    Looks like your Victron saved you a lot of money not needing the gateway system. Thank you Victron. Don

      Well, Victron stuff isn't cheap either, Don. But at least it serves multiple functions for us.

    I have four SensorPush transmitters in my truck. One outside hidden behind the grill, one in my storage area, one in the "house" and one in my refrigerator. Love them!

      Excellent, RD! Another commenter mentioned SensorPush yesterday, and we were unfamiliar with them up until then. It sounds like they have similar functionality. What drove us to the RuuviTags was their integration with the Victron VRM, but if you don't need that I'm sure that the SensorPush transmitters are working very well for you.

    Seems like a great product.
    I can think of a few spots to stick them as well around our trailer.
    I like these informational videos during the winter break.
    Thanks,
    Ram

      We're very happy to hear that, Ram! Especially because you are in a minority; these videos don't perform nearly as well as our travel videos do in season.

    Thanks for this great product. We have been duct taping a thermometer to a window, such a pain.

    Hey these are cool! We use an mediocre weatherstation without nearly as much functionality. The Cerbo GX integration is very cool! Using these for Lifepo batteries is a great idea to prevent low temps (or at least learn about them). Thanks for sharing this!

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep! By using the Ruuvi sensor in the basement, we get a good idea of what the temperature is down there near our water hookups. Our Victron installation also has a battery temperature monitor attached to our battery bank. So we get readings from both sides of the basement.

    You said 8 feet of snow right?!! 😳 Nice! 😜 Those tags are pretty cool. $40 and $50 for the pro doesn't seem too bad. I have a 1997 Land Cruiser and it didn't come with any outside temp sensors so I hard wired one (outside and inside temps) but this would have been nice to have. I like wireless everything.

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That would have been a great use case, Nigel. And yes, I said 8 ft! (Actually, the final total was 9 ft. 😄)

    SensorPush has made this kind of a product for a long time, cheaper gateway, only $100 the sensors are more expensive….same alerts and such…

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for that, Eric! The reason we went with Ruuvi is the integration with Victron. Having everything on one platform is a huge plus as far as we're concerned.

    Thanks Marc. The Victron VRM... is that a subscription based service as well? If so, how does it compare with the Ruuvi subscription service? 🤔
    Gord

    • @GrandAdventure
      @GrandAdventure  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nope Gord, there's no subscription for that.

      @@GrandAdventure Wow... that's great. Huge plus for the Victron.
