- Evening session freelining bread flake on a local coarse water. Hopefully this video will give you some tips and tricks on how to fish effectively on the hottest days of the year. As well as the set-up I use when surface fishing for carp.

A controller float works really well when surface fishing !
Nice vid.. I remember years ago when people used to use candle floats for surface fishing lol.. fishing dog biscuits Haa .. Good fun when the suns out ... dunno if your into match fishing but the fish omania final is tomoz on sky sports 11.30 😇 can't wait
Genuinely no point is there ! I suppose it would sink the line a bit using a float but I don’t think that matters to much. I will give it a watch buddy thanks for the recommendation 👍🏻👌🏻
@@WestysAngling old fashioned candle floats are slightly different but it's not really the same.. its just so you could get distance, problem is they are semi fixed so if your line breaks at the mainline the fish could be left dragging around your rig. The first one I ever used was a home made one with elastic in it .. made from an actual candle lol.. this was 2005 tho 😂 freeline is a much better option aslong as you can reach the feeding fish. Real good quality videos btw 👍
Many a time, Carp will take loose fed dog biscuits, but will refuse the one with the hook!!, may have a lot to do the difference in buoyancy due to the weight of the hook. If that's the case, try carving a Large, Similarly coloured, Pop Up Boillie into the same shape & size as the dog biscuits.
The Pop Up is more buoyant & will counteract the weight of the hook so it looks more like the same as the Freebies!!

This is very true !! It’s tough to find places that let you ! Even this place has banned it now.
So how do you get distance with a cast now?
You don’t need to here, dipping the bread can give it enough weight to cast a fair distance as long as it’s hooked right, but you can use a surface controller float for distance 👌🏻

Use a larger bit of bread / make sure it’s fresh and fluffy, also don’t squeeze all the bread. Shouldn’t sink 👌🏻
Never will i use bread now ,try making some fake bread pop ups much better.

Let him show his skills in a wild pond with a current or in a river with the wind. And at a distance of 30m at least to the fishing spot.
