At 5:21 one can see a fountain with the history-column which shows the 2000 years history of the city from the bottom to the top. The city appeared several times like a phoenix out of its ashes: after the migration period and a vikings raid, after the artillery bombardment during the war of the Palatinate Succession in 1688 and after many air raids during the Second World War. The last boost came with the federal horticultural show in 2011 for with the new cable car was build with which one can travel from the city to the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein high above the opposite bank of the river Rhine.
Thanks for sharing such interesting facts about Koblenz’s sightseeings. 🙏 I have a short of the Historiensäule Fountain and wrote a bit about this fascinating landmark 🙂
I live here now, as my parents did and my mom's parents, after escaping East G 2:47 ermany, before the wall was finished. My husband and I love living here. And our days will end here, also. Plot is paid for. And my parents await.....
I have hear about Koblens only as a Brand, I did not know there is a beatiful city named that way. Greetings from México, In my bucket list in my next trip to Europe, love Germany.

Menschen aufnehmen ohne Erlaubnis ist strafbar.😢
Dann müssen fast alle Kanäle auf TH-cam bestrafen 🤷♀️
Wall to wall tourists--
give me buildings and parks that dont remind me of Ohio with too many tourists.
Tourists are everywhere, especially in summer 😄
