I have a 40 breeder with 1 similar sized hang on refugium and bought a bulky skimmer. Should I worry about the seals letting go? It is rimmed but an old tank
I wouldn’t worry about it as long as the seals are in decent shape. I braced mine because I put 2 HOB Refugiums over a space of 48” and they take up pretty much the whole length of the back which is a lot of water volume. So having a short tank height wise with a long length carrying a lot of weight was cause for concern. If I would have just done 1 HOB I would not have braced it.
Nothing new with the nem nano or 45. Really just been coasting. I moved my home office upstairs, hence the new build. The large tank that was in my basement with the eel is being decommissioned with my home office move.
