This just gets better and better everytime I listen to it. I want it to go on Forever. After time one can imagine Ritchie and Jon jamming on it forever and ever taking it in turns to weave their Genius on it. To me that's a nice thought.
I saw Deep Purple several times . The best gig was in Newcastle NSW Australia . We had great seats looking down at the band , from their left . Jon had these MASSIVE Leslie speakers , they must have been custom made , sounded great .
I was very fortunate to have seen the original DP lineup back around 1970 as well as 1973 (The year they broke up, had a lineup change). I had no doubts that Blackmore is still a great guitarist in 2013.
Such a beautiful tune. After Deep Purple's tribute to Jon some weeks ago I was really exited to listen to Ritche's tribute. What can I say? Two awesome songs and I'm sure Jon is smiling when he listens to this masterpiece. Thanks for this great upload :)
Amen to a great Hammond B3 wizard. He will be missed by many again and again. Jon Lord is again with the Lord of all Lords peace always be with you and your memory's will live on forever. Amen.
Wonderful piece of music ritchie amazing feel in those notes such emotion for jons loss, first saw jon april 74 with purple kings hall manchester, every tour he gave a brilliant performance and i had the honour of speaking and getting the great mans autograph after a gig at liverpool empire in 2002 sadly missed maestro.
Sincerely impresive. Blackmore´s guitar has an enormous feeling, imposible to be repeated. He´s way better than any other guitarist that puts 1000 notes in a second. Nice tribute, has sent shivers down my spine
Ritchie scores a home run on this on, Tom. Brilliant tribute to Jon. I have listened to this for the umpteenth time, and like Jon Miller commented, it just gets better and better each time. Janis, Singapore
Yes indeed my friend, I love it! I could see them live only twice, when they toured Brasil in 1990 with Joe Turner and in 1997 with Gillan, but no more Blackmore... Oh hell, once a DP fan, always a DP fan, right? But these 5 guys -Gillan, Blackmore, Paice, Glover and Lord.... oh "lord"... it was pure magic... :))
Let the God forgive Jon Lord his star in the musical firmament never ugsne and his songs will always sound and song "Child in Time" will always be one of the most listened to his songs where his fingers seemed to roll over the keys I love him and bow before him
I just have to say : THANK YOU TOM ! You have done a real good job on that video. The pictures choice is perfect. There are many photos that I never saw before. Beautiful testimony. Thumb up. A bientot Jean-luc ; )

Ritchie still got the blues.
So sad, great work by the master Blackmore
You gave me so much, thanks JOHN LORD.
This just gets better and better everytime I listen to it. I want it to go on Forever.
