  • After eight and a half months of war in Gaza, Israel still says it plans to destroy Hamas. But in an interview the spokesman of the Israeli army Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told Israel's Channel 13 broadcaster, ''To say that we are going to make Hamas disappear is to throw sand in people's eyes. If we don't provide an alternative, in the end, we will be left with Hamas," He added, "Hamas is an ideology, we cannot eliminate an ideology." Hamas is classified as a terrorist group by many Western countries. In addition to its military wing, it is also a political force that has governed Gaza since 2007. We spoke to experts Daniel Gerlach, Gil Murciano, and Andreas Krieg about the Israeli military's demand for a political strategy for Gaza, and the outlook for peace and stability in the region.

I'm just worried that Benjamin Netanyahu's idea for a plan of what comes *after* his war on Gaza, is an escalation of war against the Houthi's.
There is already a(n active!) Western military presence in the Red Sea to protect shipping lanes. Which have come under Houthi attack over the past weeks. A couple of sailors have died in these attacks.
So everything there has been sort of teetering on the edge.
Netanyahu says that his military efforts will be finished in Rafah in a 'few weeks'. ...Though no articulated plan for what comes after that in Gaza. And why everyone has to wait weeks is anyone's guess. What will be any different in several weeks worth of more bombing buildings to the ground than is different, say, the day after tomorrow, is anyone's guess.
For a short period of time after that (*if* Netanyahu follows through, and *stops* attacking Gaza, ...for some undefined period of time), ...there will, for a brief window, be an opportunity for a cease-fire, during which they can negotiate a real end to war in Gaza.
The Houthi's have said that their attacks in the Red Sea and Northern Israel are dependent on whether or not there is a cease-fire in Gaza.
*If* Netanyahu hasn't already decided that, ....well, as long as he's right there already, maybe just go on right ahead with attacking the Houthi. And so what if he's a bit out-gunned from the get-go. All of these Western battleship are sitting around there anyway. And sure, we'd really *hate* the idea of being involuntarily drawn into a shooting War-In-The-Middle-East involving a whole *bunch* of nations, but we probably would just allow his a..., hind-quarters, ...to get shot all to pieces, just because he decided to exercise a little too much irresponsible and murderous hubris. ...Would we?
*If* that is the case (and I honestly don't know if it is, one way or the other), ...but *if* it is, that would be the exact moment to apply a zero-tolerance embargo on Netanyahu getting *any* more Western weapons, for *any* reason. At least until the peaceful conclusion of all hostilities.
If he feels like starting War-In-The-Middle-East involving a whole *bunch* of nations, ...then let him figure out how to stop it.
And one good way to stop everything (and keep the Israeli people safe, maybe even along with everyone else) is to call an election in Israel, and vote him and his right-wing extremists the heck out of office.
That would sure solve a lot, ...for everyone involved.

Do I wish that Israel was far more careful in their attacks? Yes. Do I think it's unacceptable that Israel is stopping humanitarian support from reaching into Gaza? Yes. An ideology can be rendered impotent when the individual that perceives it distinguishes themselves internally between thought and the self. There is a contradiction in this mental game since everything comes from one immutable unspeakable essence. This is to say everything is creation and to see creation is to measure. By seeing thought as transient we can see something/a presence that is constant. That constant is always there, thought/ideologies of any kids nd are only as powerful as the energy you give it. Energy is given through awareness. Where do you place your attention? If attention is placed on thought we literally become thought. If its consistently placed on other outside the self then we remain dimmed to greater awareness. Place your attention upon yourself. Be self aware. Self awareness outside anything else clears the mind. That self awareness becomes more and more present in everything.

Resistance: In WW2, in France, it meant kicking out the German army. Today, in Palestine, it means destroying Israel, killing its people, and stealing everything they've built.

Netanyahu never said he wanted to destroy Hamas. He knew himself this could not be done. He and Israel always said they wanted to destroy their military and governing ability, which is achievable. The media never seems able to make this distinction.

he talked about AMALEK! its all about genocide and ethnic cleansing! Perhaps u didn't listen that part! Hamas is not even supported by most Palestinians, but when Israel kills Palestinian civilians people will have no option but to resist and join any group that will fight the Apartheid regime! ....

Netanyahu is transparent and realistic with these objective given. If this could be achieved, the sooner, the better. The reason its taking longer because of UN, humanitarian help, they have to be careful and follow international rules such as military targets.

It's more like they are reduced in magnitude to be manageable.
God-king ideology has been subjugated long ago, but we still get religious cults and Donald Trump in the US.
Theocracy has been subjugated, and few remnants such as Iran and ISIS are marginal players at best.
Absolute monarchy has been subjugated, but we have today N Korea Kim dynasty.
Fascism has been defeated, but clearly not gone. We have Putin and Xi doing it with lots of sway in the world.
