Found a 1966 Cadillac Coupe De Ville with 66K 3 years ago in Scoharie, NY . Original owner parked it in 1988. Light blue up and down, no vinyl top, no A/C.... $5275 was sticker... Redid all systems, runs, shifts and drives excellent!! Love it.....
In 1970 as a 16 year old, I was looking for an old car In Auburn, NY, I saw a late 80's gentleman standing outside his old wood garage. In the dark corner I could see a dust covered early 30's coupe. It turned out to be an all original 1932 DeSoto 3 window rumbleseat coupe. The old guy was the original owner! He offered to sell it to me for $50 and wouldn't another dime. I brought her home, It came with 8 wire wheels and tires, the original owners manual and a DeSoto script tool kit. Two years later I took the original owner for a ride. He cried. Those days are long gone.
While purchasing an aluminum intake for my 66 Chevelle, from Craig’s List , at the farm where the transaction took place, in the back left hand corner of this very large barn, was a 1967 Shelby Cobra Mustang , under a bunch of blankets. Per the young gentleman I purchased the intake from, this is his father’s, second owner, been sitting in this corner for over 30 + years…very cool …
Moved to Lancaster County Pa. in the mid 80s and passed a 30th anniversary black/silver Corvette on the end of my daily commute. Almost home and a busy boy never stopped, (six mounts/year) barely visible from the little used road then gone.
Just about every car I have owned has been a Barn Find, My 73 Regal that I'm building/driving now wasn't actually in a Barn, it was in the Lean to next to the barn but it was under the same roof so that counts in my book. That 74 Plymouth is right up my alley, You know me, I'm into the different cars.
Gotta think that as long as the floor pans aren't completely rusted out, that Mustang Coupe is my "best deal" . That said, I love the Power Wagon, would be great for here on the farm. Lastly, that rear glass on the Edsel is absolutely EPIC!!!
2 actually. 1978 Dodge 3/4 ton crew cab. Was old BLM truck that I got from a citrus farmer in Somerton AZ. Other I didn’t get to purchase but was a 1965 (I think) Sunbeam Tiger found in the garage of an old house my wife’s boss bought at a tax sale in Ft Wayne, IN in 2002. Boss offered it to me but changed his mind and kept it himself.
I got lucky enough to have found a barn find and a garage find, the barn find was in 1982 the car was a 1956 Cadilac 62 series 4 door post. I was 17, my Dad and got the car for $100, body was mint drive train was not. we owned it for 3 years then sold the car. the 2nd was in 1988, the car was a 1965 F85 Cutlass coupe, body was real bad, but the drive train was good, at thew time I could not find the body parts it needed, I held on to it for 7 years, I kept the engine and still had it, not long after letting it go, I got on the internet and i was able to find everything, sadly did not have it and more. I feel you are luck to find at least 1, I found 2, I feel blessed even though I don't have either one. Thank you for the video's vary enjoyable.

I went to a estate sale, and in the barn, there was a 58 Ford Fairlane, and it was just a 2 door hardtop but it was turquoise and white in really decent shape, I bit on at $1,500 and bought it, and I trailered home and detailed it out over the weekend and I went to Ford to get it appraisal done and wound up selling it for, $6,000
I have a '66 Mustang with the 200 six cylinder also. It is a nice vehicle. Love the Dodge Power Wagon and the Edsel. I missed the chat though. I gotta keep a better eye on when you upload your videos.

Back in 2009-2010 I was exiting a neighborhood after responding to a medical aid that resulted in a refusal and passed a garage, in which sat a thickly dust-covered black, 1966 Chrysler Crown imperial - the garage door was up. I never went back to make inquiry and I've regretted it ever since.
Yes,it was a "72" camaro...the owner was an alzheimers patient,the car was buried under boxes & raccoon droppings...once out of the barn & cleaned up,was immaculate...no rust,dents or problems !!!!...got it for $500....probably never see another deal like THAT again !!!!
My cusins 1954 plymouth 4 hrs. cuz said everything worked fine. Only issue was both headlight were broken. Farther said it would be a TUFF find. so that car was a no-go. Ended up getting a ford pinto. I never drove it, but I heard that the guy that bought it from my dadreally got but on the Pinto........Ha...HA !!!!
Where do these people get they're prices from none of these vehicles are particularly rare.if you want top dollar at least present the car like you cared.maybe wash it .clean out the interior.get it out of the barn.

That would be the way I would do it to sell it for sure. but people love the mystery of finding a forgotten old car stuck off in an out of the way place and happening upon it, and then being challenged by the find to get it back up to at least usueable! I'm sorry, but these barn find cars videos are hard to take, not because of anything "Solon" has done but what the sellers expect of the vehicles! Few if any are classics, the descriptions are overly optimistic as to running condition or body/chrome state. The prices for most are ridiculously high! I've crushed better cars for scrap metal where the owner paid me to remove them from the barn, shed, what ever!

I found a 1972 monte carlo in a barn with 83 thousand miles on it bout a year ago paid 800 dollars for it been sitting for 10yrs no rust
