Just read the new interview of Sam in Clash magazine and thought "Could I love them even more?" Watched this video and.... Yes I could. The world would be so much better if there were more men like them.
I want to start by saying that I have nothing but massive respect for both Dan and Sam, but I feel the need to point out a misunderstanding on what feminism is. Theresa May is not trying to act like a man - saying that she is, is the problem. Just because a woman is upfront and dominant doesn’t mean she’s trying to be like a guy. Feminism means allowing women to embrace who they are, regardless of what society tells them. The idea that a man acts a certain way and that a woman acts in another is damaging. I grew up in a very Republican neighbourhood where gender roles were strictly enforced. I was told that sliding and soiling my clothes to get a ball was not how “a proper lady would act” and was shamed for my behaviour. The sad thing is that I was not stepping out of line, the boys in fact were not given the same talk for being equally motivated as I was to score a goal. This idea of how a girl should be is something that feminists should strive to get rid of. Again, I am not hating on either Dan or Sam. I respect them as people and musicians. I just hope that they, as well as the people who feel proud of them for it, see why the comment they made was a bit ignorant.

I think people answer it that way because it’s a bit of a goofy question (or at least is often interpreted that way) so they give a bit of a goofy answer about sex and stuff. My personal answer would probably doing what I would always do. Singing, playing the drums, writing songs. Show that your sex doesn't define what you can or cannot do. Their uncertainty in their way of argumenting shows me that they're serving the common narrative about feminism. Which is just the victim role of being a woman

Feminism only fights against fictional discrimination in games and movies, whilst they're doing nothing against real discrimination, like in Muslim countries.
Do you say that because you agree with their views or because you think they have experience with running a country, that they know advanced politics, economics, foreign relations, etc, etc? It's very easy to have opinions, but very hard to make them real.
I liked how they took silly questions and turned them into serious or semi-serious topics. It shows they're good people.
