I wasn’t expecting to watch this whole video but listening to Sebastian explain the manufacturing and engineering processes had me locked in. Very interesting and I love the passion he has for innovation.
"Where in Germany are you?" [exacting German answer] "...I have no idea where that is" That interaction pretty much sums up my entire career working with Germans in the Automotive sector.
So refreshing when someone like Matt talks to an engineer that is passionate about his product and has real answers to the questions not just from a marketing perspective.
Iam so honored for feedbacks like this because this is what keeps us going on. Was great to talk to Matt aswell, cause he has some real good knowledge about what's working well in the market for the enthusiastic and pro section
@@sebastianschafer_LE how can I get in touch with you? I have a couple of questions regarding the polishers and the company. Thank you qhat an amazing video very informative.
For sure one of the better videos that I have seen on here. Informative, honest and enthusiastic group just having an open conversation about something we are all passionate about. Love it!
Great video Matt! Having Sebastian and Demo here and telling their journey into building polisher's, polishes, and microfiber's was incredible. These guys are industry disrupters! Huge respect for their business passion and philosophy on how they run it. This might be entry level products but you may pay more but you are not getting a better machine. To the polishing industry out there it's game on! Wishing you guys great success! This is also a great partnership with Matt. Sales will be crazy!
Thanks Chris. Yes we think this joint venture will be a great success. I’m happy that you liked the podcast. We’re not here to take on the whole industry, but we’re not saying no. 😂
This was so interesting and entertaining. I have watched it through 3 or 4 times because I so enjoy listening to Sebastian talk about his business. He is so passionate, tireless and creative in developing and continually improving quality products while keeping them at a reasonable price. And he obviously cares about the quality of life of his partners and employees. This is capitalism at its finest!
Wow! What an insight into what goes into getting a polisher (or really any product) to market. All the different decisions on parts, pieces, materials, design. Mind blown 🤯
Please don't get rid of the duck bill handle. At least keep it as an option. I prefer to have multiple methods of hold on a machine like this, and the duck bill give uou that. Especially on a larger machine, when you're working on vertical or angled surfaces, or having to stretch over roofs, the duck bill comes in super handy.
Thanks Matt for having the Liquid Elements guys on and providing such an incredible in-depth review. This T4000 5inch makes sense for guys like me who routinely polish once a year on multiple personal vehicles. I plan to purchase one 👍
So true, appreciate your feedback to the video. But knowledge is also a tool which guys who got it should use to improve things by purpose. This is what liquid elements and obsessed garage got in common.
All I can say is WOW! I've watched a ton of videos on products etc. It's comforting to know that this guy wasn't there to sell a product. He sold his passion. To me that says a lot if that makes sense. The end result, he hopes he provides a viable product to us, the consumer. Feedback from both Matt, and the other gentleman, as a end user, I'd say yeah I'd give it a go. Great video Matt. I want more of this.
This was amazing!! Well done, I am definitely going to try this polisher out. This gentleman was on point with all his information & explanations. Thank you for always leading the way with great products, information and showing us all great options.
Awesome interview, very interesting to listen to the engineer describe the behind-the-scenes process to bring this tool from an idea to something you can buff out a car with. Will be following and also checking out this new tool. -Mike Phillips
Thank you for finding these guys, Matt!! Patiently waiting for these polishers to drop. When quality meets price level is when everyone can win. I'm still waiting on m&m's cinnamon roll review show, btw (lol)
Oof...basically unless you're dying for a polisher today, or you don't care about your budget...definitely hold off for version 2 of the 15mm. I'm a DIY detailer, but even in my case I already have 4 polishers (20mm 5", 9mm 5", 8mm forced 5", and a 8mm 3"/2"). I like to buy the best tool I can get for the money I can spend at the time. This video basically forces me to wait for the version 2 of the 15mm at least. I would hate myself if I bought the v1, knowing there's an improved version coming around the corner.
Great interview you can see matts brain working all the time lol. And how good is it he’s literally got the power to change that company’s life because we all listen to him and trust his judgment
Thanks, this to me is also the way we love to do things in life not only in business. All of le crew who attended the meeting had the same impression, absolute nice people st obsessed garage.
These guys are super legit. Holy crap. Also Matt, definitely swap out the grease in your Milwaukee. It's worth it. Runs cooler and should be more quiet.
Taking 37.5 minutes and some change (at 2X speed) of my time to watch a video is not something I do with my time often. A little ADD, and a lot simple time management. You find out in the first minute if you will give something another minute. The video earned my minutes until it was over……it is that good and engaging. Well done. I will buy one of the polishers just because.
Very excited. Picked up one of each. Already have rupes and Milwaukee. I think are going to be ideal for me. Will grab a few more when V2 is out, the detachable cord is the thing I’ve been hoping for. When my rupes break it’s always bc of the cord.
Excited for one of these. Trying to get one ASAP. Biggest difference I've seen between the two models is detachable power cord and a little more torque.
Another great video and thanks for sharing all this information. I am for sure interested in these polishers. Look forward to when they become available for purchase at the OG 👍!
Loved the Liquid Element Brain Talk👀👍. It was invigorating, enlightening; especially when it comes to how business is done. Thank you for this deep dive discussion Matt.🫡
Epic conversation! We need more of these. As a consumer I take so many things for granted but I see the point which makes me appreciate the Whys and Hows in a much better way! Being a business owner and a manufacturer of packaged goods myself, I now can relate so much to all the challenges that are part of the hustle. But such honest value able conversations is the reason why I love your channel Matt. Hope someday I will get you to try my product too (which is not detailing related at all) and get your critical opinion on it. 😊
I really appreciated this video discussion a lot. You can usually tell when someone is enthusiastic about all the details that they are proud of their accomplishments and want to share them to the world. He wasn't wrong about the cost of R&D, from a thermoforming standpoint our company typically can have one aluminum mold/die usually in the ranges of 3 to 8 grand producing one single part and this doesn't include the material cost that is involved to actually build the part.
So is this still coming to your site? You said soon, real soon and it's still not there. Also, will you be getting the 15 and the 21 with 5 inch backing plates? Or did this turn out not to be very good?
Conversations like this convince me to buy the product more, than the marketing. Matt thank you for your job. First I thought you are some sort of parasite, the guy that just wants easy money. Thank you for bringing in great budget friendly products for average, normal, young people like me.
Matt - Thanks for showing the faces behind these products. Sebastian seems like a solid guy. I pre-ordered an Active 2.0 after your video with James; cant wait to do the same with the T4000.
Also as far as the tool’s “handshake”, look at Milwaukee’s routers and the way they are ergonomically curved to fit the grip of the human hand. It’s the feature that most users point out as what sets it advantageously apart from their competitors.
I have known sebastian for about a decade and a half or maybe two, he is a great guy and very smart. i"ve always liked his brand and i am about to test his machines but already carry his pads and his pad prime is great. The scent is amazing. Try his green centriforce pad, the best of the range for me. Most big brands are just great marketers whose products often are no better than anyone elses, your paying for their marketing budget though there are some exceptions. Glass fiber reinforced tool bodies european manufacturers have used for yonks.
They should make a counterbalanced stabilizing harness like a steadicam jr. You could click lock it into its cradle for use and unsnap it to put the polisher down. That way the power tool is essentially weightless to the user and a magnitude more controllable.
We are excited to finally lunch the products here in the US. Quality mustn’t be always expensive. We are here to prove that theory. I hope you become a valued customer!
This is Owen from Atlanta. Will their polishers that you’ll be carrying ever be available cordless battery powered? Similar to the rupes other the Milwaukee
So for me, I've been talking about the Liquid Elements T4000 V2 MK1 polisher for years. And honestly, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world for a Rupes for example! I had the opportunity to compare my T4000 against this direct competitor from Rupes of a friend, and wow the T4000 is less noisy, less vibration and incredible performance. Even the friend in question started to wonder if he wasn't going to buy a T4000 😁 . But strangely at the time I was made fun of and some swore only by Rupes on social networks. Why pay more than double the price when the T4000 is superbly finished, very good quality of materials and assembly....

may not be an interest on their part. but I would like to see a much better cordless rotary polisher. One that will go down to 600 rpm. Lighter weight than the Milwaukee. I am interest in their nano and the 3 inch nano looking one to market.
