These ballerinas out here doing crazy amazing things. Their art is amazing and this is just part of what they do to make it look effortless. Absolutely amazing!
My daughter was a ballet dancer for years and you break them in with your feet inside them. She never did all this. The heat and sweat makes the shoe form to your feet and the box softens as you dance in them.
I think that's why she was putting super glue inside on the toe box, to prevent it softening. I spin yarn with wooden hand spindles and usually I use a dish that the point of the spindle can sit in, but every once in awhile, I drop it and of course it lands on the point. 🤦🏻♀️ So, I have to reshape the point and to keep the point nice and hard, for spinning and future droppage, I dip it in super glue. It soaks into the wood and protects it. I think that was the point she was making by knocking them on the floor. I did take dance as a young girl but was not allowed to do en pointe because my teacher said my bones were too big. (Which was actually not true, I just didn't have the starved blonde look she was after, nor did I come from "moneyed household".) Oh, well.
i’ve watched many pointe shoe break in shorts/videos and this is the first time i’ve seen someone cut that out on the outside! also first time i’ve seen someone label the shoe before breaking them in. interesting how everyone does it different!
Everyones foot is different so even with all the different brands ballerinas have to customize the shoe even more. And professionals do this every 3 days. 3 DAYS. Even more when in performances. Crazy 😅

@@amandah2866 we are a bit mad
I have mad respect towards ballet dancers 🛐🙇🙇
These ballerinas out here doing crazy amazing things. Their art is amazing and this is just part of what they do to make it look effortless. Absolutely amazing!
My daughter was a ballet dancer for years and you break them in with your feet inside them. She never did all this. The heat and sweat makes the shoe form to your feet and the box softens as you dance in them.
Did she do it professionally?
She trained professionally
@@teebee9735 Well she decided to study to be a doctor instead. Whatever works for each dancer is what they need to do I guess.
@@angelrouse4106 - True. I wish her well! I'm sure being a Dr pays way better than dancing too! 👍🏻
i’ve watched many pointe shoe break in shorts/videos and this is the first time i’ve seen someone cut that out on the outside! also first time i’ve seen someone label the shoe before breaking them in. interesting how everyone does it different!
First time I've seen one stitch the side fabric
My first pair had R and L on them...
Was told it so you don't mix them up before they become fully formed to your feet.
I was 6... lol
It's actually really cathartic 😂
“SURELY THEY SHOULD COME LIKE THIS” 😂😂 i was thinking the same lol
Everyones foot is different so even with all the different brands ballerinas have to customize the shoe even more.
And professionals do this every 3 days. 3 DAYS. Even more when in performances.
Crazy 😅
They are dedicated.❤❤❤ Cracked toe nails and all
I've been dancing on half a toe nail for about 3 months! Thanks for the recognition!❤
I never knew this. Mad respect for ballet dancers.
THIS is what Passion looks like❣️
I love this, and I love it when my dancers actually do it right.
Bruh. 😶 Im so f'n impressed. The lengths yo. Get it girl.
Wow! This is an eye-opener 😳! Mad respect for ballet dancers 👏🏻
Kudos to every ballet dancer for dedication to your craft. 😊
The beauty of these ballerina's show why the dedication is real. They do so much to make the dance so amazing and keeping them safe as well....Thank You 🩰🩰💃🏾🕺for your elegance and precision ❤❤
Had to break in marching band shoes so they could bend when you marched. If you didn't it would cause blisters really bad. Dance shoes of any kind HAVE to be broken on for comfort.
I still maintain that ballet is a very hard sport, takes so much work and dedication ❤
“It’s every chiropractor’s dream”
He is hilarious
You have to LOVE this to go thru all that!!
ballet dancers go through so much, our strongest soldiers fr
"Shouldn't they come like this?" I couldn't agree more!
😂😂 idk why but "surely they should come like this" took me out lol
When he said "I could never ", i felt that😂😂😂😂
😂the way he said that effort i could never 😅got me dying 🤣🤣🤣
At the very same second that you said "Surely they should come like this!" I was saying the exact same words in my head.
"Omg the effort, I can never..."
Same here, same..
“Surely they should come like this!” You said it Richard!
Since we got the shoes sorted, Now we need a video of dancers prepping their feet
EVERYBODY IS SO CREATIVE!!!!
Breaking into some new shoes is the best feeling, specially before a show
"Oh my God, the effort" was exactly what was going through my mind as I was watching this 😭
"Oh my God, the effort." Preach.
They are the OG athletes. The hell they go through and discipline they have is wild. ❤
Oh man this brought back bloody heels for months.
His reactions are so funny😭 I’m an ex dancer and this is so normal in the ballet world that sometimes I forget how weird it seems to outsiders lmao. My fave part was always turning the show upside down and stepping on the box, that pop is EVERYTHING
I just like the way your voice sounds
My exact thought too was “Surely they should just come like this!”
“SURELY THEY SHOULD COME LIKE THIS!” - I thought the exact same thing
It’s always so funny to see a mom dancer react to the sheer extent we have to go through with our point shoes
Surely they should come like this LOL each dancer is different
“Surely they should come like this” my thought exactly 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
As a retired dancer, this gave me a big grin, and from the first second I saw her reach for new pointe shoes I shouted out loud LET THE BEATING COMMENCE hahahahaha - your reactions are literally what every one of us felt upon graduating to pointe and learning we had to basically break our shoes and remake them every week. Basically we became twirling cobblers ;)
Seeing & reading the dancer comments makes me appreciate & respect your craft & you as a dancer even more. 💕
I'll be watching Russian Ballet in 2 days time with my daughter. Looking forward to it. I respect ballet dancers for all the hardwork, efforts and pain they had to go through, in looking beautiful and graceful while dancing, all the while, holding in all the pain and suffering through broken/damaged toenails to bring us such amazing performance... ❤❤❤❤
She's so pretty and hardworking...hope to see her dance...
“I could never” was my thought also.
I learned ballet is not for the weak. These girls go through so much pain and effort it is unbelievable.
I could never imagine Richard being a ballerino 😂😂😂😂
Seriously, these dancers are some of the most disciplined people on the planet..so much respect for them.
My daughter was in ballet for a few years and this is so accurate!! 😂
These are so cool to watch! Each dancer personalises their shoes to such specific points that into two dancers are alike and the dancers point shoes are almost like finger prints..
" I could never " 😂
This is why it was nice being in a company. I loved having custom shoes that didn’t require AS much prep
Being a ballerina is a podiatrist worst nightmare. The damage done to the feet by ballerinas are just ouch.
Fr bro😂 the whole time I was just thinking “why don’t they come like this already”
i don't know why but his reactions reminds me of Filly 😂
And that is why Ballerinas go through so many pointe shoes in their career
“It’s a chiropractor’s dream!” had me on the floor 💀💀💀
"surely they should come like this" exactly.
