Spent 10 days in jail at 21 years old. Was out in 8 for good time. It was a multiple of driving convictions, no dui's. After that I knew I never wanted to return. I never did.

I did a bit of shoplifting and underage drinking. Never caught but I was sensible enough to quit that life at 17 and went on a crime-free life! Now at 36 I cherish freedom every single day. The freedom to look up fun music from the 70s on my phone and enjoy the sunshine with a bit of rum!
I can't imagine being in the tin for life. No enemy, no anger is worth giving up on life! Nothing!

It costs twice as much to carryout a death sentence than life without parole and I think that the death penalty is the easy way out whereas life without parole gives them the rest of their lives behind bars to waste away slowly

Michigan spends 48k per year, per prisoner. They live to an average age of 64. That's $1.84 million over 38 years for this guy. Death row costs are 90k a year average. Plus the cost of appeal attorneys, filings, court costs, etc...

I believe that life without parole is worse than death. Millions of dollars will be spent on appeals, and in most cases, people sit on death row for years. Just the thought of never seeing the outside world again at 26 is possibly the worst thing one can experience; seeing the world change from the inside of a jail cell.
