  • This is my (Thomas Gunther) advanced solo piano arrangement of the popular Christmas song Jungle Bells. It feature elements from jazz, blues and pop piano styles. I recommend it for intermediate to advanced pianists that like a challenge. It features a stride piano like left hand accompaniment that is less suited for small hands.
You can pick up a copy of the sheet music at PopJazzKeys.com/Jingle-Bells.

Great arrangement. If only I had a left hand that could stretch like that :-(

I know that there are some amazing stride piano players with small hands. They roll the chords really fast. It has its own charm actually. I sometimes do it just to get this sound. Maybe you can experiment with this a little. Thanks for the complement!

Hello dear, I just discovered your channel and what you do is really very good, thank you for it. You know, I wanted to ask you: How to replace the chords in tenths (eg: Eb g) for those of us who do not reach that type of tenths (Db - Eb - Bb - D - A). Thank you so much!

Very good questing about the 10ths in the left hand. I saw pianists with very small hands play them by using a combination pf rolling them up from the low to the high note while pressing the sustain pedal. Ind fact, this is an effect that some pianists with big hands even use to simulate a guitar strumming effect. I think I will do a video on this. Thanks for asking!

Put the whole thing in swing and take out straight and it would be better

Well, this would completely negate the uniqueness of the arrangement, wouldn't it? We all have different taste and ideas. It is what makes arranging music so exiting. Please send me your version as soon as you have recorded it. I'd love to hear it! Cheers!

Sure. I just felt like doing something different. And I like it this way. Everyone's taste is different. Cheers!
