Which Coloured Pencils to Use for a Grey Horse | Colour Recipes

- Grey horses are always a little tricky, especially when drawing on white paper, so I thought I'd go through some of the pencils I used on this beautiful grey thoroughbred, Sterling.
I've used white Pastelmat board by Clairefontaine, Faber Castell Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Luminance and Pablos and Derwent Lightfast.

There’s, a coloured, a chestnut, & a bay.......I’m drawn to the little skewbald, simple because of his markings.

WOW. Amazing talent. I bought 120 polychromos. I just want to learn a basic flower and I'd be happy. I keep buying art materials and papers but I can't draw yet. I think I need to stop watching videos of really talented people. It discourages me a bit to try. 😕

Very nicely done. I haven't used Pastel Mat yet, did you use solvent to get it looking so smooth? Or just lots of layers?
I am staying off FB. Cannot take the drama. But I miss my Colored Pencil group. Wish there was another way to keep up with it. 😞
Oh that's a shame - I tend to just scroll past anything that may make me unhappy, and then what happens is just the nice things pop up in my feed :)

What colour app (for a phone) would you recommend to find the colours in a reference photo?
I don’t use an app I like to find the colours I recognise 🥰
