The way the defendant just walked out. He knows what's up and he is totally believable. He owned up to everything. She was definitely lying from start to finish about him driving without her permission.
I think it demonstrates how familiar he is with court proceedings
He had nothing to lose by owning up. He had no choice. He'd already been to court and fined for the accident. If he had any remorse for damaging her car, he could have said he drove without her permission so at least JJ would pay for the repairs. It's not a real court, it wouldn't be perjury. She let him drive now has no car.

Actually they all get paid. Both plaintiff and defendant. They get paid to fly out, to appear, and to fly back. Unfortunately these cases aren’t really “real”.

The producers look for interesting cases which if they agree to appear are dismissed from the local docket. You have their names and if you know what city and state, you'll find the cases with dismissed status on the local court records.

@@Tummyachesurvioroh yes they are! First of all, there’s a statement at the beginning of each show “the cases are real”. They wouldn’t be able to say that if they weren’t. And if you’ve ever see a court show with actors, it’s so blatantly obvious they are actors! Litigants on JJs show do not follow a script. It’s way too spontaneous.

Friend was in jail for 5 years, and she was supposedly dropping off another friend to see their parole officer. Girl, get a life, you have kids. Why do you have multiple friends that are in trouble with the law? You think they’ll be great father figures?

Taking people to see their probation officers, unlicensed drivers, not properly(fully) insured... Having to take him to see his PO because he got in trouble for "driving without a license" proves she knew he had no license. Plus, SHE made him take off when he wanted to call the Police😂. She dug her own grave, so many mistakes! Sadly, it sounds like a young child was in the middle of this whole fiasco. That's actually really sad.
Smart! This is exactly what happen. And she definitely did not have insurance that’s why she has no letter. Even if she did have insurance they still would have denied her claim. Saying she is no longer with founders. They still would have sent her a letter.

He asked to drive…because he’s a man. She said okay. When they got into an accident. He fled the scene and they switched places. She did not have insurance but the car was registered to her and she had a license. When the witness identified the male as the driver, she was arrested for obstruction and he was charged for driving without a license.
JJ thinks the whole story is made up. But having grown up around a certain type of character, I know it’s true. It’s truly stupid for him to drive. It’s truly stupid for her to expect recompense. But the story is true…even his wearing his mother’s lingerie on his head.
This is like the third person she did that to, and they did it 😭
