There are some good ideas and elements in some of these games and even though they show similarity with other games, they still made with passion. Just passion doesn’t make a game automatically a good game of course, The Mummy Pharaoh for one is just all over the place, even though the basic idea (hunting for treasures while avoiding traps and killing enemies) isn’t bad.
Creativity is great, it really is… but, there’s a reason why like all games have controllable cameras these days, so you can you know, see wtf is going in. the map in that first one is custom made - sort of. I recognise the style and assets used as that of the Inkarnate map builder: the gamedev would have made the map themselves, but the assets and styling are all default by the looks of it.
Riot of Willy seemed was bordering on satire with how often I audibly laughed at it, especially the very low energy "oh shit theres monsters in this house" at 13:20 sounded like a delivery straight out of rick and morty.
Some of these are... attempts... at making a game, for sure. some of these are reminiscent of afraid of monsters and fatal frame, concerning their darkness and utilization of ghosts. Some are obviously silent hill inspired.

I like that in third game you find books to summon Oriental ghosts, and not Oriental books to summon ghosts, implying that If you want to summon a guy that died in Japan you have to do a specific ritual
Hospital 9 gave me horrible flashbacks of a game I played a long time ago... I can't remember what it was called but it was a horror game where you had a girl following you around that you were supposed to keep safe but they made it where not only could she be killed by the monsters but you could kill her too (resulting in a game over~) I don't think I ever beat that game because I'd always end up shooting her cause she'd teleport in front of a door I just opened and scare the shit out of me :(
I have to admit, I got a tad attached to Rina by the end. Man, I've seen a lot of the stupid yellow/sepia filter used to designate that you're in Mexico or an unnamed country in SWANA, but the last game might be the most egregious I've seen. Anyway, I'm new to the channel and thought this video was great! I love getting to see these micro-indie games that I never would've heard of otherwise, and sometimes there's even some real gems (I'll be keeping my eye on FolcDark for sure!) and your commentary was really funny. I also appreciate you giving these games a fair shake and legitimate criticism, I think people tend to be quite harsh on projects like these. I'm definitely subbing and I look forward to watching more of your videos!

Cruelty Squad exists, so extremely colorful games surely have a market. And it touches brazilian mythology, something not seen in games.
They really just need to polish all the jank, that's all it needs. Honestly it can be an enjoyable game
A lot is 2 words
@@themug406 i don't care
@@usbgamers123 i agree.
the solo dev is clearly competent. no gamebreaking bugs, consistent and surprisingly good visual design, good controls and reasonably solid combat.
It doesn't seem like they're particularly experienced, but they definitely know what they're doing and how to make a game, and are clearly passionate as well.
some polish and shine and the dev has got a pretty decent game. I find myself interested in a game Wiz has showcased for a reason that's actually convinced me to keep an eye on the game.
why does hospital 9 look like a goddamn fallout 4 horror mod?
Every time you mention some information that we've literally just seen ourselves, it reminds me of when Peter learned that Eivel Kneivel was born in Montana 😆
The unalive sound effect in The Mummy Pharaoh is stock sound effect that was bundled with The Games Factory which you could use to make terrible games for windows 98. I would use this sound effect a lot, brings me back.
Also, have to give credit to Riot of Willy, being turned into a monster is my actual fear.
Hmm mines old age
@@fordshojoe8080same thing! 😂
just say the death sound effect
the first game felt like a school project and, as a Brazilian, I've been seen some of those already
Gotta give Folcdark some props, that's a nice representation of the Mapinguari.
Is that Still Doll from Vampire Knight, playing from that music box in Riot of Willy?
Just found you this morning from recommendations, and I binged most of your videos already. Thank you for the entertainment.
Idk why, but I'm RLY digging that "sprint" animation in the 1st game... 🤷😆
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite TH-cam channels
I check my Steam Discovery Queue generally everyday and this is the kind of garbage I get served up constantly, so thank you for this
Wiz didn't want to give Rina the axe, but he gave her the bullet.
I can’t believe the third game friendzones you in the tutorial!
Mate you need to make some more of these!! Being a British Canadian and watching your content makes me more proud to be apart of your channel!! Cheers from a Brit in Canada!!
the map in that first one is custom made - sort of. I recognise the style and assets used as that of the Inkarnate map builder: the gamedev would have made the map themselves, but the assets and styling are all default by the looks of it.
I like how the lady in The Inner Demons is wearing a red latex top
I’m sure any game on this channel would be spooky, even if they are not spooky themed…
Why are these games so spook ah? I was not expecting this.
The inner demons camera, bro obviously never played any PS1 horror games.
What a delight Folcdark was huh! I'm enamoured, will definitely be following that. Shame it was followed by Riot of Willy...
thx man ! i had a lot of work in FolcDark, and I am yet working it, i stay very happy to see many people appreciate my game
and we love you Wiz, dont stop making content!
That yellow overlay in the Mummy Pharaoh would set my migraines in a tailspin for a month. Kudos to getting through that because what an eyesore.
I've come to really enjoy your videos my dude. IDK why but they take me back to feeling like a kid. I appreciate what ya do my dude. Thanks Wiz
lol, the inner demons dev has no idea how to make characters rotate based on camera orientation so he made the absolute movement a puzzle itself.
Damn, that Serious Sam remake is looking really good!
BRAZIL MENTIONED!!! always love my country mates' creations appearing on people from other countries videos
the headless horse is called Mula sem cabeça (or headless mule) btw
Babe wake up, another Wicked Wizard upload!
Honestly, if the first one did something with the camera in combat, for a showcase, it would be pretty darn decent.
Steam truly is the spookiest of storefronts. It’s like a digital Spirit Halloween.
To be fair you have to go searching for the trash and at least it doesn't have NFT scam games like the Epic store.
YOU_DID
*enable applause*
*claps*
Its that one song!! The song that goes beep boop boop beep boop bop.
OMFG all of Wiz interactions with Rina had me ROTFL!!! 😂 bravo, good sir 👏
14:30, a stock sound in FL Studio, I love hearing old sounds being used, its the ghost voice sound.
This was a good time man!
So he wouldn't axe her but he was willing to put a extra hole in her head.
riot of willy has to be satire i refuse to believe its serious
Wiz going "oh wow there's actually some kinda mechanics here!" with genuine surprise made me laugh, it really says something about how low the bar is
This guy is now my new favorite british youtuber!
Therapist: It's alright. Gorilla Wiz doesn't exist. He can't hurt you.
Gorilla Wiz: 44:27
"Don't you run from me, you spook bitch" - Wicked Wiz 😂
No hyper-intelligent hedonist shape-shifting dolphins, 0/10.
7:20 i Know exactly what programm this map was made with

Welcome to Mexico!
This is Good. Love these kinds of vids.
I like that in third game you find books to summon Oriental ghosts, and not Oriental books to summon ghosts, implying that If you want to summon a guy that died in Japan you have to do a specific ritual
Well im super happy. Wiz being critical and insightful is the best. 💜🖤💜🖤
XD the death yell in the last game!
Bouncy arrows is the most baffling design decision I've seen in a good while.
Hospital 9 gave me horrible flashbacks of a game I played a long time ago... I can't remember what it was called but it was a horror game where you had a girl following you around that you were supposed to keep safe but they made it where not only could she be killed by the monsters but you could kill her too (resulting in a game over~)
I don't think I ever beat that game because I'd always end up shooting her cause she'd teleport in front of a door I just opened and scare the shit out of me :(
I have to admit, I got a tad attached to Rina by the end.
We all would joke the camera is working against you, but I think it actually was in that “Cinematic” camera game.
I just learned of Brazilian folklore from a close friend and seeing that first game felt like fate
11:57 - Is that cut scene a capture of Slender? Everyone remembers that game right? Where you wonder around in the woods and collect pages attached to trees.
Watching hospital 9 part... new headcanon... you aren't shooting ghosts/zombies but actual security guards trying to keep you from escaping an insane asylum...
Inner demons... semi-unique mechanic? That's old school camera system like resident evil for instance...
