Is features one of the most bloodiest shootouts in cinema it’s not your typical outlaw movie no it’s a movie that was the most violent one of 1969 people say it killed The Westin dream and at the time people were saying hey whatever happened to one of those John Wayne movies. If you want to take a look at it I would suggest that you watch the directors cut of 1969 the wild Bunch because it’s a great experience of a film
The black guy in the helicopter at the end is the actor who played the predator. He had asked the director if he could be in the movie without the predator make up, because he's didn't think his family wouldn't believe he was in a movie.
Sorry Shaun, you've got it all wrong about the girl speaking English. Of course they weren't surprised, they're veterans and probably have encountered that tactic a million times. They didn't ask why, of course, because it's an age-old tactic of letting your enemies think you don't understand them in hopes they speak some intel in your presence. And of course she would keep talking to them. She's banded with them now against a mutual threat.
The phenomenal thing about this movie is its complete turn-around. It IS an action movie, with the cliché scenes of explosions and guns, but then it turns those big buff one-dimensional badasses into the victims, becoming a horror. They even stray away from the things that a normal big action movie would have, such as the fight on the "bridge" with the tracker. It's no longer about action, it's just about survival.
The idea with the woman they take captive not speaking English at the beginning is she doesn’t want them to know because she wants to gather information without them knowing she can understand or so they can’t question her. Once she realises just how screwed they are and she needs them to survive, she lets them know she can speak English.
The only Predator sequel worth checking out is Predator 2. A competent sequel. Not as good as the first film but leaps and bounds better than any sequel that came after it.

If AvP counts as a Predator sequel, I'd say it's pretty entertaining. At least on par with Predator 2, and better than the later films. (Of course, AvP 2 is very bad.)
Here's the way I understood the girl suddenly speaking English. When they first captured her, they were the enemy and she wasn't going to help them in any way. Once they were all in the same danger from the Predator, the only way she would survive was if they all worked together, so she revealed that she could speak English. Every choice she made was based on her own need to survive. I could be wrong, but it makes sense to me.
Yeah, I made the same point in another comment. The base they raided had Russian spies, for god's sake! So obviously she was playing dumb, hoping to get away, but knew more than she pretended.
The Predators in AVP were Youngbloods. They were the Yautja equivalent of pimple-faced teens having their Bar Mitzvah. The ones in this movie and the second one are Blooded Hunters... very experienced hunters and killers, which is why they seem so much smarter and more competent.
BTW, there was no CGI in the film. The camo-effect on the Predator was hand painted cells on top of the film. It was considered to be an amazing achievement in special effects.
I believe they also had to create their own heat vision effect since these cameras were way too expensive at the time. But the movie aged so well and they did such a good job you wouldn't recognize even by today's standards
This could so easily have been a forgotten eighties action movie but by random chance had a ton of really talented people working on it. Stan Winston, fresh off of Aliens, creating one of the most iconic creature designs in movie history, the cinematographer went on to be Oscar nominated for Moulin Rouge, the composer went on to do all the Marvel movies, etc. On paper, it should have been trash but they elevated it to a classic.

Kevin Peter Hall (RIP), who played the predator was indeed a very tall guy. he also played one of the rescue chopper pilots at the end, and he played Harry in Harry and the Hendersons
The reason the woman pretends not to to speak English is the same everyone would in the same situation, if captured by the enemy, especially if they want information from you. The reason she reveals she speaks English is the same why, even if given the opportunity, she doesn't make any more attempts at escaping. She realizes they're no longer the enemy, but her only chance to make out of there alive. Her change of mind is very clear to me.
The guy who plays the Predator, Kevin Peter Halls was 6'9" (little over 2meters) and had ballet training which made him perfect for jumping through the trees. He replaced Jean Claude Van Damme who quit when he realized no one would see his face lol.
The reason for the higher intensity music continuing after the action scenes is because you aren’t supposed to wind down at all, you’re supposed to be stressed about the predator following them and there NOT being any breathing room. The reason they didn’t find it strange that the lady started speaking English is because they just assumed she had been refusing up to that point because she didn’t want to be interrogated. Once she realised she needed to communicate to survive she did.
It’s a video effect, an after effect. Nowadays Visual Effect. Not in camera. It's added to the film stock afterwards, covering up what is there already (which would be Kevin Peter Hall and - in a few scenes - Jean Claude Van Damme in a suit of some kind). No CGI though, that's correct.

It is a thinking, planning creature and that despite its physical and technological advantages, it is not unkillable, not mindless, it shows concern for itself, it acknowledges weakness and even worries about it's own safety... this scene separates this species from most other aliens and creatures
Jean Claude van Damme was originally cast to be the Predator... They wanted a ninja like villain but thankfully the idea was tossed in favor of a villain who appeared stronger than the many muscles of the protagonists... Imagine the Predator doing a van Damme split kick to Arnold's grill lol...
Fun fact. They went into filming without knowing what the Predator would look like. The original Predator was Jean Claude Van Damme who was replaced by Kevin Peter Hall, to reward Kevin for putting up with the suit as the Predator he also had a small part as the chopper pilot at the end of the movie. The reason they use a red light in choppers and aircraft at night is so the occupants retain their night vision which is very important if they are about to be inserted into enemy territory. The signal Dutch gave was to hook up their lines as they were near their drop point.
It wasn’t a “fake” trap. The actual, intended trap was the rope pulling the Predator up into the spikes Arnold whittled. The log was the counterweight for the trap. When the Predator figured out what was planned he moved around to avoid it, accidentally placing himself in the way of the falling counterweight. Arnold realizes what’s happening and takes advantage of it.
The red light in the chopper was to preserve their night vision. It can take 15 minutes for your eyes to adapt to the dark. Red light does not upset the transition much nor will it completely take away night vision like regular light can.
Police cars often have red dome lights for that reason. After lights out on Navy vessels only red lights remain on to preserve the eyesight of those standing watch. Astronomers also use red lights while stargazing.
Cool man. I watched it in 91,when i was still in kindergarten. Always watched it during my breakfast, and always stop just before predator open its mask bc i was too scared 🤣
On the AVP wiki page, Dutch and Dillon had been friends since high school and college. After graduation, they served in the Army to fight in Vietnam, where Dutch was captured and tortured to the point where he was resistant to pain, until Dillon and 12 other soldiers killed the VC and saved Dutch. The experience is what gave him the idea of creating a Search And Rescue Team with other Vets that served in Nam.
Can SimpliSafe keep me safe from the Predator? Gratz on your partnership btw :) Not my favorite film but always appreciate your reviews and insightful discussions, guys.
Fun trivia. This movie was filmed in Mexico. The water filtration system at the hotel where the actors were staying at broke and no one told them, giving most of the cast a bad case of travelers diarrhea. This created an unintentionally humorous dynamic on set; high octane, testosterone fueled action sequences staggered between 6 full grown alpha-male action stars racing for the toilets.
No. Dillon and Poncho spoke Spanish in the film. Ana didn't speak English on purpose because she was a prisoner. Once the situation changed and became about survival and sticking together, she opened up and shared her thoughts and info on blood on the leaves in English. What's not to understand about that? -OG
GET TO DA CHOPPA!!!! I saw this movie last night lol! Fun fact: Jean Claude Van Damme was considered to play the Predator, and played the character in some scenes, he quit production as he wanted to kickbox in the movie, but the producers refused, so 7'2" Actor Kevin Peter Hall (1955-1991) was hired and played the character to perfection.
This is the only movie I would give a solid 10. I have seen this movie countless times since my brother rented it back in 1989. I just can't find anything bad about this movie. The story is perfect, the pace is perfect, the cast is perfect, the music score is perfect, the setting is perfect, the suspense is perfect and ofcourse the way the Predator looks is....Perfect!. After all these decades I still think this is a masterpiece of a movie.
A note about the visual effects in 'Predator'; there is no CGI in the movie, the effects were created by R/Greenberg Associates, a company that specialised in rotoscope animation effects which were used to create the camouflage effects by painstakingly tracing the outline of the stuntman playing the Predator frame by frame and then rephotographing a 'halo' of the background around that outline and repeating it in reduced size over and over to fill in the space that the actor inhabited in the original image to create that prismatic effect.
The red light in the heli isn’t really foreshadowing. Military vehicles use red lights for illumination because they do not destroy your night vision. This way if you suddenly lose power or transition to operating in a dark environment you can quickly adjust
One of the brilliant touches is that everything the Predator uses is an analogue for something you could use for, say, duck hunting today. Guns? Camouflage? Something to mimic their call?
Alien and Predator have always been apples and oranges to me. Despite both being action/sci-fi/horror hybrids, I'd argue Predator leans into the action side of things more so than the rest, whereas the original Alien film is almost pure science fiction horror. It's not until Aliens do we really see more action leaning elements. To me, Predator is more like a big, dumb, 80's GI Joe jingoistic, version of "The Thing". I love it for that though.
I dunno, I think the sheer quality of the execution lifts the first Predator movie up to Alien level. There's something almost mystical about the Predator, helped by the strangeness and mystery of the well-photographed jungle environment. But the sequels couldn't recapture that (though I did like the flashback in AvP with the predators fighting on the pyramid).
Predator 2 is underrated. There is a deeper moment in this movie that goes unnoticed. Arnold”What the hell are you?” The Predator”What the hell are you?” The question that we all are wondering about us as a species, and as humanity itself.
When this movie was first released, it wasn't promoted in a way that made it clear the predator was an alien or what the title meant. This was the first time audiences had seen a movie like this and it was the first time that Arnold Schwarzenegger was up against an enemy who was far bigger and more powerful than he was. This was also cutting edge special digital effects for the camouflage. It was a landmark 80s movie and although now much of what it does has been done to death by numerous sequels and similar films that follow, this was the one that set the template. Interesting trivia - Jean Claude Van Damme was cast as the Predator and filmed some scenes before they realised it wasn't working out and he left the project to be replaced by 7ft 2inch tall actor Kevin Peter Hall.
@@TacShooter some males want to claim masculinity hasn't anything to do with violence but at the same time make comments like this. Whats so "testosterone" about this? The implied homoeroticism? Is and action movie, why would you try to make it about gender?
@@nabukt4208 Already responded to this stupid comment. Homoeroticism. If that is what you see in it, then you probably consider the movie a romance. Gender? There is only one woman in the movie and she doesn't fight. You have a very dull sense of the obvious.
During the shooting of this in Mexico, Sonny Landham (Billy) got drunk as hell and completely naked and climbed up on the roof of their hotel. He tied a fire hose around his waist and jumped off the 10 story building. The director John McTiernan who directed Predator, used this incident in his next film Die Hard
My favorite movie of all time...to explain the "action music" when they were just walking around, I always took that as them still being in control of the situation. The battle is won, the path is clear, there no aliens hunting them, so the music reflected a very confident, and driven mindset
Some of the criticisms seem a bit weird to me. For instance, the girl who at first doesn't speak English: I thought it was pretty obvious that she was a spy or covert operative (when they raided the base they discovered that some of the people they killed were Russian specialists). She was trying to play a dumb local girl so they might let her go or she could escape, but when shit got real and she needed to communicate she used English.
You must admit that the design of the predator looked very ahead of it's time...it looks like a character that you would see in a modern movie or a modern video game.
Jean Claude Van Damme originally played the Predator but quit a few days into filming. He was replaced by Kevin Peter Hall who reprised the role in Predator 2 and also played Bigfoot in Bigfoot and the Hendersons. Sadly he passed away not long after the release of Predator 2 due to HIV that he caught from a contaminated blood transfusion. When the director, John McTiernan went back to the Predator locations to shoot Medicine Man with Sean Connery he discovered the jungle had been completely stripped away and replaced with concrete freeways. James Cameron came up with the Predator design.
An ageless classic. Fun fact: making this movie was a very troubled production. The 1st half of the movie is an action/adventure film, and the 2nd half is a slasher horror.
My Dad has over a thousand recorded tv/movies VHS tapes all written down in a big red book. All in boxes in our basement now. I’ll always remember VHS # 3- Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure lol
I just noticed this time, even when Arnold's camouflaged and invisible the Predator still ends up sneaking up from behind Predator 2 is also amazing, can't recommend enough
This shows how well done were these movies in the 80's that an 8 years old kid can get impressed as we when had that age too, today in times of full CGI era
You guys might not know this, and you didn't show him in this reaction clip, but the black helicopter pilot who picked up Arnold Schwarzenegger at the end of the movie was the SAME guy who played the Predator, himself. He ALSO played "Harry" in "Harry And The Henderson's". R.I.P. Mr. Harry Peter Hall. A gentle giant who died too young. 😞
This obviously isn’t an Oscar winning deep thinker. It’s a hokey action movie starring a bunch of guys from the gym. That having been said, it’s good fun to watch.
Did you know "Predator 2"originally was planned to be the adaptation of "batman vs predator"? if you read the comic, you will see is the same story. Damn expensive crossover Copyrigths.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to watch Predator the way we did back in the day, not knowing what we were in for. Seeing this in theaters opening weekend was awesome!
I have to disagree with you regarding the Anna character. I think her not speaking English was her way of assessing the initial threat. Dutch and his team was what Anna was up against, until she realized there was a bigger threat. There was no reason why she should cooperate, hence her speaking Spanish. Once Hawkins was killed, Anna realized it was really about survival and that she needed Dutch and his team. Anna's willingness to speak English was to paint the picture of what they were up against and it was Billy's doomsday scenario to put the rest of the team in that headspace. I thought the way she was portrayed was perfect. Give up nothing, until one has to.
Love watching your reactions! I'm in my 40s and I saw many of these films when they were released. It's great to see you guys watch and rate these films. Kept me entertained over lockdown!
7.8 and 8 out of 10 for one of the most original, most iconic action movies ever? Come on guys. this movie is a 9 easily. Any director today DREAMS of making a tight, well-written and well-shot movie like Predator.
I was lucky enough to visit the Predator filming location in 2015. It's now a zip-line tourist attraction just outside of Puerto Vallarta; the encampment that gets blown up is now a restaurant. They even have a life-size statue of the Predator there!
I LOOOOVE how this movie starts out and you think it’s gonna be some 80’s action movie like Rambo, but then it turns into an intense horror thriller. Excellent movie. One of my favorites.
Absolutely. There is zero down time. Predator is a prime example of a movie with perfect pacing and no filler. Just the right amount of exposition and establishing of characters. Awesome soundtrack.
Predator was on par with Aliens for me. It simply hits all the right spots in action/horror/suspense genre and aged so well, with great side characters. A great film where you can just keep rewatching it.
One of my favorite movies. Love that the first half starts as a typical 80s action movie, then switches into survival horror in the second half. Predator 2 is batshit, but a fun watch nonetheless
A lot of this movie was shot on my hometown (Puerto Vallarta) in a place that is known as "El Eden". Beautiful place. You can still visit one of the shell of the helicopter that is still there
My father took me and my little brother to see this in theaters when it was originally released in 1987. I was in 5th grade. Thats just how we did it in the 80's. If this is your first time seeing it, know this: TODAY BROTHERS, YOU HAVE BECOME MEN.
Something that goes largely unappreciated is Arnold's acting. People make fun of his accent all day, but his expressions and delivery never seem monotonous. Look at the Sam Worthingtons of the cinema world. Big budget, boring screen presence. And even charismatic guys like Robert Downey jr or Dwayne Johnson pretty much play the same types or opt for the same projects. Terminator, Total Recall, Predator, etc. The man knew how to pick interesting scripts. When's The Rock gonna ever go out of his comfort zone and do some fresh ideas like this? He always opts for the same movie over and over.
I agree about Arnie's acting. Just look at his expressions of fear, anger and desperation in this film. On the other hand, it's all Dwayne Johnson can do just to stop smirking. He just can't deliver the intensity needed to be a real action star. It's not all about muscles! And yes, Arnie has been in multiple movies that are stone-cold classics. The closest Johnson has got is Fast Five, which I do like, but it's no Conan, Terminator, Total Recall, or Predator.
I'd rather be hunted by a Predator than a Xenomorph. It'll kill me fast rather than taking me to its nest to cocoon me as a host for a face hugger. Also, there's at least a chance I can reason with the Predator. Zero chance with a Xenomorph.
If you dont carry a weapon, And dont fight a predator You might not be a worthy hunt target If you are sick, Injured, Carrying a wounded person who got injured before the predator hunt, Pregnant Then a predator wont attack as it would a be a cowerdly act, They can kill those if they are a danger to the yautja Like wayland in avp, he was sick so the predator let him go, but when wayland attacked the predator killed him as he was a threat to him
Fun fact: The guy who played Hawkins is Shane Black who went on to be a successful writer, he wrote the lethal weapon series and iron man 3 amongst others!!!
If you guys have not already seen it, you guys should watch the movie ROBOCOP, Much like PREDATOR it is 85% Action and 15% Sci-Fi, It takes place in a dystopian future in the city of Detroit, so it does have a few Sci-Fi elements but it is just a bloody good time. "Emphasis on Bloody"
I cannot belive that you have NEVER seen this film? And to only give it 7.7?! This was the GOLDEN age of blockbusters the like of which will never been seen again and YES, that is a BAD thing!! None of the super hero shite thats emblazoned everywhere, men had to work in the Jungle, they were really there goddamit, none of this green screen shit!! And the guy that plays Billy, he was a psycho and needed bodygurds to keep him away from the other cast members between shooting!! And they all used to sneak off first thing in the morning to work out in secret, I guess that ego's were pretty big!!!
She speaks in spanish to stay silent and act dumb. So that the wont interrogate her. But when the interperter dies and she was scared she started to speak in english. Means that all along she can speak it. Well its normal for you a native speaker to think that no one else can speak your language. Hope this explaination helps your so that it may make you enjoy the film more
Hawkins is played by Shane Black. Who Directed the film The predator. He also wrote the movie Lethal weapon and The long kiss goodnight and was actually brought in to tweak the script for this film and ended up getting a part in the movie.
I just love all the practical effects which were so inventive and still look amazing. Something as simple as the green blood being the contents of a glow stick looks way better than any lazy CGI nonsense that would be done today.
I appreciate your channel because you genuinely react to these movies and have the ability to take in nuance and implied meaning. So many other reaction channels have either seen it before or jump it overacting. Its honestly refreshing.
14:35, Stan Winston, 1946-2008, did a hell of a good job bringing this character to life. The original predator concept was that of a humanoid lizard Insect hybrid with legs like that of a Satyr, a dog like head, and large yellow eyes. This idea was scrapped entirely and Winston got called in to create the most iconic alien hunter of all time.
That CGI isn't CGI. Everything I have read on the film indicates that they used optical and practical effects only. If anyone has any other info, please reply.

Gratz on your partnership btw :)
Not my favorite film but always appreciate your reviews and insightful discussions, guys.
It was shot in Mexico in the wrong season so all the vegetation was dead. They had to bring in trees and stuff to make it look more junglie.
No. Dillon and Poncho spoke Spanish in the film. Ana didn't speak English on purpose because she was a prisoner. Once the situation changed and became about survival and sticking together, she opened up and shared her thoughts and info on blood on the leaves in English. What's not to understand about that? -OG
Movie is over 30 years old and still kicking ass
The red light in the chopper is not foreshadowing. That colour of light is tactical to preserve night vision.
I had to look up "jingiostic". Lol
Thanks for my word of the day....off to use it in a sentence. 😂
Arnold”What the hell are you?”
The Predator”What the hell are you?”
The question that we all are wondering about us as a species, and as humanity itself.
I don't understand how so many people are just watching these films for the first time.
I was just thinking that. I first saw these movies so many years ago. Of course I’m older but does the younger generation not watch classics anymore?
@@MudderKuzz only the chosen younglings watched the masterpiece. The enlightened bunch 😁
Cinema Rules :"How many explosions do they want?"
Director: Yes
Make no mistakes, when this movie came out in the theatres it was a 10. Pure testosterone, pure action, pure thrills. Subscribed.
Pure testosterone lol wtf does that mean?
@@nabukt4208 Are you male?
@@TacShooter yes
@@TacShooter some males want to claim masculinity hasn't anything to do with violence but at the same time make comments like this. Whats so "testosterone" about this? The implied homoeroticism? Is and action movie, why would you try to make it about gender?
@@nabukt4208 Already responded to this stupid comment. Homoeroticism. If that is what you see in it, then you probably consider the movie a romance. Gender? There is only one woman in the movie and she doesn't fight. You have a very dull sense of the obvious.
Fun Fact: Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) is responsible for the clicking sounds that the Predator's mandibles make.
The original Predator here manages to look better than any other predator to date. IMO Stan Winston's team nailed it with this one.
Fun fact :
Kevin Peter Hall, who was the actor in the Predator suit, also played the helicopter pilot at the end of the film.
Yep, so technically the Predator won in the end :)
"Who is smarter? Alien or Predator?" If only they made a movie to prove once and for all.
Ikr
Yeah, I'd watch that! But only one, a second one would be horrible
Yah 5 o clock raping time totally
My Dad has over a thousand recorded tv/movies VHS tapes all written down in a big red book. All in boxes in our basement now. I’ll always remember VHS # 3- Pee Wee Herman’s Big Adventure lol
Im only 28, but it makes me feel old as fuck when i see people havent seen such classics as these.
I just noticed this time, even when Arnold's camouflaged and invisible the Predator still ends up sneaking up from behind
Predator 2 is also amazing, can't recommend enough
Also the black guy in the helicopter at the end is the guy who played the predator.
Fun fact. The black helicopter pilot at the end of the movie is Kevin Peter Hall who also played the Predator in the movie. Supershort Cameo.
I watched this movie with my daughter for the 1st time..I joked with her saying this was a true story and now she avoids any wooded area lol. She's 8
Wow you heartless dude!!
This shows how well done were these movies in the 80's that an 8 years old kid can get impressed as we when had that age too, today in times of full CGI era
Horrible and hilarious.
You raised your daughter right.
"True Lies" is one of Arnold's best movies! Please do a reaction!
Predator 2 was a great underrated movie by the way.
I can't remember who said it first, but Predator is an 80s slasher movie very cleverly disguised as an 80s action movie.
"I'm a godam sexual Tyrannosaurus."
"I ain't got time to bleed."
It's not just Arnie with the good lines. Jessie Ventura has a few too.
He also did a fantastic job as a wrestling commentator for the wwf.
@@chuck.u.farley him and Gorilla Monsoon were great together.
He also wanted to unionise wrestling, an opinion for which he got fired.
@@DigitalBath742 Agree. Vince McMahon also tried to rip him off as far as I know.
I love "I ain't got time to bleed", and I'm surprised it's not quoted more often.
Just fyi, the Predator laughing was it mimicking Billy 👍🏻
EVERYBODY misses that
7.8 and 8 out of 10 for one of the most original, most iconic action movies ever? Come on guys.
this movie is a 9 easily. Any director today DREAMS of making a tight, well-written and well-shot movie like Predator.
Fun fact Peter Cullen aka Optimus Prime voiced the Predator screams and noises. Basically Optimus Prime is Predator
I always thought it would have been better if they had not shown the space ship in the beginning.
@@chuck.u.farley agreed!
The pacing of the movie is spot on, made at a time when tension building was a great thing. This ain’t a Michael bay movie.
Absolutely. There is zero down time. Predator is a prime example of a movie with perfect pacing and no filler. Just the right amount of exposition and establishing of characters. Awesome soundtrack.
it was not the Predator's laugh it was the laugh it recorded from the tracker guy.
Predator was on par with Aliens for me. It simply hits all the right spots in action/horror/suspense genre and aged so well, with great side characters. A great film where you can just keep rewatching it.
Predator is a 10/10 movie all day long
Almost as fun as Commando
Stopped my binge watching to see this. Man you guys have really improved from 4 months so fast
One of my favorite movies. Love that the first half starts as a typical 80s action movie, then switches into survival horror in the second half. Predator 2 is batshit, but a fun watch nonetheless
I love Tom’s reaction when the predator ripped out the guy’s spine LOL
Its 10 out of 10 man a old classic sci-fiction true legendary film hope its never ever old to not remember in future
A lot of this movie was shot on my hometown (Puerto Vallarta) in a place that is known as "El Eden". Beautiful place. You can still visit one of the shell of the helicopter that is still there
Soo we can still... 'Get to the choppa!!?'. :)
My father took me and my little brother to see this in theaters when it was originally released in 1987. I was in 5th grade. Thats just how we did it in the 80's. If this is your first time seeing it, know this: TODAY BROTHERS, YOU HAVE BECOME MEN.
Hahaha, I can relate mate. The first movie I ever I saw in the theater was Robocop 1. I was 5 years old... Loved it.
@@awesomereviews1561 Saw that in theatres too. Ultra violent classic
Man of coulture!
"That CGI's not that bad." >> nope, optical effect, no CGI back then \o/
I'd rather be hunted by a Predator than a Xenomorph. It'll kill me fast rather than taking me to its nest to cocoon me as a host for a face hugger. Also, there's at least a chance I can reason with the Predator. Zero chance with a Xenomorph.
If you dont carry a weapon,
And dont fight a predator
You might not be a worthy hunt target
If you are sick,
Injured,
Carrying a wounded person who got injured before the predator hunt,
Pregnant
Then a predator wont attack as it would a be a cowerdly act,
They can kill those if they are a danger to the yautja
Like wayland in avp, he was sick so the predator let him go, but when wayland attacked the predator killed him as he was a threat to him
A predator will leave you alone if you arent a worthy hunt so id go with predator too id just throw my weapon down humbly give him the dub.
I'd rather be hunted by Schwarzenegger.
Fun fact: The guy who played Hawkins is Shane Black who went on to be a successful writer, he wrote the lethal weapon series and iron man 3 amongst others!!!
And The Predator which was the worst movie in the franchise.
Fun Fact: Shane Black, screenwriter extraordinaire, plays Hawkins. He penned greats like Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Predator.
She speaks in spanish to stay silent and act dumb. So that the wont interrogate her. But when the interperter dies and she was scared she started to speak in english. Means that all along she can speak it. Well its normal for you a native speaker to think that no one else can speak your language. Hope this explaination helps your so that it may make you enjoy the film more
Another classic!
Also the red light in DA CHOPPA doesn't mess with your night vision like ordinary light would.
Hawkins is played by Shane Black. Who Directed the film The predator. He also wrote the movie Lethal weapon and The long kiss goodnight and was actually brought in to tweak the script for this film and ended up getting a part in the movie.
No offense but to me with 'The predator' he took a big dump on the franchise. Eventhough I believe it was an awful script.
That laugh at the end, it wasn't the Predator laughing, it was mimicking the laugh it recorded earlier in the film (after that "pussy" joke).
Dudes, the foriegn films were amazing! Please keep it up.
I've been watching your channel for couple months. Really enjoy the reviews to some of my favorite movies. Keep them coming!
10 out of 10. Predator is a Masterpiece
That CGI isn't CGI. Everything I have read on the film indicates that they used optical and practical effects only. If anyone has any other info, please reply.
