Rear Window is a good movie all by itself, but the reason I've watched it multiple times is for Grace Kelly's wardrobe--I love everything she wears in that movie. I think High Society is a silly, corny, not-believable kind of movie---Bing Crosby and Frank Sinatra are both way too old for her----but, those khakie pants and blouse, paired with the red espadrilles and red bandana hankerchief Grace Kelly wears in the opening of the movie will stay with me forever as one of the greatest polished, yet casual, looks ever! I love the looks you've set up for this project---can't wait to see it put together!
If I'm completely honest, I love Grace Kelly's style but am not the biggest fan of her film work (I also can't watch High Society and I agree about the love interests---nothing holds a candle to Katharine Hepburn's Philadelphia Story!). Thanks for your lovely comment and for watching! :)
That is some wonderful inspiration. Thanks for the plan-along. It's going to be a stunning wardrobe. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Shame on me, I could only guess Meryl (love that photo of her!) and Elizabeth Montgomery! I should have been able to name Julie Andrews but from that photo I couldn't tell!
95% of the time I thrift them. The pajama pattern and coat pattern were both thrifted. The overall/pants pattern I bought on etsy from LadyMarlowePatterns. Thanks for watching!
