*Multiplication 5*
● when using the trachtenberg method, we start from the last digit, working our way towards the first. So from right to left
● the digit underneath will be half the number to the right ➡️
EG :
026 × 5
130
1) underneath 6 there is 0 since there are no numbers after 6.
2) underneath 2 there is 3 since half of 6 = 3
- it is important to note that in front of every number, there is an zero, and underneath the zero will be half of the first digit.
- In this case there is 1 underneath 0 since half of 2 = 1
● if the original (top) number is odd, then add 5 to the value you get after halving the number to the right
《Example》
036 × 5
180
1) here, the number under under 3 is 8. This is because half of 6 is 3, and since the original (top) number is odd, we add 5 to the half, so 3+5=8.
● it is important to remember that the half of odd numbers will not end in .5, instead we will ignore it and just use the first digit.
In this case, underneath 0 is 1, since half of 3 is actually 1.5 and we have ignored the .5
*Multiplication 6*
● underneath each number, will be the original (top) value + add half of the number to its right
《Example》
026 × 6
156
- underneath the 6, there will be a 6 and nothing else since there is no other value next to the top 6
- underneath 2, there is a 5 since we halfed 6 which = 3 and added it to the original top number which is 3+2=5
- underneath 0 there is a 1 since half of 2 = 1 and 1+0=1
● if the top digit is an odd number, then we'll do the same exact thing, however we will add an additional 5 to it.
《Example》
036 × 6
2•16
1) underneath 6 there is a 6 since there is no neighbouring digit
2) underneath 3 there is •1, this is because half of 6 is 3 so 3+3=6 then we add the additional 5 which is 6+5=11
since 11 is a two digit number, we will use the unit number and next to it we'll put a dot to represent the extra tens.
3) underneath 0 there is a 2 since half of 3 is 1 and we added the extra ten from the last digit, so 1+1=2
*Multiplication 7*
● underneath the top number, we will double the top value, then add half of the neighbouring number
《Example》
026 × 7
18•2
- underneath 6 there is a •2 which basically represents 12. This is because we double 6 which = 12 and added 0 since there is nothing next to it.
- underneath 2 there is an 8, since 2×2=4 and half of 6 = 3 so 4+3=7. Then we added the extra 10 on which is 7+1=8
- underneath 0 is 1 since 0×2=0 and half of 2=1
● just like before, if the top digit is an odd number, we will do the same thing but add an additional 5
《Example》
036 × 7
2•5•2
1) underneath 6 there is •2 since 2×6=12
2) underneath 3 there is •5, since 3×2=6 add half of 6 which is 3, so 6+3=9
Then we add the additional 5 which is 9+5=14 and then add the extra ten 14+1=15
3) underneath 0 there is a 2, since half of 3 is 1 add the extra 10 1+1=2
*Multiplication 11*
● underneath the digit, add the neighbouring number to the top value
《Example》
026 × 11
286
1) underneath 6 is 6, since there's nothing next to 6
2) underneath 2 is 8 since 6 is the neighbouring digit so 2+6=8
3) underneath 0 is 2 since 2 is the neighbouring digit
Exercise : practice Multiplication 6
0827 × 6
496•2 ✅️
* Remember to carry the ten over
0792 × 6
4•7•52 ✅️
01927 × 6
1•1•56•2 ✅️
071930 × 6
4•3•1•580 ✅️
Thanks urs is much simpler to understand 😂

Thank you sir! ❤
More videos of mental multiplication please
❤Thanku bhaiya, I have been finding a alternative of tables. Now I am in 9th standard but I have problem in remembering the tables thanks 🙏 alot bro pls continue this series. You are contributing to students who have difficulty in math who don't like math due to its calculations(tables).
Thank You Very Much Bro Advanced Happy 400k 🎉🎉
Thank you for this lesson...it helps me a lot even during i have a hard time calculating..Hoping for more math videos
Waiting for more of this series
Can we count it from the front ?
If i count number with mind and count it from behind sometimes it confusing to rearrange the number
Sir please make video. On division and sir we can do questions like 22797×55555 or not please
Really helpful, make more videos thank you.
Can you make more of this type of videos
Thank you! I was not passing math last year... this year you have helped me get A's!!
Thank You So Much Sir, It Helps Me A Lot
Part 2 please
Waiting for part 2
Thanks
Welcome
Please make more videos which are helpful in competitive exams 🙏🏻
( basic maths & reasoning)
sure ! this method is also very useful for competitive exams!
He says the keys are universal. There aren't special rules for each specific number, then shows us a bunch of special rules for each specific number 🤔
Great question!
in a previous video in one eg multiply 54x56 very fast but with a condition that starting numbers are same and ending digits add to 10. but for this method there are no conditions like that. if you remember a key for specific number then you can multiply any number with that. its like a table for that number.
Nice
Thanks
Thank you, does a pattern develop? I was surprised there were methods for 11 and 12 rather than extending the methods for 1-9 to 2-digit numbers.
WOW
Sir before moving forward I would like to say that 1 is also odd number but why you didn't add 5 where as you add 5 with 3 . Explain it to me make me out of doubt sir 🤔🙏😊.
9:15 is it +5 because 1 is odd or (1 x 2)+1=3, 3 is odd?????
This is so cool!
Is there part 2 ?
Video for balance number bro
Can you pls share us a study routine 😊
can you make a video on easy squares
till 100
Wow
multipilcation with 6 is most confusing sir!
So how did the 3 came to the neighbour of 2 and 6 ??( Sorry for my English)
❤
Bro make more videos
Plz make a video on division techniques to solve data interpretation questions
I’ve been knowing this 😭 I thought it was something different
How to do 498×5
"🅿️ℹ️N"❓ 🅿️LE🅰️SE❓
We will become calculator with this one 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Sir pls explain how this rule they had formed like "Add a neighbour " to multiply with 11
5:28 half of '3' is '1', 1 is an odd Number, why don't you add 5 ?
Because 4 isn't odd,not one
Very nicely explained ❤
wonderful
8379 * 5 = 41895. I,m stuck at 8. Please let me know how can I get 41 to complete the calc?
793 * 5 = 3965, again the same problem...
You are highly appreciated for the efforts you put in to educate us. 🙏❤🧡❤🙏
1/2 of 3 =1 (8 - even -> no additional 5) and 1/2 of 8 = 4 (0 - also even so no additional 5),
the same for the second number
math
One day I will get marked
i just do x10 :2
Bruh he's an human calculator just like me don't you know ²2 or ³3
Riddle-what is a horse living in the next door?
smart pants
@9:36 8 is even, then why add 5?
Because the starting number that is 3 is uneven Because number means the start in here, dude I am 12 step up your game
Why dont school teach this to us

Why don’t schools teach this
I agree but is it cuz their not that smart
I agree
Yea..... no. This seems 10,000,000x harder than just basic standard problem solving... I prefer the Japanese method because it can be done with an image which can be mentally visualized
Can you plz drop the link of the video
@@RamBahadur-je6iw Links are usually banned in all comment sections, :3 but just youtube search, "japanese math technique" you know you've found the right videos when you see images of crosshatch sections.
i dont get it
ya same here the odd no. are confusing
Can you tell me which one
you’re cute
