What do you mean you illiterate illusion
*Multiplication 5*
● when using the trachtenberg method, we start from the last digit, working our way towards the first. So from right to left
● the digit underneath will be half the number to the right ➡️
EG :
026 × 5
130
1) underneath 6 there is 0 since there are no numbers after 6.
2) underneath 2 there is 3 since half of 6 = 3
- it is important to note that in front of every number, there is an zero, and underneath the zero will be half of the first digit.
- In this case there is 1 underneath 0 since half of 2 = 1
● if the original (top) number is odd, then add 5 to the value you get after halving the number to the right
《Example》
036 × 5
180
1) here, the number under under 3 is 8. This is because half of 6 is 3, and since the original (top) number is odd, we add 5 to the half, so 3+5=8.
● it is important to remember that the half of odd numbers will not end in .5, instead we will ignore it and just use the first digit.
In this case, underneath 0 is 1, since half of 3 is actually 1.5 and we have ignored the .5
*Multiplication 6*
● underneath each number, will be the original (top) value + add half of the number to its right
《Example》
026 × 6
156
- underneath the 6, there will be a 6 and nothing else since there is no other value next to the top 6
- underneath 2, there is a 5 since we halfed 6 which = 3 and added it to the original top number which is 3+2=5
- underneath 0 there is a 1 since half of 2 = 1 and 1+0=1
● if the top digit is an odd number, then we'll do the same exact thing, however we will add an additional 5 to it.
《Example》
036 × 6
2•16
1) underneath 6 there is a 6 since there is no neighbouring digit
2) underneath 3 there is •1, this is because half of 6 is 3 so 3+3=6 then we add the additional 5 which is 6+5=11
since 11 is a two digit number, we will use the unit number and next to it we'll put a dot to represent the extra tens.
3) underneath 0 there is a 2 since half of 3 is 1 and we added the extra ten from the last digit, so 1+1=2
*Multiplication 7*
● underneath the top number, we will double the top value, then add half of the neighbouring number
《Example》
026 × 7
18•2
- underneath 6 there is a •2 which basically represents 12. This is because we double 6 which = 12 and added 0 since there is nothing next to it.
- underneath 2 there is an 8, since 2×2=4 and half of 6 = 3 so 4+3=7. Then we added the extra 10 on which is 7+1=8
- underneath 0 is 1 since 0×2=0 and half of 2=1
● just like before, if the top digit is an odd number, we will do the same thing but add an additional 5
《Example》
036 × 7
2•5•2
1) underneath 6 there is •2 since 2×6=12
2) underneath 3 there is •5, since 3×2=6 add half of 6 which is 3, so 6+3=9
Then we add the additional 5 which is 9+5=14 and then add the extra ten 14+1=15
3) underneath 0 there is a 2, since half of 3 is 1 add the extra 10 1+1=2
*Multiplication 11*
● underneath the digit, add the neighbouring number to the top value
《Example》
026 × 11
286
1) underneath 6 is 6, since there's nothing next to 6
2) underneath 2 is 8 since 6 is the neighbouring digit so 2+6=8
3) underneath 0 is 2 since 2 is the neighbouring digit
Exercise : practice Multiplication 6
0827 × 6
496•2 ✅️
* Remember to carry the ten over
0792 × 6
4•7•52 ✅️
01927 × 6
1•1•56•2 ✅️
071930 × 6
4•3•1•580 ✅️
Thanks urs is much simpler to understand 😂
Tell me how to do 598 X 5. I tried but answer not coming. pls explain it...
@kumarsiva5701
598 × 5 = 2990
0598 × 5
2990
● the number underneath 8 is 0 since it is the last digit of the number
● the number underneath 9 is 9 because half of 8 is 4, and since 9 is an odd number, we must add 5 to 4 = 9
● the number underneath 5 is 9 since half of 9 is 4.5 However, we must ignore the .5
And since 5 is an odd number, we must add 5 to 4 = 9
● lastly the number underneath 0 is 2 since half of 5 is 2.5 and we will ignore the .5

Thank you for helping me learn faster and easier. I'm thankful you are on YT.
❤Thanku bhaiya, I have been finding a alternative of tables. Now I am in 9th standard but I have problem in remembering the tables thanks 🙏 alot bro pls continue this series. You are contributing to students who have difficulty in math who don't like math due to its calculations(tables).
Omg Sir this is really work for me.Thank You Sir 🎉
Hey I am very happy to see you again sir. Being a 10th grade student I love your videos
Same 😊😊
Sir please make video. On division and sir we can do questions like 22797×55555 or not please
Thank you! I was not passing math last year... this year you have helped me get A's!!
Please make more videos which are helpful in competitive exams 🙏🏻
( basic maths & reasoning)
sure ! this method is also very useful for competitive exams!
this video really helped me!
More videos of mental multiplication please
Cool bro thamks
Thankyou ❤😊
Can you make more of this type of videos
Nice video sir
I looked at the number and thought what system would I make up to Multiply by 5. I just added 0 to the right and then 1/2 the number. This is just easier math to me. The 0 to multiply by 10 and 5 is 1/2 that. If the number is odd you 1/2 the number and add 5 to the number to the right.
So when he explained it, it seemed similar to what I just figured out. Never really thought about it before this though. Going to have to think about the others and learn the system. :)
Your video are Amazing👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much, I was able to understand well :)
Waiting for more of this series
Thank u sir part 2 plz

Waiting for part 2
Thanks ❤ sir
All izzz welll!!!
Excellent lesson, thank you 👌👍
Sir before moving forward I would like to say that 1 is also odd number but why you didn't add 5 where as you add 5 with 3 . Explain it to me make me out of doubt sir 🤔🙏😊.
Thanks so much!

very very interesting!
Thank you sir! ❤
5:28 half of '3' is '1', 1 is an odd Number, why don't you add 5 ?
Because 4 isn't odd,not one
@@Baldingkitty ooh so it depends on the neighbor thanks my man I was not able to make sense of it
Very helpful
Thank you, does a pattern develop? I was surprised there were methods for 11 and 12 rather than extending the methods for 1-9 to 2-digit numbers.
Came because of Mary Adler
Stayed for MathOGenius
Nice
Thanks
Really helpful, make more videos thank you.
Is there part 2 ?

thanks for calculation ..got it ..thankyou! ..just was watching gifted ...hahahha
Can you pls share us a study routine 😊
Explanation is great. But i didn't understand one thing. How could the Trachtenberg method work in muliplication of 5, with 793 × 5?
As per the rule, the neighbour of 3 is zero. But how did 5 appear in the ones place? Can you please explain? 👍
I think it's because he meant that +5 if the number (3) is odd
He didn't mean that +5 if the neighbor is odd
Because 3 is odd he added 5 to 0
Tq bro@@timeforsoul7776
Lower ceiling = half
math
The last question you told to do ourselves pls can you solve and show it
Can we count it from the front ?
If i count number with mind and count it from behind sometimes it confusing to rearrange the number
7:28 zero is not a even number..it depends upon where it comes, that decides whether it is odd or even.
it is tho, the definirion of an even number is that it can be written as 2×n,n being a natural number, 0 is a natural number so 2×0=0 means 0 is even but being odd means the number can be written as 2n+1 wich 0 cannot be written as if n is a natural number
Thank You So Much Sir, It Helps Me A Lot
We will become calculator with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️
multipilcation with 6 is most confusing sir!
Plz make a video on division techniques to solve data interpretation questions
How do u do 17 * 11
He says the keys are universal. There aren't special rules for each specific number, then shows us a bunch of special rules for each specific number 🤔
Great question!
in a previous video in one eg multiply 54x56 very fast but with a condition that starting numbers are same and ending digits add to 10. but for this method there are no conditions like that. if you remember a key for specific number then you can multiply any number with that. its like a table for that number.
Thank u so much ❤@@mathOgenius
I’ve been knowing this 😭 I thought it was something different
Half of 3 is 1, 5 is 2, 7 is 3, 9 is 4
And what's the half of 1, how do we write it in this method?
8379 * 5 = 41895. I,m stuck at 8. Please let me know how can I get 41 to complete the calc?
793 * 5 = 3965, again the same problem...
You are highly appreciated for the efforts you put in to educate us. 🙏❤🧡❤🙏
1/2 of 3 =1 (8 - even -> no additional 5) and 1/2 of 8 = 4 (0 - also even so no additional 5),
the same for the second number
Bro make more videos
793x3=. 3965
Why don’t schools teach this
I agree but is it cuz their not that smart
I agree
Have you ever heard about Vedic Math?
One day I will get marked
Lol
I did the thumbnail in 6 seconds with regular arithmetic on paper,
And I'm not even fast at math unlike my father that does big digits easily in his head fast
Very slow having to add zeros and unnecessary steps.
IMO
9:15 is it +5 because 1 is odd or (1 x 2)+1=3, 3 is odd?????
This is so cool!
WOW
I dislike when people try to reinent the wheel only to make it more complicated and longer or harder/more complicated

@9:36 8 is even, then why add 5?
Because the starting number that is 3 is uneven Because number means the start in here, dude I am 12 step up your game

Wow
I know everyone here knew about this from GIFTED movie
Create link for US shopping too so you can earn from that as well
So how did the 3 came to the neighbour of 2 and 6 ??( Sorry for my English)
Half of the number 6is 3
Sir pls explain how this rule they had formed like "Add a neighbour " to multiply with 11
598 X 5 is not working with that method. Any explanation?
