So does the ten pin in the mirror hub make it so you can use parking mode? I have the same truck and want to use the park8ng m9nitor for when I’m away.
the ten pin powering the rear view WILL NOT allow you to use parking mode. that particular connection has its power terminated automatically when the vehicle is turned off. in order to use parking mode, you need an alternate method or hard wiring, like the Vantrue fuse tap kit in the links above. that particular product has a low voltage protection that will kill power to the camera automatically if your battery voltage drops too low. basically, that voltage protection kills the dash cam power when your battery drops to 11.6V (for a 12V system, like a regular car or pick-up truck), so it doesn't kill the battery and prevent you from being able to start it the vehicle.
@@d0cbaggadonuts402 That's too bad, I want the camera for when I'm away and that looks like a real easy access point. I have the hard wire kit so I guess I'll have to find someplace else to wire it. Thanks
Ok to follow up, even the hardwire kit doesn’t help because there is no fuse box inside the ram 2500. It is in the engine bay so you have to drill through the firewall and I don’t feel like doing that. Do you have the link to Amazon for that dongar? There’s several different ones and I don’t want to get the wrong one. Thanks
Clean install. Nice watch too 🙂
Ty. I just watched your Pam 683 vid. I'm dying to snag a Pam 719.
Very ingenious!!

I would mount it where you can see it.
