Architects have been one of my all time favorite bands since the minute I heard Hallow Crown just after it dropped. This is really great stuff man! If someone had shown it to me I would have second guessed my ear at a couple points.

man this is a really well made video, I love it! but one thing, the fact that getting Sams vocal style is really hard is apparent on the fact that Ezekiel sounds like Caleb Shomo more than Sam Carter ;)
He's doing the same style of vocals that Sam does. His yells are just pitched higher than Sam's because his voice has a different timbre and it's also hard to power the distortion with lower pitches. Takes a lot of practice and iron lungs. Caleb does a falsetto-heavy version of this

That's why everyone should write about things they're passionate about. With that said, this song sounds very much like Architects. Sound is good, instrumental on point and the vocalist snapped on his part. Absolutely live this!
To be honest doomsday is the best song on the album, the rest of the album is a bit mediocre, its more or lest the way the songs are arranged and not how they sound

@@SSStevie Its not about being formulaic or not. In fact, looking at this album through those generic "formulaic vs unpredictable" or whatever lens is completely wrong. This is not a dime a dozen metal album. This is not, in this very particular case, just a music album that a band puts out because they have a bunch of songs and a contract to fulfill. This is not a band that accentuates the inhuman, machine-like and inanimate traits of music (a good example of that is Meshuggah, and they are masters of it), this is a band thats based on 100% human experience. And this album is like the enlightenment and consolation you reach in heaven after death. Its the aftermath, the worrisome calm after the storm, the battle has already been fought (and lost, on the previous album), and youre now left with the trauma and shock of the event (rather than the depressingly devastating prospect of looming defeat. Thats the major difference between this album and the last. Its not made to impress or wow in any particular aspect of instrumental mastery or arrangement or "cool riffs" or something. Every bit, every strings section and electronic ambience , etc its all put together to convey the experience of dealing with pain and there are very few other examples of contemporary music that reach the same level of efficiency in that respect. And from the arrangement viewpoint, its all there, just take a listen to the title track, how it gradually devolves into bare fragments then builts up again culminating with that triplet double bass and some of Sam's best and most agonizing vocal performance ever. I would say Doomsday, as cool of a track as it is, is one of the weakest on the album actually. i do think AOGHAU is their best album, but it doesnt take away anything from Holy Hell. Its a connected trilogy of albums starting with LF//LT (with tons of cross-references) and each one has its place. Hope this answers your question.
