To get default mileage follow these steps according to bajaj workshop manual - warm up the engine, set idle screw to 1500 rpm. Then follow, 2.5 turns + or - 2 turns. That means, fully close the AFR screw. then open it at 2.5 turns. 2.5 is default(2 full turns and a half turns) and minus 2 turns mean Your screw position is at 1.5 turns(1 full turns and a half turn). 1.5 is lowest setting silencer gets popping sound(more air, less fuel, less power, 50 plus mileage). Plus 2 turns means 3.5 turns(3 full turns and a half turns)(less air, more fuel, more power, mileage between 40 and 45kmpl depending on your riding). After setting AFR screw, set the idle rpm to 1400 or 1500. Idle rpm is important. I recommend tuning it properly to get correct mileage. Turning the screw more than 3.5 turns will not get more power. You will get maximum power ath 3.5 turns and turning more than that will end up affecting the less fuel efficiency and less mileage.
