Talk about oil and water. I like both groups but totally different styles. The temps are about precision and smoothed out K-CI and Jo Jo are very good but gruff and have a street edge. But it worked. Its funny though to see K-CI go into his performance because he was feeling like he was at church and about to go like he does in concert but had to hold back some. Definately worth seeing.
As good as it was...I would have loved to see Dennis going toe to toe with KC....Dennis would have REALLY gone to church with them. Bo was good but Dennis would have preached on them. Bo Henderson and Theo Peoples voices are similar. Only difference is Theo's voice is more powerful than Bo's. Outside of that, you wouldn't be able to tell the difference
if theo peoples was on there it was been even more sick, even though bo sounds like him a lot but theo would have really crushed it the same tone wit much much more power

David has said that Dennis has the "go to church" type of voice and trust me Dennis would not have only hung with KC but took him to the woodshed. Dennis was right up there with Joe Ligon on the Mighty Clouds of Joy and that strength ain't no joke. Dennis could easily done everything KC did but his voice is stronger. Bo was alright here but he can't really hang with KC...not fo real real....but this is still a lot of soul right here. .
