I’ve recently fell in love with the WOTS games recently with my discovery of the 4th title, and I’ve been loving the series and the rest of Acquire’s titles. I’d love to see a review of 3 and 4 at some point, love ya stuff dude 👍
I grew up on this series. Nothing really beats the heart of the first game but 3 comes damn close. Still one of my favorites next to the 1st one. I really hope we get a wots5 since I heard Acquire is coming back.
It's been almost a year since your Way of the Samurai 1 review but it's finally here. Thank you for covering these games since they don't get even a tiny fraction of the recognition they deserve. I really hope you get around to covering Way of the Samurai 3&4 as well as the spinoff Way of the Thief.
I had planned to cover the other two numbered games from the beginning. Just a lot on the plate right now so 3 and 4 will be a ways off. I do need to pick up Kamiwaza and Samurai Western though I don't know how far down the line they'll be.
Oh man, I am ALL about this channel and your content. What a great discovery as I was searching for an old favorite of mine. I would just add that as a few other commenters have said - longer form videos would 1). Be much appreciated and 2). Increase your visibility. Get it on the backlog!
I absolutely love the series & still have the memory of walking into Hollywood Video (a USA Blockbuster competitor now long gone) as a teenager and coming across it , being drawn to the art work on the cover (the first game) . I just recently realized that 1, 2 and 4 are my favorites. 3 is good, but its a bit more serious than the other games (to me, story wise). 4 is perfect fan-service to the ones that love it and is the best example of what the game is at it's peak. Fun fact, believe or not, the pc port of 4 is not so great, stick to console copy. In one of the paths in this game in particular, I totally took Kasumi's, "Inner woman". I couldn't possibly allow a woman with her virginity still intact to go onto the battlefield in the morning without fully bringing her to Womanhood LOL. If you want your good ol dose of Asian Cinema in a quirky video game with Japanese cheesy charm, then here it is! And the Sato ending is the best!
How long does one run approximately take you from start to finish? I think this game sounds cool, but time is a precious currency and this seems to be a game you're meant to replay to gain the most value from it. Are some paths longer than others?
You can finish the game if you are good in about 15 minutes? Just go to sleep until it forces you to fight the last battle on day 6, but they are well equipped.
Some paths take way longer yes, but they give unique swords that can't be obtained otherwise. Story isn't too deep and corny tbh, but that's the charm.
Ultimate ending probably like a hour the thug ending like he said 15 or 20 min probably i have the book w the guide to all endings but you can find it online too
I like your channel, but you really should make at least 20 min videos if you want the algo to pick you up. You showed up in my recommended so it's picking you up somewhat already

I remember that I helped Kasumi the first time I made it to the end. I wish they would remaster the first two (I have 3 and 4 on my PS3) and make 5.
PCXS2 and ROM time
Thanks alot, your review is the reason why I'm finally going to play this game, keep up the good work
1, 2, and 3 are masterpieces.
How many endings for WOTS2
Will you review the spin-off Samurai Western?
Eventually. I do want to physically own Samurai Western so I'll grab it prior to reviewing it.
