For me I’ve been using the katana because the shotgun’s final upgrade removes its anti swarm capabilities which can really mess you up, even with the dps it provides otherwise. For bosses I mostly just have a few set skills I always use like the drones with the tech for homing on them, and it clears bosses fast at fair distance

When evolved into the Demon Blade, it can truly become an overpowered weapon if combined with the Hi-Power-Bullet. But I respect your opinion, just wanted to throw mine in here too :)
I played with Katana since the beginning till chapter 28 but my advice is not to upgrade it to epic or legendary until you try the other weapons. I'm using the light chaser and currently trying to get the void power from the event and both of them are waaaaaaaaaay better than the Katana
the shotgun is the best weapon hands down. after evolution all you need to do is spin around to deal mass damage and for mini bosses or bosses you can focus all of your power onto it without losing efficiency. plus if you get surrounded you can just run in a straight line on most map layouts and not get hit at all while killing all of the monsters in front. It was much better to use the shotgun than even the baseball bat and when i switched it felt like i wasnt gettign damaged nearly as much.
Shotgun > Revolver it can hit multiple targets when it's not evolved yet. And when it evolved, it deals against mobs & elites better than Revolver. Because you can open your way out of the crowds and inflicts crazy damage against elites. It's also easier to use than Revolver

Would you still rank the bat in S tier if it’s only excellent/purple? I feel like the range is so short and without the circular swing it’s challenging to use. Plus on difficult chapters it’s VERY tough for bosses. I guess you HAVE to build some skills for boss damage with the bat like lightning and the arrow thing
I would like to use the bat but I don't see the appeal of it before making it legendary (red). For now it's Kunai for me until I can get a red bat (i.e. 6 excellent bats)
I like the thinking behind this and have tested it many time before when kill farming. The shotgun and katana are able to hit more target off the screen though netting more kill.
Most people rank it last. It's very hard to use but a huge damage getter... may rank it lower in the future but it has been able to compete with the kunai in ee.
I can hardly stand the game anymore. The randomizer is NOT random. It will literally intentionally give crap upgrades over and over until you get over run. It ruins the entire game tbh. Its disgusting.

Well I got to chapter 49 with kunai 😅 I'm kinda struggling rn but I might get to 50 . It's starting to be very hard

Main problem with baseball bat is that it requires a huge investment to get to Red for the circular swings :(

I missed out on the light chaser when they gave new users 7 days to complete missions to claim the weapon. I just wasn't dedicated enough.

Kunai is only good in waves if you pair it with yellow or red Light Runners since you get a permanent +20% attack boost lol
Katana is OP if your set is all Radiation

Void power will follow strong enemies/bosses, too. A pretty important point.
You should try the katana with durian fruit and the HE fuel that will make the blade waves hit everything on the vertical maps

And ad the final evo, the catana have the heal with damage + de red add a 25% more heal probably A, the perfect for starters

It's up to you. What do you feel more comfortable using? I'd personally go with the bat, it's fun. But, the Kunai is a great choice too.
Kunai is good for killing bosses because you can kite the boss. Evolved baseball bat is good at clearing mobs.
