These guys are super talented. Charlie Wilson dropped some real knowledge on them, too. It gave them a lot to think about. I think they should keep in touch with him, because he can really be a life coach for them. He has first hand experience with addiction and how to change.

But even with the health sacrifices they've suffered, these brothers have done well, and like BB, they are survivors.

Broke my heart a few years back when I went to see them performing with Joe in the UK, for valentines. They were with the rest of the group, Jodeci; and they were all over the place. Absolute shambles, it was such a contrast from seeing the group perform when I was a kid back in 1995. Saying all that to simply say... It's funny, showbiz can give the impression that gifted people like this wear halos 24/7, when they are just as human as anybody else with all the potential for dysfunction that we all risk falling into; it's just that they've come with a package of insane talent, honed by hard work, that most people can only dream of. I idolized these guys when they first started making it big, and to this day love their music. Their music helped me through some early 20's insecurity, by giving me hours of happiness. Watching them perform, they making singing look so easy. So glad they've still got the vocal magic; still gives me goosebumps to hear.

Every time I watch these episodes, I feel the same pride and excitement, over and over. Recovery and renewal is definitely a long process. Relapses happen. Challenges can seem endless. But even with the health sacrifices they've suffered, these brothers have done well, and like BB, they are survivors.

I so hope they manage to maintain this healthier approach to their lifestyles. Won't lie, it did hurt to see them looking such a mess.... and moreover sounding a mess. Broke my heart a few years back when I went to see them performing with Joe in the UK, for valentines. They were with the rest of the group, Jodeci; and they were all over the place. Absolute shambles, it was such a contrast from seeing the group perform when I was a kid back in 1995. Saying all that to simply say... I'm proud of them, long may it last, so they can get back to doing what they do best xx

It's funny, showbiz can give the impression that gifted people like this wear halos 24/7, when they are just as human as anybody else with all the potential for dysfunction that we all risk falling into; it's just that they've come with a package of insane talent, honed by hard work, that most people can only dream of. I idolized these guys when they first started making it big, and to this day love their music. Their music helped me through some early 20's insecurity, by giving me hours of happiness. Watching them perform, they making singing look so easy. So glad they've still got the vocal magic; still gives me goosebumps to hear.
