Why Your Scales Aren't Sticking!

- In this video, we dive into why people struggle with learning their major scales on the saxophone. Often, scales feel abstract and disconnected from practical playing, which makes them hard to stick. But the truth is, your brain craves functional, practical, and fun things-not something that feels boring and pointless!
In this tutorial, I show you how to make major scales both fun and relevant, helping you turn what once felt tedious into something useful and engaging. We'll explore ways to make scales feel more connected to the music you want to play, transforming your approach so the major scales stick naturally.
Plus, I’ve created a free PDF guide to help you practice smarter and more effectively. You can download it here: Make Your Major Scales

Yes Yes Yes! As a 64 year old with only 3 years of tenor sax behind me, I have often approached scales and found myself finding more interesting things to do. Along with your triad scales and this video, you have helped me apply and understand the point of it all. Subscribed and bought you a coffee. Thank you Lynden from Australia.
Vic thank you so much! I’m absolutely delighted to hear this and I really appreciate the coffee, thank you 🤝🤝🎷🎷😎😎

Hi lynden, very nice video as always ! I have a need about your reverb setup. As I have the same mixer than you i would like to know the fours orange knobs setup (mic send, effect type, effect variation and effect send to main) ? Thanks a lot .
Hiya, actually for these recordings I’m going through Logic Pro but on your mixer have a look for the FX button and switch the effects section on to large hall 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
Hello Lynden, thanks for your channel. I’m new here and I’m learning from you, thanks. Is it possible to share your mic and sound setup? I’d like to hear what I’m sounding like now that I’m getting a handle on playing my chord/scales from your videos.
Regards, Gary
Thanks Gary, I’m using a Rode NT1A and it’s connected to Logic Pro 🤝🤝😎😎🎷🎷
