This album is sick. I know it's miles from Horizons but it really doesn't matter. Early Parkway, new Parkway, they're different but they're both great. It doesn't need to be one vs. the other, we can just love that this great band is still around and still making great music.

Id rather them Evolve away from my interests then just turn out 20 albums that all sound the same. This album has quite frankly changed my life significantly. It helped me to dig deep and find the strength to overcome some heavy challenges while at work. This album has played a vital role in a revitalised me👌
The fact that with the last 2 albums they also introduced classical trained musicians to heavy music and bridge the gaps is awesome and deserves kudos. So definetely worth changing their style to accomplish that. Music should bring people together. The classical arrangements sound awesome by themselves and the accapella choir almost had me in tears. Beautiful.
Darker Still is the Black Album of Parkway Drive. They envolved pretty cool since killing with a Smile. And Darker Still is their Masterpiece. Keep it that Way.

What the song is about, what it's saying. There's alot of meaningful, powerful music out there. just need to give it a try and listen.

Darker Still is such an awesome song. The melodies burnt in my brain when i heard you guys live. And the layers you put together is probably the best composing i heard in a very long time. Pls keep doing those experiments, they sound f***ing amazing. And the orchestration is totaly right, metal can be highly energetic and expressive and very complex on melody. From close to none, to parts that sing themself.
Dude , you guys killed it with this song. So many different styles and vibes in this , in the beginning I hear a Dire Straits type Rift from Brothers in Arms. The whistle is so Like Scorpions Winds of Change, and so much of your style! Drums that make you float , they lift you up, Guitars in your style stand lone. How you added Orchestra too, And your lead singer is walking a path all of his own. Dark is good ! The darker the better! More like Darker Still!
Every orchestral part, seeing that all being tracked, is so mesmerising. Top work all around - to the band & every musician that worked on the record. Stunning efforts all around 🙏
With those choir vocals and that orchestra, I can just imagine the lads being in their own movie where Winston is like a God and the other guys are fallen angels that he has to rescue or something epic as hell
I don’t care what anyone else says I really liked darker still. Plus I got to see you guys live for the first time a couple months ago and it was amazing! It was the first time I’ve been in a crowd where everyone front to back was moshing

Everyone was always talking shit but look how much they put into their album to make sure it’s authentic. They could have done all this on a computer but they made sure it was the real deal. This made me appreciate them so much more
