How did you put the string on top?

Thank you for your comment Thea😊. When I trim the pot I made a hole on the lid top. It should be big enough for the string after firing.
I fold the string and push the loop from the inside of the lid.
I knot both side to secure the string.
      I hope it helps you.

Your clay is straight, but your bat is wobbly. How is that possible?

My small throwing batt is attached to the wheel top firmly but is is not completely centre because I can not use tap centering. There are 2 pins sticking out on the wheel for securing large throwing batt which get in the way when I do tap centering for small batt. For that reason I place the small batt as center as position by eyes but it is always a bit off center. so when the wheel spin it looks wobbly but it is fixed well so clay can be on the center.
I hope it makes sense, it is hard to explain 😅

@@AlchemyCeramic today I watched someone throwing small cups "off the hump." The hump was VERY wobbly, but her cups at the top were perfectly centered, so apparently it's possible to throw centered pots on a wobbly base.

As long as the part you are going to make a cup is steady and centered, yes wobbly base is not a big issue.
