Sounds like a relay sticking with the addition of a glitch in the programming of the board, for it to throw off binary something glitches bad , great video I love your stuff, you and Chris from HVACR videos make some really good content

Has it happened again? I have a machine with a new board (less than 1 year) that does the same thing. It says it's freezing but the compressor is off and the water system is on. It makes good ice until it randomly glitches.
I had one acting up about a year ago after a different company changed the board. When I checked to see what software it was running, all I got was gibberish. So I shut the power off and restarted the unit, and I still had gibberish for software. I also found no model or serial numbers on the board. I had to manually enter the M&S#s and update the software and then had no more problems. Makes you yearn for the old B series😉

My tech guy came by and measure the pressure and recommended replacing compressor ? We can’t afford that right now. Last time I did cleaning and reset then it worked. Summer time maybe ? Most problems are water-related, make sure your water filter is clean and got at least 20 to 30 lb of pressure and make sure your coils are clean and that you ran cleaner through the machine the way it's describes. After that it's hard to say without seeing it.
Kinda packed? Holy crap that was packed. Dirty condenser. That board had issues. I wonder if the that condenser fan motor Isnt working as well from the dirty condenser coil.
If it's a new machine it should be under warranty? I would have a service guy check it out. Sounds like a water level sensor may not be making good contact.
On a CME250AE-1A what would cause the water valve not to get power to it.I measured the resistance across the terminals and got .612 kohm is this normal? after I removed it from the ice maker
612 ohms sounds possibly normal? I don't have their charts in front of me. It could be as low as 30ohms?. I would put it in test mode and verify you've got the rated voltage going to the solenoid.
Those board always give problem had a problem like that in Barnes and noble band new board install 2 days later recall had to reorder board manufacturer defect

I know you walked into this after the fact, so not trying to knock you down, just my first impression seeing this vid for the first time and being a bit distracted at that.
Have learned a lot from you and Chris S...as well as Manitowoc annual training which I missed this year's Zoom version, but since I don't have that much time at my facility to dive into the ones we have was just dropping in to try and pick up a tidbit.
I don't remember, I run 4-6 calls a day so that's several jobs ago since I recorded this. We charge time and material for most jobs unless it's quoted.

So the other tech installed the board on a Friday......and didn't check anything else....ask him for a copy of his work order with all the pressures and times for 3 cycles....
In a perfect world lol. I did call him and he said everything worked fine at that time. What's interesting is we had to go back several times later for other things which were very suspicious. The water sensor kept falling down three times in a row every week to week and a half. Very weird . I would not put it past the employees to sabotage the machine.
I had a machine doing something like this once. It turned out it was voltage drops at the outlet where it was plugged in. Their POS machine would flicker as well..
Sounds like your at a Wendys. and yea, ive got a local wendys here thats constantly "out of ice". things that make you go hmmm especially after you mentioned they dont want to do anything to it, or proper maintenance.

Honestly they're pretty reliable normally. that's why I had a hard time accepting a brand new board taking a dump right after another board was replaced for whatever reason.? I'm not the one that replaced the other board.
Try going back Turn off condenser soo it will go off on high pressure If board does not read the error again U know what's up Ever heard of ghost codes They are real
I found a few things wrong later, one of the issues was someone else replace the board and diagnosed it. I came in second and can't fully explain without creating drama.

board busterz repairs the manitowoc control boards. Takes us 1 day and it's a much cheaper option. Keep us in mind!

I've got a brand new manitowoc ice machine and the pan over flows with water sometimes. Its level what else do I need to check

From the Manitowoc school. They have them at different supply houses go online and look and see where one is near you.

The relays the boards go wacky all the time. Especially on self contained
relays, made of the finest ROHS and new prone to fail contact materials! ( chinesium)

my machine at work doesn't make ice it's rare, it beeps we check everything and can't find the problem.
If it beeps it’s likely not a Manitowoc.

You're absolutely right, generally a coil that's been neglected will get so dirty that it really won't be internally embedded like you would think.
