I'm sewing a denim skirt and pear of slacks. Im then working on a few non-print blouses to go with print skirts and slacks I have in my wardrobe. After that, some jackets and cardigans to layer over my short sleeve blouses. I live in Florida, so that should take me through the winter
Lol! I used to walk through some of my daughter’s fav teenage chain stores and make comments about quality! They grew up having an appreciation for quality just as your daughter’s have now! I just Iove natural fibers for any season! The bag is interesting. I have tons of patterns but I love looking at the free patterns as well. Love dresses and blazers!

The Tiana’s closet dress whilst not being my style is reversible which is something I really do like in a garment and have been pondering using a really loose fitting trouser pattern for a jumpsuit so it can be worn either way. I’ve been making a lot of dungarees and jumpsuits lately and just hacked a ‘sailor’ trouser pattern with the flap at the front that becomes the bib, it’s been a Labour of love because I obviously had no instructions but it’s worked! However, I’ll stick to the trousers version in future! My overlocker broke so I’ve had no option but to take my time finishing seams nicely which has been a discovery in that I’ve actually been unpicking a lot less so although it’s slower sewing, I’m enjoying it more and getting a higher quality garment as a result, who knew 🤣 A lot of people love autumn but for me it’s just the prelude to winter and I’m still having nightmares about the bitter cold and damp of last year because of the energy costs situation! Hoping and praying for a mild winter as compensation for a very cool, wet and windy summer which is the first I can remember when I’ve had to have an extra blanket on the bed at night 😮
Sounds like you’ve had some rewarding sewing challenges! I understand about fall only being the prelude to a cold winter- in Toronto it was so beautiful, though, it was worth it. ❤️
