible that I have ever heard.

This really is the story of my life. This is my inspiration of my journey to becoming a man. My journey of breaking the chains of my sinful, childish ways, and transforming into the man of God that He created me to be.
Thank you brotha who spoke these words. Thank you for picking up the gospel and opening ur mouth to speak the very utterances of the Spirit. Thank you in a time where many women are hurt and discouraged at the lack of men willing to pick up the gospel in the way they relate to them. Men willing to kill their pride and sacrifice their very life to love and honor and cherish their sister, their own sister! Thank you for the reminder that God has to move on the heart of a man so he can hear.

I'm glad you found a better life in Christianity. I was starting to myself, until I read the bible and found out how much more mature I am to the god described in the bible by simply caring about my fellow people, regardless how they treat me. I personally don't believe there is a god, but I hold a belief that if I'm wrong, the god that exists is better than me, and thus, better than the god of the bible.
"Not power nor wisdom is given to those who seek the world and find pleasure in all that is on earth" you have just given me that thought now I know that becoming a man doesn't count the smarts of this world but to only pick up Gods gospel and spread it to the world and be proud of it too. Thanks I am speechless You know what I love about being a man and believing in Jesus Christ that secretly all men want this. I get hit over and over again by this worlds temptations,Lust,Lies when they can't break your Spirit they tempt you with there friendships they just hate it when you don't fall. They hate it if you say No while they all wish in there hearts that they to would have the guts to stand up and be counted.
I showed this to the teen boys in my youth and it sparked incredible conversations, thank you for these powerful words.
