I appreciate your video. I have a chain conversation for both money pits. Billet baskets also .. on thing that I wanted is a good way to adjust the axle . These chains have come a long way as I hardly ever have to adjust the chain . I think it a x ring chain on both . The cush drive chain conversation. Thank for the advice . I sure did not want to be stuck on the side of the road from a broken belt .
Thanks for the comment. Buying a good quality chain is very important. Ive worked on bikes with BikeMaster chains that need adjusting every couple hundred miles..
just cut the belt off so ya don't have to remove the swing arm ... Plan on looking to do this on my 99 bagger as well....its funny we started out with chain and now we want it back.
Great video man! What gearing did you go with on this one? I´ve got a 22 Road Glide ST with a F35A cam and a bunch of other good stuff. The bike is a bit jerky under 2000 rpm, and as I now want to do the chain conversion I am thinking that I want to do something to the motor sprocket as well to even out that jerkiness down low as good as possible while also gearing for a bit more aggressive acceleration. Got any recommendations? 30T motor sprocket and stock gearing for the rest? 34T motor sprocket instead and adding a few T in the big sprocket? You´re the man! Subbing
Thanks. This bike was stock final drive gearing. Changing the gearing won’t really help jerking below 2000 rpm. That’s more of an engine combination/ tune issue. But most performance cams are going to be jerky below 2k, for the most part. Going with a 30t motor sprocket will raise the engine rpm for a specific speed. That might help jerking at low speeds.
