Squeekers was so great and tragic. Even Kirito felt bad at his death. And Leafa said all Squeekers's love was faked. A cruel lie. They said they loved him but in reality hated him! Which is SOMETHING coming from Leafa given that she emotionally toys with Nutter Butter and sends him on suicide missions. And we of course realize that Leafa is lying as all the Salamanders loved Squeekrs. And his unborn children! A great combo of 'racism', stupidity, not paying attention, and projection on Leafa's part. Good think Squeekers can respawn.

I love you guys! You've helped me out of a serious depression several times through the years and thank you so much for the dedication and content!
(Still early in the VOD so perhaps you already confirmed) guessing the heavy scene in Ep 17 is when in SAO original Suguha figured out Kirito was her brother and confronted him IRL which I've long thought was going to be an interesting scene with this very different dynamic.
Started watching this series after Season One ended (but before Season Two began). You guys deliver in every single episode and this latest one was personally my favorite one yet. Thank you for such dedication to your excellent work.
I have a theory that death gun in the next GGO Abridged is don fluffles, king of ashes, and one of the laughing coffin member (I forget if it was Johnny Black or the leader in the original GGO) and the method of killing people is they sent Don Fluffles (since he's a cat, nobody would notice) with knife or something to kill the player after they hacked targeted player's address.
It's disappointing that its truly over. I have been watching sense ep4 came out. Never missed a episode more than a week or so. Good job guys. You made a series that dwarfed the original in my opinion. Only to loose out to Hellsing abridged. *Slow clap*
I just watched the scene where Kirito meets Death Gun for the first time and thought "it would be funny if SAOA made him Don Fluffles, and Kirito's PTSD episode was him realizing just how boned he was."
I found an odd duality when it comes to abridged. It, most of the time, turns out better than the og, but you cant fully appreciate without the prior knowledge of the main story. It makes it hard to get my buds into it but i feel bad that they'll never understand how good this stuff is
Just adding my two cents to the pile, but I LOVE that you guys do this. The show is amazing, and I love it to pieces and back, but seeing HOW you do some of this stuff is so great. Hell, I didn't even notice at LEAST a third of the jokes you talked about until it was pointed out how the editing worked on that. (Most notably the *crunch* in episode 15's sword-to-the-stomach sound effect) Thanks for doing what you guys do, and thanks for showing me even more to appreciate.
I very much enjoy watching these guys go through the process of how they write/edit each episode. It's so damn entertaining just to hear the thought process and I even get to pick up some more editing tips/tricks as a bonus. Hopefully they keep doing these post-mortems for future episodes as well. Until next year (or sooner).
I went to do a college course in film trying to learn editing and stuff for maybe eventually making animated films (I mainly wanted to do the writing side but thought the editing side would be a good way into a studio) but the course didn't work out and they only really taught you what was needed for live action film... going to do english, psychology and religion and ethics now. but hey! now I know how to use premiere for if I ever do youtube in the future! Keep up the incredible work guys! The amount of effort behind this is immense and it's such high-quality.
I’m waiting for someone to make a reasonably good version of One piece. I used to love it, but its become unwatchable Now they’ve started making fight scenes that take 8 episodes, repeat parts of the fight from 2 episodes ago, Take 6 minutes to start the episode. Completely lost that the heart of the show is friends on an adventure helping each other through thick and thin.
The editing is so incredibly good that I can definitely say I didn't notice what got altered 95% of the time in the whole of SAOA - and most of the remaining 5% is jokes or some eye movements that I am sure weren't in the original because of tone & what I do know about the source material (I haven't seen anything SAO after season 1 though)
Watching all the work and effort and fun y'all put into this masterpiece is just (painful to watch all the complicated integrations, and complicated software) amazing and all the laughs and inside jokes is an amazing experience. And I love getting asap shows, but if you need more time to make it just, A-1 steak sauce, then you take all the time you need. Love y'all
Darlings, I just re-saw the ep15 post mortem and just thought of Izzy doing all the lip-flap work and wanted to say, you don't ACTUALLY have to show the face of the talking character the whole time, nobody would be upset or even think out of place if we switched over to the listening character and see their faces change during the line. Both a timesaver and also increases fluidity of drama!!

"We made the tentacle scene worse..."
Oh for the love of God and everything holy and unholy, please don't tell me she is gonna be into that shit....
honestly, i can see adam's family levels of 'this is fine' working out
Oh my gosh I didn't even think of that!🤣
My immediate thoughts too lol
Or maybe it's worse because she's sexually assaulting the tentacles and not the other way around!
Kirito: Ohhh Nooo!
Please tell me they're joking
i'm still in awe of how unforgivably, disgustingly, perfectly awful Suguha is as a person. It takes a special kind of genius to make me love wanting to tear someone's head off
Suguha did nothing wrong
recon did someone wrong tho lol
nah, recon's got the succ on speed dial he's doing something RIGHT
That's why we have Yui and her face ripping off magic.
@@ThatTCG i... think.. THINK the op was misrecalling... the guy who is Oberon in game (because i can't recall his actual name but recall it being like suugua or something similar)
2:13:29 - And this is what separates Izzy and the rest of SWE from the SAO creators both real and abridged: they put in EFFORT!!!! And this is why even if an episode only drops once a year, we will all be here to watch and appreciate the work you do.
It's so amazing to watch how much work not only goes into their top-notch writing, but also into photoshop-altering the source material with new animation. A lot of the stuff Izzy made looks so natural, it's hard to believe it's not a direct screen grab even after seeing him do it himself. This isn't some "haha we made the MC say penis" abridged series. This is art.
I wish they would come back. Its been a year now
I love how he colour codes the audio for each voice, it's so satisfying
Ikr, you can tell whos talking even when its paused cuz the color coding is true to the characters

The unfiltered scream that Izzy did for the goat monster will always be my favorite.
I love yall so much, and enjoyed the newest episode so much! Thank you guys for all you guys do
Hearing what I know to be Kirito and Asuna's voices talk regularly about this stuff is weird as hell XD
Their relationship when they finally don't have to kill everyone around them. (And Asuna has gotten rid of Kiritos Harem)
Kirito doesn't really have a harem this time around tho. Liz is already scared straight, Silica is afraid of him, and Suguha is into Nagata xD. Man's free
@@xainreaper6458 yeah

@@brianstabile165 now that I think of it, Sinon might become a rival of Asuna. Not for Kirito's D, but just a rivalry stemmed from that misunderstanding.
Seeing the breakdown made me realize how many of the shots in that episode were such clean edits, I just assumed that it was in the base show and I misremembered.
Suuuuper big props to Izzy for the top tier editing and everyone for the wonderful job!
You all have brought us laughter for years, that will ultimately last in my mind forever. Thank you so much for everything
In the massive fight in the world tree, I hope to god there is a callback to the “stop playing bejeweled” joke.
Watched the whole VOD, absolutely loved the experience and wish I had caught the stream… The amount of editing you two do is insane, I HIGHLY respect that. Also bloopies? Theres bloopies?! Karf is looking tempting for that alone… but yeah seriously that was an awesome breakdown, and I 100% support more cannibalism jokes. Keep up the funny shit, see ya in a year (or for both of our sanity’s sake, a few months) :)
The bloopies are almost as good as the regular episode (they even lip sycn them). Finally joined KARF because I couldn’t stand waiting for the next episode and those made it worth it alone.
I can’t really covey in a TH-cam comment how much I appreciate your guys hard work and how much you guys put into these episodes. Seriously thank you! This series has been so enjoyable for so many years and can’t tell you how many friend I’ve introduced this series too and it’s always a big hit
Man, this is fascin8ing! In addition to being interesting from a technical standpoint, this breakdown also gives enlightening insight into just *how* impressive the editing is.
man its so cool to see them break down the episode clip by clip and talk about the thought process that went behind it
Squeekers was so great and tragic.
Oh god...you don't know that pets on Alfheim have permadeath enabled...
@@josephperez2004 yeah since it was built off of SAO’s code that means pet death is perma-death and the only way to bring them back is to collect like 50 flowers bring them to a town to get a key to go into a dungeon to fight and fight about 8 bosses to revive them. And it all has to be done in 3 days
@dustyfedora Assuming they haven't forgotten to add said dungeon into the game
I just discovered Saoa , I binged it and prolly will binge it again soon let me just tell you thank you for taking this great premice and turning it into a real freaking great anime. @@tap5263 Hi
:)
Whenever a new abridged comes out makes me want to watch them all again
Love the videos you guys. Honestly would be happy just watching you guys rewatch your creation.
Post-Mortems are both fun, funny, interesting, and and great way to make me worry and appreciate Izzy.
Also just imagine Kirito had job and the same mannerisms as inside Aincrade for the people on the phone then the swap to co-workers. However he’d never take the job willingly.
You know what I realized when the characters are killed their bodies disappear the fact that reki's body is still there means he was still alive with his face in the water as they shot him 3 more times and threw mayo on him probably from a paralyzing bolt
Keep up the fantastic work dudes! It doesn’t matter how long each episode takes, we will wait. After Team 4 Star had to stop on Dragon Ball, y’all are a blessing.
Take as much time as you need! Can’t rush greatness .. I probably rewatched the series like 10 times .. certain parts are always popping up in head .. “ we must save my family “ 🤣🤣🤣
I binged the series in a day. Fucking astounding. Yalls version is a major improvement. Do not ever feel bad about your content or the time it takes to make it, take your time. It's epic.

YES THANK YOU FOR DOING MORE OF THESE!
Watching these post-mortems gives me so much appreciation and respect for how much work goes into the editing. You're amazing, Izzy!
Loving these. Always cool to hear the stories behind the end product.
I only just found you guys and I love everything, I've just binged the series and I am a BIG fan, love this!
Thank you guys for another amazing episode and post-stream! I love the cast and crew of this series so much and I’m so happy the wait was worth it! I always love listening to the post-stream discussions and hearing the cast/crew talk about the process and other tidbits behind the scene! We are starting off 2022 on a high note and I can’t wait for the next episode! 🥰😎❤️
How the hell did you guys manage to have more lore to alfheim online than actual alfheim online
I just wanna say I truely appreciate all the work and hope you all keep at this to eventually do season 2 :D these always fill me with such nostalgia and happiness when they release. I can't convey how much I appreciate it but I can't wait to see the next episodes and you guys are all amazing
This abridged series is still the greatest one I’ve ever seen 😂😂 been following it since like episode 3 or 4 was out!
I learned so much about what you guys do from watching this. Love everything you do and hope you are being showered with praise and gold.
1:37 I don't know if I'd call it a really important event, but I did leave halfway into a heart surgery. Don't worry though, I had the janitor cover my shift.
well I mean, it's Reki, he can handle it. face of god and all that.
@@CH-bd6jg Yeah he's still got that ego boost from Kayaba. I still don't know if he managed to put that heart back in but he seemed pretty confident while he was trying to figure out which organ was the heart. On the plus side, might be seeing the world's first man to have three Kidneys and no heart.
If you want an book reference idea… Thardsvergûndnzmal. Also known as an Erôthknurl, its from the Inheritance cycle by Christopher Paolini. Is basically a ball of clay that through a lot of time and steps ends up resembling a smooth gemstone. It literally translates to “Earthstone” as its from the dwarven language. One of my person favorite obscure literary tongue twisters… also you might as well call it a polished turd.
Ayo? Inheritance fan in this comment section!? Hella yeah!
Read it, knew that was familiar!
Hi *late to the party here* but I just wanted to say that no matter how much time passes between episodes I still look forward to a new one coming out and every few months I binge watch from episode 1 thru 16 O.O
I don't know how many other people do this and maybe I'm just a weirdo! I appreciate the effort that goes into each scene and the jokes after all this time still hold up! I've gone back to watch some dbz abridged episodes (I also love the series from team 4 star) and their jokes honestly haven't aged that well :/ still, I like it but yall nailed it with SAO!
I love you guys! You've helped me out of a serious depression several times through the years and thank you so much for the dedication and content!
we need someone do a 1 hour analysis of why this serious is so great

Check out Explaination Point’s two part series on it. Pretty good stuff

Why would you need this explained to you? Just pay attention
The intro already has me smiling with 'Streamis'
(Still early in the VOD so perhaps you already confirmed) guessing the heavy scene in Ep 17 is when in SAO original Suguha figured out Kirito was her brother and confronted him IRL which I've long thought was going to be an interesting scene with this very different dynamic.
Started watching this series after Season One ended (but before Season Two began). You guys deliver in every single episode and this latest one was personally my favorite one yet. Thank you for such dedication to your excellent work.
Im so glad that you guys are gonna do ggo, its my favourite arc and i cant wait to see how you improve it
I have a theory that death gun in the next GGO Abridged is don fluffles, king of ashes, and one of the laughing coffin member (I forget if it was Johnny Black or the leader in the original GGO) and the method of killing people is they sent Don Fluffles (since he's a cat, nobody would notice) with knife or something to kill the player after they hacked targeted player's address.
*The final boss for Something Witty Entertainment is Final Cut 10.*
It's disappointing that its truly over. I have been watching sense ep4 came out. Never missed a episode more than a week or so.
Good job guys. You made a series that dwarfed the original in my opinion. Only to loose out to Hellsing abridged. *Slow clap*
Legitly though I watch the entire series atleast once a year. Can't wait to see what you do next

I really hope that when they get to the GGO arc that Don fluffles makes a comeback, either as the villan or his partner
I just watched the scene where Kirito meets Death Gun for the first time and thought "it would be funny if SAOA made him Don Fluffles, and Kirito's PTSD episode was him realizing just how boned he was."
Thank you for another amazing episode, the invisibility cloaks were great.
I found an odd duality when it comes to abridged. It, most of the time, turns out better than the og, but you cant fully appreciate without the prior knowledge of the main story. It makes it hard to get my buds into it but i feel bad that they'll never understand how good this stuff is
Honestly with sao you can just say this was an incest plot or this war a cringy rape sceen or she was a pure damsel in distress all of alphime
Ep 16 was freaking awesome guys! TY for the masterpiece!
Keep up the awesome content, the SAO Abridged series is so rewatchable
I love these videos and the abridged series!
The amount of effort behind this is immense and it's such high-quality.
all anime companies just have to hire you guys to make an abridged version of anything they make
I’m waiting for someone to make a reasonably good version of One piece.
I used to love it, but its become unwatchable
Now they’ve started making fight scenes that take 8 episodes,
repeat parts of the fight from 2 episodes ago,
Take 6 minutes to start the episode.
Completely lost that the heart of the show is friends on an adventure helping each other through thick and thin.
@@Wemdiculous
There's a fan edit called One Pace
@@Wemdiculous eh too be fair what's going on in the manga now is nothing but one big fight scene so it fits.

And Kirito almost insulted Sugaha as a Dracolich. Fun.
Thank you so much for this ridiculous amount of work. Cant wait till next year.

If the tentacle stuff gets cut from the next episode, why not make a short episode out of it and call it "SAOA 16.5"?
Not bad, not bad at all.
Speaking of fanservice-y stuff, I wonder how they'll handle the rape scene in the finale, swe already proved that while they know how to make great comedy they don't shy away from tragedy and violence, even more than the supposedly serious SAO did so it's anyone's guess.
