We saw my man Ronnie Laws at the Vic Theater on Shefield Avenue in Chicago back in the day, the entire audience was screaming Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace, Excellent show 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 great song and memories.
Fever was my 1st Jazz, then Hubert, then Eloise, Jean Carne, but nobody beat Laws to me until I discovered Andre Ward or my absolute favorite Richard Elliot. Guys like Culbertson and Lorber keeps me a Jazz purist. Laws started it all
Kind of feel like Kenny G is a fraud saying his music was his own style. After listening to this which was produced just 4 years prior, it seems rather clear his sound could have come from Ronnie Laws. Not sure to what success Ronnie saw but I know for sure it wasn’t met with the same as Kenny’s.
I haven't heard this in years and it brings back so many memories !! Still sounds good , beautiful music 🎶
Ronnie Laws was my intro to jazz and when this album came out. I fell in love with the saxophone. This album and song takes me back.... thanks
I love Ronnie Laws so much I sing the music!
His Brother is playing the flute under Ronnie’s heavy notes…
