The love of my life...my first love took me to sed Roberts Flack....to see her sing this song. I never dreamed anyone could rival her redition. He does...bravo.

From the first time he sang this on X-Factor 2010, this 2016 rendition is the best for me. He has improved a lot in his singing skills and techniques that it was almost flawless - emotions, quality of voice, voice techniques. Thank you Matt. So touching, it hits right through the core of your heart and soul.
I have never heard a more beautiful version of this song. It's not just that your voice is so powerful and honest, something beyond words moves through you, and you radiate pure love. My soul got the chills and kept crying Matt. It's almost as if angels were singing with you, and someone I love very much was able to find me, through you; beyond space and time to say "I love you and Thank You". I would bet that anyone who heard you sing felt exactly like I did, in awe.

The raw emotion that Matt puts into this song every time that he sings it is so real and true. This particular performace of it is so emotive with every gesture, pause and facial expression, along with that hauntingly beautiful voice, just about rips my heart right out of my chest. It's so beautiful and sad that it's painful. I can watch it over and over. This particular version of a song that has such special meaning for me personally and also "With You" , with lyrics that with every word resonate, so exactly, lifelong feelings I have had for a "love at first sight" that I had and lost and still love just as deeply to this day and will until the day I die. It's now over 40 years later! You are my tonic on a bad day. Thanks for giving so much of yourself with your music. 🐣💜

Matt Cardle is one of only 2 people that I chose to follow from these "talent" shows. I knew he had angel pipes from the 1st 5 seconds I had his crooning. He is a true talent with raw talent who seduced me to love his beautiful vocals. Angelina Jordan was the other. I hope he keeps singing and keeps his kind, humble spirit. 💜
