- Why I am no longer directing church productions like this! It has been a tough decision, but after much prayer and thought, I believe it's what God is calling me to do.

While I believe that the Cinematic Broadcast style is effective for many churches, I believe that there is always room for improvement and growth. We should always strive to push ourselves creatively and find new ways to connect people with God. One way to do this could be through the use of XR, AR, or 360 video. While I don't know for certain if I will personally use these techniques, I am open to exploring and trying new things in the pursuit of bringing people closer to the Father.

I feel like audio immersion tech is maybe closer than video immersion. Should we be looking into more spatial audio tech possibly first? There are some interesting vids on YT with 360 cams and audio, some big dolby ventures at tomorrowland. It''s a curious thing, but hear I am just trying to get my two roaming cam ops to keep focus LOL!
Haha! Yeah the biggest challenge will be how to do it and keep the main thing the main thing. I want to push the envelope but also be sensitive to the Holy Spirit. IDK how far I'll get with this in 2023 but I'm at least starting on this path lol. As far as immersive audio goes come and see us around easter 😉

If I'm thinking about what it's like to be there in person, I wonder if there is some sort of visual equivalent to binaural microphones. Would you capture the floor or cut it dark when the pastor invites people to pray? (as many people bow their heads or close their eyes). Would there be less use of really wide shots or jibs? (I'm not flying around the room or doing a spiderman hang in the corner of the wall and ceiling when I'm there in person). Interested in seeing what you do this year!
