Only Physics wallah platform is quite honest. It delivers more than it promises. Alakh Pandey is very sincere and honest. Byju and Unacademy are vultures. Please do more videos on the coaching industry. Few people have done it sincerely.
I was also a sales executive in byjus. We were trained to ask very difficult questions to students and make the parents fool. Byjus is extremely toxic thats why I left it.
You won't believe but my dad still speaks to me about that incident everytime when I was not able to answer byju's executive questions. Even today in neet 2021 I scored a rank of 1k Rank of 2.5k in Jee advanced Rank of 2k in mains Still my father thinks I cannot do anything in life because I wasn't able to answer byju's executive questions.
@@unknown-uj7wd Oh my goodness that's a bit saddening to hear. I don't know if what you said is entirely true, but yes, no doubt you are a wonderful human. Stay affirmative. And hey, give me some tips as well hehe 🌻🙂
Thanks for featuring our interview with Pradeep here Mohak! The more people that know about such issues, the better Indian society (and by extension, India's entire startup ecosystem) will be. -Caleb
Writing this anonymously. My byjus experience. I was in class 6 when we first received a call from them. Even after telling them constantly that we don't want thier product they came for a councelling session. In that councelling session they asked me questions like how Mohak explained. They questions were about some algebra problems and some surface area problem. I managed to get 9 out of 10 questions correct. Then the sales executive asked me some questions that were made by him and oh boy those were really hard. It included circles some concepts of electricity etc. He also asked about the Pythagoras theorem something that I got introduced in grade 7. When obviously when I was not able to answer that he started telling how the other kids are doing these questions with more accuracy and efficiency. Like a typical conservative orthodox uncle he was he started to tell how it's important so that I do something in life. I replied I wanted to be an archaeologist he mocked and said they stay hungry, u would only get money in either engineering or medical to live a comfy life. That moment I had my uncle at our place and he replied that " Yeah beta u have to do something productive or you would end up like him selling and brainwashing people into getting some app to pay for your food"( He's a lawyer btw😆). This reply was something he was waiting for too long. He left the house immediately. Those gimmicks need people like my uncle to teach them a nice lesson and reply to them properly. ✌️
If Engineering and Medical were the only options to live a comfy life then the hell was he teaching in byjus instead of being and engineer or a doctor 🙄. Kuch bhi!
Exactly my story....my parents got the 6-10 subscription from byjus in 2018 nd personally if u ask me it didn't help much at all, it was all a waste in my opinion....you can easily get those notes and videos and better explanation when you search up online instead
I left Byju's 2 months back after working there for 9 months. I didn't like the way they wanted us to force and trick parents into buying. Everything you said was 100% true respect you for saying it out so boldly
Indians want everything in free. Parents ki jal rahi hai kyunke Byju's ke product sahi me useful hain aur inhe free me chahiye. You will not get it free. Some foreign company will buy them up if you make too much fuss and you'll have to pay them more! The teachers who make the content will get salaries instead of owning profit
Every single thing told in the video is true. I am an ex Byjus employee and my sole reason behind leaving the job was these unethical practices and toxic work culture.
I still don't get how illogical the Indian population must be to be convinced by a sales executive to spend lakhs of rupees, the sales guys literally just make a bunch of deceitful statements and somehow all parents agree. Honestly, byju's videos are too shallow, and although the animations help a bit, I firmly believe it's a lot better for a student to visualize in their unique manner, as that's what comes naturally to them. Throwing in images that are meant to depict a concept can sometimes be helpful, but is mostly misleading.
hello sir! I am a class 9 student. this also happened to me once. When i bought my new phone, in that byjus was already installed. I started using that app for my skills. One day, they called at my house and suggested to take Scholarship test. I also took that one. And after some days, they turned up at my house, with a councellor. He also asked these type of questions, a tricky which requires a lot of time. When i asked time to solve these questions, they said- "Bhai, itna vakt nahi milta competitive exams mein." They also said the same things regarding refunding, packages and all that sh*t. But I refused their package. Now, I think that was my best decision. And I also support Physics Wallah. He is the game changer. He will change our education system.
As an ex-employee of BYJUS, I can assure you that every single word he said is true. I dread every single moment I spent at that company. People with even bare minimum ethics can't survive there.
My sister's friend also left BYJUS IN just 1 day....bcz The executive said many things to her which was actually a scam for ppl...and she didn't want to scam so she left it And TRUTH IS that every educational app is a SCAM AND money wasting...even I myself took a course from EXTRAMARKS and now they don't even respond me...so I AM not able to attend Live classes...these all are scam...its better to Treat child physically not practically
I am Atheist as the op said improving a few things but promoting a lot of subpar content is what the byju's are known for and yes I have studied from their content and also from the freely available content from TH-cam and Khan academy ..quality doesn't even come close for the comparison..if you are satisfied with the low quality then of course you have that mentality of "what more do Indians want" and it is when free non profit platforms are giving much better.
i am a student of byjus . honestly youtube videos are far better than byjus online classes . my parents paid 1 lakh for 11 th and 12th . we still regret taking byjus they said that u can cancel ur product at any time but once u started paying installments there is no way out from there . after calling them several times they will not do anything . its totally trash please don"t fall into their trap i am from a lower middle class family my parents took a loan for it . save ur parents sweat and money
Same it's also happens to me... They said that u can cancel subscription whenever you want ...but it's totally scam . They refused to accepting the truth and said we have to paid all emi whole 2 year . That's the worst decision ever.
@@apurva6815 no I am in FIITJEE but they are equally bad... I wanted a refund but still I am struggling to get it... don't know when they will return my money...
I signed up for Byjus during the pandemic for the free classes. However I didn't end up using it much because our colleges opened and Online classes began. A Byjus executive ended up calling us and started droning on and on about how I should take their course and blah blah. They wanted to come to my house for "counseling" and when I declined they tried to pressure me into accepting. I also told them that I wasn't available due to us going to the hospital because of my dad's Health. On hearing they tried to prod about my dad's medical history (even after telling them multiple times that I was uncomfortable sharing that and wanted it to remain private) And tried to emotionally manipulate me by saying how my ill father would love to see his daughter succeed and all that. I hung up and blocked their numbers but god it still makes me angry and how much invasive and manipulative these people can be.
Well, i am from a middle class family and my parents did not look me that what i am studying and what not so another byjus salesman come vomiting his shit in front of my parents and my parents agreed. I watch their videos as well but it doesn't work on me so i tell my parents to cancel the subscription and get back the money... After making 100s of call but no answer so have to go complain the consumer rights MOC... Within 3 days my money got back and then after everday me my mom and dad gets calls come from unknown phone numbers and they speaking cuss words like "maa ch*d dunga" "Bhen ch*d dunga" We at least gets 20-25 calls from them its like they wants us to do suicide but then we changed our phone numbers and now everything is fine.
I remember Meritnation employees visiting our society and making us buy packages when I was in 9th (2014-15) but they weren't as irritating as these guys. Also I remember the course wasn't very expensive.
Exactly the same thing happened with me but they were from extramarks and god they were so annoying literally harrassed me to accept their offer but I didn't, reported and blocked the number i hope strict action gets taken against these so called "salesperson" harrassing and asking personal details and especially from a minor is a crime
@@tzuwee-d6244 the problem is not with the salesman but the managers above them. These salespersons are more tensed of losing the job. You can see these chats and call recordings on puneet poonia sir's channel.
Hey, please don't take that to heart. This is an example of how problematic our society can be in terms of interest and talents of youth. So you do you, hope you succeed!
There's no problem in taking commerece or humanities. I got 98.3% in class 10 boards (2016-17) and currently, I am pursuing law. I took humanities. I don't regret it. My parents don't care ki "Sharma ji ke larke ne to Science li aur Btech kar rha hai" and neither should you, or your parents feel bad about it ever
It’s true. I’m an icse student and Biju’s didn’t have icse in 2020 but the lady scammed us saying that they did and when I opened the app it was full of cbse portion
Byju's could not convince me!! I am proud to say my son is studying Humanities! He is very smart. All smart children do not study science. I am not that "typical Indian parent" who thinks without science life would come to a stand still.
Wow !! This is so nice of you miss !! As a humanities students myself (in 12th) it really warns my heart that many parents nowadays are considering streams other than science or are letting their kids choose their own interests
I live with my cousin who was in 10th standard at that time. One day a guy and a girl showed up from the byjus and talked to me about how he's such a brilliant boy(which he indeed is) and how they could help him crack IIT. I sensed the scam and upfront called them NO, to which they even said that the outside world is brutal and my cousin won't be able to compete without their help. I guess they were wrong because my cousin has already cleared the NDA exam and soon he'll be an officer in Indian army.
I can stand for this myself being a byjus user. I was a neet repeater student and needed just a platform which would help me with the tests. At that time byjus always used to call regarding their "offers" to my dad so we decided to consult them once(they had tied up with aakash and note I was already in aakash for neet prep). Fast forward they took adv of the situation and time crisis and convinced everyone so now I ended up paying for books which I already had(they said these were different compact books but they were the same) a tab and video lectures. Best part what we wanted was the test series and till this date I haven't got a single test. The sales executive convinced us that we are offering this at the best rate ie 60k for you otherwise actual price is double. Once you pay up the amount you they disappear in thin air. In short SCAM
As an ex Byjus sales executive. I can tell you the video is 100% on point. Glad I quit in good time. At the same time BYJU might not be the answer for equal education but there many quality TH-cam channels offering that level of quality of free. Like Amman Dhattarwal is a good example.
Hii guys I was an employee of Byjus worked at Headquarter of Byjus at Banglore.. I know the working culture is very toxic they will give you higher packages but also they will ask you to play with the emotions of the peoples of india. Due to financial issue I worked there but when I realised about that I left the job. there is no reply from the company to the People who calls the custoner care for cancellation of the course first they will demotivate you and your child to buy the course then number of parents who have monthly income of 2000 5000 are forced to buy course of 50000 and pay monthly emi as 5k to 6k a month Thry will take all your adhar card pan card and then ask to verify everything so that they will get incentives for that.. byjus will only call you before selling and after selling thr course there is no reply from the company I request you to please Don't waste the money by buying the course rather than this give 1 hr to your child daily that will help to grow your child

Most of my friends who went for science especially neet and jee are depressed af. They just regret it. Don't know why people still think only science can get you success
There is another solution too, if parents stop pressurising their children for opting science or commerce only. Parents should believe their children more then some multi millionaire companies. So half of the sales of byjus will end.
Byju's is a double edged toxic sword, at one side it cuts throat of parents with their scam plans and on another side they cut throats of their employees.
I worked there as a BDA all these are damn true, employees don't do these on there own , they are forced to do these, which is not exactly scam but unethical. And employees also go through a hellish work life in Byju's. Its only the light you see, you don't see the darkness under it. I just worked for 1 month and took oath that I'd sit unemployed but won't go back to sales sector ever again. And I also felt deeply apologetic to the students I talked to. Byju Ravindran is also not a hero of entrepreneurship but an evil of it. He and his team is misusing the law and freedom of speech like a tyrant.
We need to support people like pradeep punia who has been legally fighting these giants since so long.We need to support him socially thats the least we can do..make him a person who is widely known so that his voice can reach every other parent who could be saved from duping by these edtech gaints in the future.
I almost scored 87 percent in my ssc examination this year And i am going to take Humanities to studyyyy political science and Law And my parents are very Happy that i am taking humanities Not all childrens have to take science 🧪 just because they got good grades Thank u so much mohak for these types of video keep going ahead ❤
Byjus not only targets parents and their insecurities, they also target average or below average graduates and freshers as their potential employees. One of my friend recently joined Bjyus as a sales executive because he couldn't get a job anywhere else and he speaks in the exact same manner as Mohak talked about in this video.
@@theanimarium9612 Allen sales executive are much better, I can truly tell that from my experience. They call 1-2 times, don't spam. They tell about their course, achievements etc. then tell what you ask, basically avoiding unnecessary talks and over pressuring.
Dude I'm so glad you made this. I went for a job interview at BYJU's a few years ago as a music composer/sound designer for their games. Right from the ridiculous first task they assigned me, I knew they would overwork me like hell. They asked me to recreate the entire Harry Potter orchestral theme, note for note within a matter of hours and that was just one of 3 tasks to do for that day. An orchestral piece of that size takes days to make properly. They're insane. I didn't even respond to that email and just sent it to my spam folder.
🤣🤣 I'm so glad you avoided them... that clearly shows they've no idea about how much efforts are needed for a task. They just give a deadline which they themselves have no idea about how irrelevant it is lol
After reading all the comments i want to tell about my experience too. So this historic moment happened when i was in 6th grade. I was going to my tution and as soon as I stepped out side of my house i saw my dad and some tall guy talking . My dad called me and introduced that guy as an interviewer from byju's and that he will take my interview . Soo i answered like 6,7 question and he said others ( who had taken byju's course) could answer better . Somehow he convinced my parents to take that( shitty) course. I completed that course in 3 years but their ( shitty important) calls never stopped. In March 22 , they called again and took a video conference with us just to convince us to take another course for like 3-4 years . I said i need some time . After some time they called again but i had made up my mind that i won't take any courses so i rejected their offer and that guy just started yelling loudly on the call i i was like broo wtf why soo hyper when i said i don't wan it then i don't . I gave the call to my father and he told him strictly that we don't need that course. Mann that was just some shitty experience and today too their calls just don't stop. recently someone from byju's called and he took my sister's name, class on the call and i was shocked ! Like how do they know all this! Mann there are such good free courses out there then why should i waste my time and money on this like whattt!!?? . Now I'm in 9th grade and ive topped my class in PA -1 and PA -2 , just waiting for the PA- 3 results😀😀 . Edit: The only good thing they did was the tablet they gave us from which I'm typing this shit!😂😂
Video got uploaded 12 minutes ago, your comment is of 12 minutes ago, the title says "what is wrong with Byju's" now I know Byju's suck but wtf are you confirming
Being a former BDA in BYJUS , I can say that every word spoken by Mohak is true and honest. Things went so low for me that I had to abscond rather than having a proper resignation.

When I was in 11th , byjus persuaded me to arrange an online meet with them . My mom and dad had to sit beside me . They asked some easy questions at the beginning and then levelled up. When they asked a difficult question, my mom and dad got worried about me not being able to answer it . I just told them that I opted bio not maths for a reason and left. The terminology you pointed was sooo accurate. Later , I ended up joining physics wallah for barely 3500 rupees , and they don't have animations and all that but still the explanation is top notch
That is so not true. Some kids are creative. That doesn't mean all kids who aren't academically good, automatically becomes creative instead. Creativity is just as rare as academic brilliance. Most of us are just average. Realising that is very important in parents.
When I was in 9th class in 2012.. my tuition teacher misguided me.. I wanted to go to AIIMS and later become neurosurgeon. But she said "Arey Abhi toh app bohot piche ho, itna competition h, aap toh aese bol rhe ho ki bohot easy ho" that demotivated as hell.. In entire 10th I carried negative mindset.. In 11th I went to Kota..but I thought I am already behind competition.. I returned from Kota ... I ruined my life. 😥
As someone who was roped into buying and using Byjus for my 10th, 11th and 12th, I can safely say that they don't present what they promise. What was the main point that they marketed as the uniqueness of Byjus? It was the classes with great animations models and stuff... So, each chapter was divided into modules. The introduction module would always have the great animation that they were talking about. But as we go through the chapter, there is little to no animation... It would just be a teacher talking in front of a camera. Sure there were some interesting classes, but you would expect more when you pay so much. As a student, i would comment that the classes were boring, even more so than the ones from school. One thing I'd like to add here is that, to solidify a concept, you need to do questions. Byjus has an endless amount of videos and very easy questions between the videos... There would be a question solving video at the end of a chapter, but for that, they just jumped to really advanced level questions, that I usually could never comprehend because I hadn't built an understanding of the concept through basic or intermediate level questions... All in all, it was pretty useless when it came to my boards and other exams. Now, my term is over and i don't have access to the classes that were stored in the sd card. That's okay, but I payed for the cards too, right? And I vividly remember the sales executive saying that the card would be reusable after the study term. But turns out, they're not usable again. And I have called many times and i still can't get through to their tech support. Now, about their sales pitch, it's laudable... When they first called me(on the number they got through the app) i was just a kid, i didn't know much so I didn't really get what they were talking about. So I gave them my mom's no. They were being so persuasive that my mom found it hard to refuse. So she gave them my dad's number and let my dad know that he was tasked with refusing them. Idk how, but they managed to convince him too, which was a near impossible feat... The very next day, the sales executive gets on a car for about three hours and comes to our house to make the pitch... It was mostly just the sincerity of the sales executive that made us buy the app, more than what it had to offer... So this is my Byjus story... The customer service and their credibility looks great at first, up until you finish paying... Then it just dwindled to nothing... My take on Byjus is that it's all about just surface appearances...
Took u long time 🤣 Mera sath ye scam 9th me hua literally maine us app se 4 din pada aur phir bad me phire yt se padne lga !! 😞 abhi bhi mujhe feel hota hai ki apne parents ke paise bar baad kiya but but buttttttt i got 89% 🙂 with yt 😂
In summer 2022, we took a course which included a tablet. They said they will refund if we needed. The tablet came and I started taking classes but my parents noticed that I was not as productive as I would be in a tuition center. They saw that the classes were repetitive and revolved around one thing only. They tried to get refund but no one answered. My parents called them for 2 months and they always said, "Don't worry sir, we will call you between blah-blah time. Just pick up the call and answer." But the call never came. So, my parents went to bank, stopped the EMI and complained but got no response. I suffered and had losses, frequent losses in school studies. I stopped doing classes and focused in school, topped the classes and I still top now between 95% - 97%. Oh yeah, we got the Tablet for free cuz they didn't took it. YEAHH! FREE TABLET BOY!!
I used to work as a associate content developer at Byjus. It just runs on marketing. No content, nothing. Since they couldn't help students clear JEE and other entrance exams, they started tying up with some institutes in Kota and finally made a deal with Aakash. My brother is preparing for neet and he said same that physics wallah is far better than byjus... ah I've seen alakh sir and the way he teaches is just wow
PW is the best 🙏 taking into consideration the amount, they provide quality education for. Some silly and cartoonish animations will not make learning great.
Byju as a person is a great teacher. A lot of my friends went to his CAT coaching classes when he started. He was a math wizard. People who were not so good at math were also able to crack CAT and join IIMs through his classes. But when it became a corporate , they have stakeholders to answer to and involved in all the hostile sales strategies. At the end of the day they are losing 15 crores a day.

1:39 He tried the same thing with me. He asked me proof of the area of a circle when I was in 9th class. I said that we have to cut the circle in tiny pizza shaped triangles and arrange them as a parallelogram and then assume it as a rectangle, then find the area of the rectangle. He gave a disappointed face towards me, he said that this is not the method. He said we have to cut the circle into infinite rings and arrange them as a triangle and find the area. He said that we are supposed to know this concept in 6&7th grades and that I am lagging a lot behind. He said that I need byjus as this will help me cope up with it. I and my father said that we will think about that. Later I showed my father how both methods give the same and correct results. We ignored calls from them
I got the same call lol - I knew the pizza thing (I had seen it somewhere), but I didn't tell it on call that I had known. I already watched mathologer, Standupmaths, Kurzesagt, etc and their chain of science youtube channels. I convinced my parents that BYJUs is bullshit. Free Science videos on YT teach better.
Yeah sure.... How is cutting the circle into infinite rings easier? Lol the pizza triangle method is literally practically doable, but not the infinite rings one.

To all the parents who gets easily manipulated by the words of salesmen. Believe in your child he/she will not let you down if you believe in him/her rather than being paranoid about their future.

My father was called by Byju's this year while I was giving my pre-boards. They asked him to take a councelling session. In the councelling they asked me a few questions(exactly the way in this vid), first they asked me some basic questions and then levelled it up to certain high level questions. I answered them all but took time in answering a few. The guy who was taking the interview took this as an opportunity and told my father that if he wants to crack jee he HAS to solve these simple questions in less than 45 secs. Then he came down to his real motive, to get me enrolled. He forced my father to get me enrolled in that course within an hour or the course prices would double! My father took some time, talked to me and since I had heard only the positive side of Byju's, I agreed. And THAT very moment, my friends, spoiled 6 months of my 11th class.
'counselling' is what they called their sales pitch to my parents. Both of my cousins have premium still they went for tuitions and had average marks but my friend who had the premium did very well in studies. I guess its upto the student how they choose to use the tools they have on their hand
Not preaching anything but , Internet has really some great resources for learning, free and good quality, only problem is it is disorganised. In the long run self learning always beats tutoring. No one as an achiever in the history has been great due to the efforts of mentor rather their inner curiosity and enthusiasm for a subject brought them glory. Newton , Tesla, Edison, da Vinci , Faraday , Galileo , Picasso and the list goes on ....
When I was in 10th, then Byju's called my parents to purchase a subscription. They said that I will get amazing marks but I was like: Nah, I'm totally satisfied with my studies. Without that subscription, I got 91% in 10th. I would have got more but my English betrayed me🙂
I agree with you, kids should go to school learn and make friends. But such digital education do not allow to make friends. I pity for those parents who got trap in Byjus scam even though they are educated parents still they do not understand the this Scam as it is taking everything away from kids..
1:13 seriously bro the salesmen asked me the same question of fractions, so when I was unable to answer the question then he told me father that he has not learned a single thing in school, he also said that if I didn't buy the course, then i will surely fail the exams, so after 1 hours of brainwashing my father was convinced to buy the product.but their product didn't do any good either, definitely it was not worth the hard-earned money of my father..... So here i am watching this video and writing this comment with the tablet they gave me 🙂
I gave an interview for the Sales opening at Byju's. The interview wasn't a usual interview where in they talk about what skill I posses rather they were interested to know if I could do long hours at work without additional pay, they told me it's not a job for someone who doesn't know how to lie now to be clear this was a very indirect conversation but their intentions were quite clear from the beginning of the interview. And by the end of the interview I was pretty clear that this isn't something I want to be part of irrespective of how much money they were offering which was a lot considering I was a fresher with no prior sales experience. I said NO! DON'T FALL FOR THIS TRAP!
Same. They had called me up for an interview @ their office in Marol Naka, Mumbai. The interviewees were all well dressed and suited up, I imagined that I may be the only non MBA guy for this vacancy, lol. The interviewer literally asked me thaf if you were given a pen without a refill inside, how would you convince the customers? I actually wanted the job bcs I was desperate at that point (no prior sales experience) and told her very naively that it has no value for the customer why would I sell such a thing to anyone?! Lastly she asked what all languages I knew. Never heard from them again. TLDR: Byjus courses might as well be just like "a pen without a refill inside"

I had a worse experience in a mall with byju's executive, I'm 25 with a bit of hair loss. So she just came across and asked "can I have a minute to talk to you about byju's app for your kids" 😂. I just freaked out, had my whole day ruined on how she judged me on having kids based on my baldness 😅
They tried to convince me a lot and I was like let's see how well you're trained. They asked me how I liked their app. My answer was I didn't like it at all😆 Then they said this was because I was using it for free they told me about the paid course, I told them that I was using Khan Academy and that they're the best in the world. Then they asked me whether I would opt for Neet ot Jee, I replied SAT. They tried a lot and I countered the questions. At the end the person just said that she never came across such a student who is not following the conventional way and I replied isn't it good to be unique 🤣
I am 30 years old. Here's my academic story: I scored 83% in 10th. I knew I was weak in Maths and did not pursue Science. I took up Commerce and realised that was not a piece of cake either. It had the same Maths as science students. Same integration and differentiation. Same trig. I cleared 12th with 90% and did B Com. I saw then that many of my classmates were preparing for CA. Going for coaching and then rushing to college. Studying for CA really took a toll on a lot of my acquaintances. I completed B Com, then worked for a couple of years as a tech writer and did an MBA. Today, I work in a fintech company, doing what I love the most - writing. Maybe I should have taken up arts and studied BA English... However, I like it that MBA gave me new tools and thought process. I met a lot of interesting folks, read a lot of case studies on brands. It gave me a new perspective. Point of this long story is, no stream is 'faltu'. Each subject contributes to the development of your mind. Respect education.
I am not here for an argument but my story is similar to yours, the only difference being that I did take English literature after leaving science in 12th. The jobs are so scarce that its unbelievable. The obsession with science is bad but my friends from science background have been earning from 4 years while I still prepare for exams.
I agree. When you study from a teacher there are great chances that the mistakes of the teacher will be propagated to you. Only a few, there are teachers, who really really understand things well. Most of them have loopholes in their understanding, which will also be transferred to you if you primarily study from a teacher. Picking up a good text book for a subject and then studying on your own will take time, but will surely make you understand things better than a teacher can (Exceptions do exist)
There's nothing wrong of it becoming a business until the businessmen involved in it are serious about their job, focus on providing quality education to their students.A good examples is Physics wallah, he is also into ed tech and is making huge money but providing quality education at a minimal price to his students.
My friend's a BDA at Byjus, they target mostly people with low income like auto drivers, cabbies. They create fear of their child's future and lure the parents into buying the subscription. They don't even care if the parents have money or not, they simply want you to pay for subscription. even highly educated parents are being scammed by these BDAs and That's pathetic.
Yes, brother. My friend who himself is a graduate from a local college pretends to be an IITan while doing a pitch to his clients. These kind of platforms will rise as long as indian parents are greedy and insecure. Tell me what difference does it make between 95 and 99 percentage for which parents are hungry.
@@ajithkumar8118 Sabhi parents ko apne bacchon ko topper bana k society mein flex jo marna hai🙃 .Issliye unko 95 aur 99 mein bhot bada difference dikh raha hai. Indian education system was already toxic, byjus is just exploiting it and making billions out of it.
My parents bought byjus for me for 95k and I don't even use it very often because YT has such great teachers. And man did the sales executive bore the heck out of me, he literally was talking non stop for 2:30 hrs in my house.
education as a business, is always a scam. what is the product? how can u claim to put knowledge and skills into a persons brain? how can it be a ur product/service? the idea of education as a business is absurd!
Yes, nowadays the entire education system is a scam. It only focuses for an academic degree not knowledge. It is just narrowing our mind and thoughts which is completely opposite to the definition of education.
step 1 to change the education system- educate parents(i don't just mean literacy and degrees, education has many aspects and one of them is being understanding of other people's thoughts
Shouldn’t that education happen prior to people already donning the mantle of parenthood? Need we wait for men and women to turn parents, potentially screw up and then learn the basics of Decent Parenthood 101? In other words, one needs to be qualified to drive a car on the street, to teach, to do anything, then why not have a qualification for electing to be a parent? Well, for one, legally restricting parenthood would be tantamount to legally restricting sex. And second, the whole concern of state-driven corruption, eugenics and inequalities crops up. Even so, the idea can be pushed forth in a more voluntary way, by way of encouraging prospective or potential parents to enlist for a course on training much like students have Lab training or internship projects.
One of my friends who was a former BYJU's associate informed me how their daily schedules & targets were, how she felt bad after having tricked hundreds of people into buying their product and how toxic the culture was over there... This video needs to reach out to every Indian out there by informing them how their own countrymen are scamming them!
I remember when I was 9-10 maybe (I'm 13 now) when my parents downloaded Byju's for my education and then these sales people came to our house and gave me some questions. They then advertised their subscription, but it cost too much and my parents refused. 3 years later I realized we BARELY missed the scam.

When i asked time to solve these questions, they said- "Bhai, itna vakt nahi milta competitive exams mein."
They also said the same things regarding refunding, packages and all that sh*t.

If your child is not belonging to top 10 means he/she is more creative than others so concentrate on that side only
That is so not true. Some kids are creative. That doesn't mean all kids who aren't academically good, automatically becomes creative instead.
Creativity is just as rare as academic brilliance. Most of us are just average.
Realising that is very important in parents.
not necessarily, but yeah i agree

Fact that private schools, coaching centers and ed tech companies dominate education sector shows us how well made out education system is.
Almost Same bro
Vedantu is far far better than it

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR STRANGER ....
I am 30 years old. Here's my academic story:
I scored 83% in 10th.
This is correct.
I am just curious to know after studying a lot your job is writing as you said, what kind of things you have to write ?
I am not here for an argument but my story is similar to yours, the only difference being that I did take English literature after leaving science in 12th. The jobs are so scarce that its unbelievable. The obsession with science is bad but my friends from science background have been earning from 4 years while I still prepare for exams.
True
Good point 👍
Self study is the only way of study baki sab toh formalities hai.
Exactly!
Self study is important but what about practical knowledge needed in jobs
Agreed 💯
Idiocy if u do only self study
Nowadays education has become a business. Sad but it's true.
It always has been
There's nothing wrong of it becoming a business until the businessmen involved in it are serious about their job, focus on providing quality education to their students.A good examples is Physics wallah, he is also into ed tech and is making huge money but providing quality education at a minimal price to his students.

If someone spoke to me about my child that way, I would not think twice before breaking their nose.
Those BDA's are too pressurized by their bosses to complete the target, they don't have any option.

Indian education system was already toxic, byjus is just exploiting it and making billions out of it.

Moral of the story:- Never trust Byju's💯
Byju's just one in many scams based on individuals insecurities. The world is filled with them.
Moral- never trust anyone when there is money involved.
Never ever trust them they all are scammers.

My parents bought byjus for me for 95k and I don't even use it very often because YT has such great teachers.
And man did the sales executive bore the heck out of me, he literally was talking non stop for 2:30 hrs in my house.
Him: Byju's is a scam.
Me: So is the entire education system.
So true
education as a business, is always a scam. what is the product? how can u claim to put knowledge and skills into a persons brain? how can it be a ur product/service? the idea of education as a business is absurd!
Yes, nowadays the entire education system is a scam. It only focuses for an academic degree not knowledge. It is just narrowing our mind and thoughts which is completely opposite to the definition of education.
Education system isn't a scam.
It is just most people don't work hard and blame the system. Yeah it has flaws but it isn't a SCAM.
😂 yes
step 1 to change the education system- educate parents(i don't just mean literacy and degrees, education has many aspects and one of them is being understanding of other people's thoughts
Won't happen until we have a ruling capitalist party
Intelligence which indians terribly lack
True 🥺
@@debapriyosaurav1589 how capitalism is affecting it ?
One of my friends who was a former BYJU's associate informed me how their daily schedules & targets were, how she felt bad after having tricked hundreds of people into buying their product and how toxic the culture was over there... This video needs to reach out to every Indian out there by informing them how their own countrymen are scamming them!
I remember when I was 9-10 maybe (I'm 13 now) when my parents downloaded Byju's for my education and then these sales people came to our house and gave me some questions. They then advertised their subscription, but it cost too much and my parents refused. 3 years later I realized we BARELY missed the scam.
