Thanks for watching! What do you think about the search capabilities in Microsoft 365? Do the updates to OneDrive search go far enough?

We'd use "settings" if it wasn't so hard to find things and difficult to navigate

And about 20% of our PCs won't let you use Settings (Administrator does not have the necessary privileges to change Settings, but does have the privileges to use the Control Panel). These PCs are in the same OUs as PCs that work, it is just random.

The settings app is almost 12 years old and was introduced in Windows 8. It really is about time to finish it...

I'm fine with the imperfect Windows 11. It feels much easier to uninstall stuff using CP than in Settings. I still prefer Windows to Mac and Linux because of the stability of MS 365 apps on Windows and because I often use some apps that are only available on Windows. But yeah, wondering why it's so hard to integrate CP features into Settings while they had to rewrite the entire OS.

It took me several days to get rid of all the garbage Windows 11threw at me. Creating a local account, logging out of Microsoft account, deactivating search, installing Libre office instead of Windows office. Only Apple's aggressive pricing of memory prevented me from buying a mac. Because of the developements in Windows I am using Linux for more than a decade. were it not for a lack of printer and scanner drivers I would run everything with Linux. And thanks to the incredible piower of today's chips, one can run Windows very well in virtual machines. This makes me almost wonder wether Microsoft had been bought by Mr Musk...What use is an operating system which renders your computer useless, unless you put half of it into the "drunk tank"?
