  • In this video I talk about some of the best trail systems in Prescott Arizona! I listed out a few Pros and Cons of each area as well. This video is really made for the out-of-towner who is just visiting or for anyone who is new to mountain biking, so this list is not extensive by any means.
    I do recommend downloading the TrailForks app since almost all trials are on there-- www.trailforks.com
    Some other areas to consider are the Thumb butte trails, Granite Mountain trails and Badger Mountain.

    So good! Great job putting this one together Josh. Cant wait to ride Constellation trails with you again, maybe when it’s cooler! Keep putting out great content like this. I’m gonna share it in a post on my channel now.

    I grew up in Prescott back in the age of iron and steam (PHS class of "76) and am coming over in November to ride. None of these trails existed then. So, this video was precisely what I was looking for. Thanks.

    Bro this is the best video I've seen yet showing trails in prescott. I've lived here three years and have only ridden a few cause I'm not sure what to expect. Thanks for the information. Please keep making these🤟

      Josh is an AMAZING rider. He was the one who first showed me most of my favorite trails here in town AND he is an amazingly kind friend. When I knew almost nobody in town, he offered to meet me and my family when we pulled up with the U-Haul and help us unload. So blessed to know the Penny Pinching Cyclist!

    Very informative. Thanks for putting this together. Is the riding weather more bearable in October? Also, if we only have half a day (and like a bit of technical) what would you recommend?

    • @PennyPinchingCyclist
      @PennyPinchingCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, October is perfect riding weather. And for half a day of riding with a little bit of tech I would suggest the Spence basin area I mention in the video. There is a little bit of everything there. If you have the Trailforks app check out missing link, little Italy, and Rocky top. There are a ton of trails out there with endless loop options 👍

    What did you use for your video setup for this as far as Camera and Mount, especially for the constellation trail portion? I like the perspective your video gives.

      Thanks! I just used a Gopro Hero 8 and chest mount from Amazon (I think its was the Sametop brand, it was only like $18 but works great!)

    HELP Infound a deal on a new Mach 4 my friend says it does not have the head angle to handle mtb due to being a Xc. I ride socal ascending and descending

    • @PennyPinchingCyclist
      @PennyPinchingCyclist  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Mach 4 is a trail/Xc bike so it’s middle of the road. Perfectly fine for social stuff and beyond. It even handles Sedona chunk just fine.

    hey great video i have a quick question, would it be rude of me if i took a rc crawler on one of these trails? are they only for bikes and i cant walk them because the cool rocks?

    • @PennyPinchingCyclist
      @PennyPinchingCyclist  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The trails are for hiking too so you could take an RC crawler out there!

    Where is the open bowl in the dells for freeride? I went there with someone a long time ago and dont remember where it is on a map.

    • @PennyPinchingCyclist
      @PennyPinchingCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a fun area! It’s near willow lake. If you take the “willow lake/approach” trail on trail forks it will dump you right into the bowl and onto canyon trail.

    Where's the best place to stay for a couple night's near Thumb Butte ?

    • @PennyPinchingCyclist
      @PennyPinchingCyclist  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You might be able to find an Airbnb off thumb butte road, but honestly any of the hotels downtown are going to be close. Hassayampa, Hilton, Hotel St. Michael are just a couple options.
